Sandy was very pleasant to speak with and set me up for my annual maintenance!
Had them come out on Dec 21 to tune-up my oil furnace. Post visit, my furnace turned off twice in a month, and I still had plenty of oil. I called Stankus during the first time the heat was off, and a different technician came out and told me he would have to charge me $180 just to go downstairs before he even touched anything. I told him forget it, as I was able to get the heat back on. When the second occurrence happened on Feb 1, I called them back and left a message. Nobody called me back until I called in AGAIN and left another message. I got a call from the secretary who said she had to wait til the technician got back to her about when he could come out. 1 week later and no call. So, last night (Feb 8), the furnace went off again. I called Burton Sheet Metal this time who came out today (Feb 9) - the same day I called them. The tech told me the main oil supply line to the furnace was closed. He had no idea why it was not turned back on. The only way my furnace was getting heat was through the old water heater oil line. He turned it back on, and now I have heat. So bottom line, I had to pay another $150 for Stankus' screw up. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I use Stankus to inspect and service all my Heating and Air conditioning and have for 20 years. They are responsive in emergencies, courteous and competent when in my home. Very happy with them.

We have been using Stankus for years to maintain our homes heating systems but recently hired them to install air conditioning. We did our due diligence and got several quotes since it was such a big ticket item. After Jack did a thorough walkthrough of our home and gave us his suggestions, we knew he was our guy and we hired them to do the install. The equipment came in fast and they were able to schedule us for an install sooner than expected. The crew was on-time, professional, and left our house very clean after each work day. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend them.

To say Stankus provides great customer service and knowledgeable installation and repair is quite an understatement. My husband and I have had the unfortunate opportunity to work with many heating and cooling companies for both repair and installation at other homes. None have compared to the extraordinary service we receive from Stankus. After Purchasing our most recent home built in 1940 we had several urgent heating repair needs. Status always provided exceptional service every time they came to service the furnace. Ultimately we decided to replace our furnace and also install an AC unit. We received quotes from five companies to be responsible about our investment. Jack Stankus’ quote was not the highest, not the lowest, but was very fair. We had hoped his prices were competitive given the excellent services we had received. Digging in to the detail of our quotes (unit brands, motor, SEER, etc.) Stankus was (thankfully to our delight) the best option. Clint and Alex came out to install our furnace and AC unit. We had met Clint before on some of our previous repair calls. What a genuinely delightful guy! He is brilliant in this industry and definitely knows his stuff. Plus he saved us money on installation of our ac unit duct work. Another great win! Alex, who we had just met was equally kind, and did a great job. One particular thing we love about working with the team at Stankus is how absolutely friendly and knowledgeable everyone is. I spoke with Carla several times before, during, and after installation and she was a tremendous help. I’m not certain of Carla’s job title but she is often the one who answers the phone. Very pleasant and as I said extremely knowledgeable. It came as no surprise to find out that she is also certified in HVAC. This is another huge benefit to working with Stankus over other companies: even their in-house team members are well versed in the industry! Very professional, clean, fair pricing. We plan on using them whenever there is a HVAC issue or when we need maintenance. They hunted down a $400 rebate on our new furnace and arranged for a free home energy audit for us.

Jack came out & reviewed our requirements & put together a fair & competitive package for a new American Standard furnace, AC, thermostat, & air cleaner. We compared 3 other quotes for similar equipment & Stankus offered the best package. We have never done business with Stankus. Stankus Heating and Cooling just installed a new furnace and air conditioner in our home. Clint, the technician, and Alex, were wonderful. They cleaned up afterwards and explained the entire system to us! Originally, I called Jack Stankus to come over to quote the new system for me and he came within the hour. He sat down with us to explain everything. This was much better than the other company, that simply emailed us a quote days later with no explanation. Highly recommend Stankus Heating & Cooling!
Stankus Heating & Cooling converted my house from electric to natural gas over 30 years ago, and when it was time for a replacement their quote for a quality full HVAC sytem install was again better than their competitors. The installers were professional, knowlegeable, on time and did an excellent job. Hopefully this system will last as long as the first one.
Choosing Stankus Heating & Cooling for the installation of our new furnace was a great choice. I had an initial visit to repair my very old furnace. They did their assessment and discussed with me thoroughly what issues were found. My decision was to replace with a new more efficient unit. After I gave the go ahead, within a week they had the new furnace and scheduled an install date. Their installers (Ray & Brandon) were prompt, courteous and very professional. They took great care to make sure that the entire pathway to our basement was covered to avoid a mess as it was raining. I appreciated this extra step. The install looks very neat, clean and professional. When they were completed, they covered all of the information in detail. They also left the area as clean as when they arrived! I would highly recommend that you hire Stankus Heating & Cooling for your heating project.
