We had our furnace replaced, as well as air conditioning installed by Green Tech back in 2020. The furnace and A/C has been great and has improved our quality of life at home. We needed a repair recently due to water damage from a leak in our roof. Scott promptly responded, advised us about long term solutions, and quickly repaired the issue, which had the furnace back to running at full capacity. Scott is knowledgeable about his products and is solution-oriented when it comes to maintenance.
Love Scott and Abe! They installed a mini split in our rental unit. They were timely, professional and did quality work. When we have any questions they are quick to respond and help out with any needs. You’re in great hands if you choose GreenTech!
I had originally met Scott and Abe back in 2020 when I selected them to replace my tenants AC and furnace (I own a duplex) and obviously had to have them back when the time came to replace my own furnace and AC this past week. I cannot say enough great things about Scott and Abe and the work that they do. Scott came out to do the inital bid and offered great suggestions and solutions. He was genuine and I got the sense immediately that he just wanted to help me figure out the best solution for my needs. Scott and Abe were great communicators before the install, they thoughtfully explained what was happening throughout the install, and then walked me through the intricacies of the system afterwards to set me up for success. The work itself was completed in a timely manner and Scott and Abe arrived when they said they would. The left the area they worked in cleaner than they found it. In addition to installing the furnace, AC and ductwork we had planned, they helped troubleshoot and fix a room in my home that wasn't getting great air flow and identified that I needed more efficient vents (and then ran to the store to find the right ones and installed them!). They really went the extra mile to help me with all of my concerns related to heating and cooling my home, even though it created extra work and effort on their part. This meant so much to me. Scott and Abe are genuine and kind dudes who were enjoyable to have in my home during the install. I would HIGHLY reccomend them. I'll keep my fingers crossed we all run into each other at a show in the future and get to enjoy a beer together one day.
Scott and Abe from GreenTech are the absolute best - hire them! They are personable, dependable, trustworthy, provide clear estimates, are excellent at answering questions and explaining their work and the systems they install. They put in my new central AC just in time for repeated 90-plus degree summer days, and my little 1912 home with full basement is all cool and comfy. Great value as well; I know I can depend upon GreenTech for any future maintenance needs, especially a new heater which I will likely need in the future.
In the middle of 100° our heat pump died. It was 30years old. Abe came out assessed the situation explained my options. He was able to install a complete new unit within 3 days of my call. He was on time, worked a long day so I didn't have to go another night in the heat. Left our place neat and clean. I would highly recommend Green Tech.
Would have had a 5 star rating when we got this installed in 2017, but after several years of horrible service I regret we ever did business with Scott. Straight up lack of replies to multiple emails and when he does reply it's with a super patronizing tone and I just don't do business with douchey bros.
Scott and Abe did an amazing job installing a new AC unit at our house. They gave us a fair quote, were excellent communicators, and arrived at the site when they said they would. We are super pleased with the outcome. They came recommended from a friend and I would recommend them to anyone who has heating/cooling needs.
Green Tech did an excellent job moving our furnace and rebuilding the ductwork in our basement. Scott and Abe went out of their way to minimize the impact of the work on the rest of our house and had helpful suggestions regarding placement. They are friendly, conscientious, and keep a very clean workplace. I wish they remodeled basements, I’d hire them to do our entire project!
Scott and Abe installed a brand new ductless heating system at my place, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Great communication and attention to detail. I received a few bids from local competitors and GT was by far the most cost-effective, while not compromising on quality/features. Absolutely would recommend them for any ductless installs in the Portland area!
Scott and Abe are amazing! Their work is superb, fast, and the finished product is excellent. They’re respectful and worked closely with us to find the best solution that fit our house and budget. We’re so happy with our new furnace and air conditioning system! It’s almost silent and the high-efficiency fan circulates air through the filter 24/7 to clean pollen, pet dander, and dust which helps our family with allergies. Green Tech comes highly recommended for any heating, ventilation, and air conditioning project!
We are very happy Greentech Heating clients. Our old furnace completely died a couple of weeks ago, just as a winter snow storm was about to hit Portland. Scott and Abe were able to shift some scheduled work around and get a new furnace installed the next day! Scott chatted about the pros and cons of fixing the existing furnace vs installing a new one. His HVAC knowledge is deep, and we aways feel like we're in good hands, and appreciate the professional work. Thank you Scott & Abe. (This is, in fact, the second furnace Scott has installed for us, He replaced an oil furnace with a gas furnace at our old place, back in 2013. It ran without perfectly for the 7 years we lived there).
Scott knows the ins and outs of HVAC and really takes care of his customers. He and Abe are fast, efficient installers, took extra COVID precautions, and took the time to train us on our new NEST thermostat. We couldn't be happier we chose Green Tech!

Scott and his partner Abe were very responsive to our furnace outage. They came by to diagnose the issue(s), clearly communicated the options we had - we chose to install a new furnace. They showed up when promised, worked extra hard to get heat back in the house on the first day, and maintained a clean jobsite. After the job was complete, Scott walked us through how to efficiently run our thermostat and keep our new furnace running for life. The value and professionalism that Scott and Abe provide is among the best I've experienced with local contractors. Thanks for taking care of us!
I can never say I was the type of person to have the newest cellphone or shoes on the block growing up but I feel that hands down I now have the best heating system in my neighborhood! Thanks to Scott and GreenTech they upgraded our system from an 80% unit to one that is now running at 96% efficiency. Scott and team at GreenTech did a wonderful job and were extremely accommodating towards us. When our heater went out in the middle of November right as the frigid cold nights started creep into your bones GreenTech completely understood and they were able meet for consultation immediately and replaced our unit in no time.
I’ve never written a review before...I wish I could think of something clever and eye catching to grab your attention. But this is what you need to know: GreenTech replaced my furnace with an American Standard (gold series) and installed an air conditioner at the same time; also an American Standard (silver series) in April 2016. Scott and his team are THE BEST to work with. You will see many reviews about his excellent communication~it’s true. He is quick to get back over email and text. He told me the work would take two days and it actually only took two days! He and his crew showed up when they said they would and finished on time. (Furnace the first day, A/C unit the next) They did an excellent job cleaning up each day when they were done. GreenTech’s prices are good. I got three quotes. The units I chose from GreenTech were the same brand but a higher efficiency and less cost than the first company’s quote (shiny/slick salesman) and were similar to another quote but when I met Scott, I knew he is an authentic guy who knew what he was talking about. (I was a property manager for both residential and commercial properties for many years and have a lot of experience buying and replacing HVAC systems and working with HVAC guys). When the salesman type guy comes to your home to give you an estimate, although you may get a sense of liking that person and how they represent their company, you don’t know who is going to actually show up at your house and do the work. Scott gives the estimate AND does the work so you know and feel good about who you are letting into your home. In Oct 2018 a part failed on my furnace (I hesitate to add this but it all ties into why you need to hire GreenTech). It was a bad electrical something-or-other (can’t remember exactly) that was a manufacturer’s issue. I emailed Scott, he came out the same day, found the problem (since it was a piece inside the furnace he had to order it from the company) and replaced it a couple days late

Highly recommend Greentech Heating and Cooling. Scott is extremely knowledgeable - an HVAC savant! He is able to quickly diagnose any issues/problems and will give you detailed options at varying price points. We have used Greentech for ductless heat pump installation and for furnace and AC replacement, we were very happy with his work and have since referred him to several friends. If you are looking for quality, honest HVAC work then this is the company you should use!

I hired Green Tech to install air conditioning at my home (August 2019) and could not have been happier with how the project turned out, from start to finish. When initially getting the estimate, Scott clearly explained each option with pros and cons, and how installation would work. The day of the project, everyone on site was respectful of my time and home and made sure everything was working as expected before leaving. Bottom line is, Scott is down-to-earth, honest, and does a great job at a fair price, and I would definitely recommend Green Tech to friends and family.
