Easy to make an appt and soon!
Rural Plumbing came out in Monday's snow storm and aptly undertook a huge fix at my house. What more can you say? Way to go guys!
Very poor telephone manners. I called with a business matter and the lady that answered was very short and rude and hung up on me twice. Not professional at all. I suggest they change the person who is the first contact with the public. She is not suited for that job.
I had a water leak from the inlet of my dishwasher. Rural Plumbing came out that day as requested. They were on time, professional, and got the job done right. They capped the line, because they didn't have the part to fix it, but came back a a later date with the part and did not charge for another service call. I would use them again and recommend to my neighbors.

These guys do a terrible job. They don’t do the job they are paid for. They’ve been out several times charging my poor mother repeatedly for a job they haven’t completed. Be wary of a company trying to take advantage of an elderly widow.
Every time they come, they are efficient, professional and reasonable!! Exceptional service! Jonathan and Donald were such pros!
Many experiences with this well run and honest company...from our own needs to those of my MIL . Never had anything but the best service with fair prices. Companies with this level of integrity are too few and far between now.
I've been a customer of Rural Plumbing since 2002. They have always been reliable and fair priced. I've had many service calls over the years and I've always been pleased with the plumbers on site. My last experience was recent and I stopped by their HQ off near Atlantic and Six Forks to see if I could get a replacement valve for my older outside faucet. The manager took time from his lunch to search the warehouse and find the exact parts I needed.... and was so kind not to charge me. I was really impressed with the care the provide.
I have had Rural make a few repairs (HVAC and Plumbing) and then a full heatpump replacement over the past 10 years I have been in my home. They are organized and easy to deal with. I have shopped their price and they have always been competitive.
Purchased new house in May 2018 and after moving in realized we had horrible water pressure in house and outside hose faucets. We contacted them and they sent plumber out to tell us it was because we had 3/4” meter from the city that was causing our problems. Called city and they checked the pressure with no issues on their side and all meters are 3/4” in island. Not to mention both our nieghbors have great pressure. So we called a plumber and he pointed out they ran 1/2” lines they the entire house which is why we have no water flow. Our outside faucets barely spray 6’ with sprayer nozzle. Needless to say neither SECOF or the plumber they hired Rural plumbing wanted to fix the problem. There only response was that it passed inspection.
Excellent service! I called Rural to fix my hot water tank because a family member said they completed service on her hot water heater for much less $ than another company had quoted. I had my hot water tank looked at by my handyman prior to calling Rural because I wasn’t sure if the problem was due to a pipe or the tank itself. He told me that I had a leak in my expansion tank but I needed to call a plumber because he could not repair a gas unit. He said my 2008 heater was in good condition though. I called Rural and told them That I needed an expansion tank replacement. They able to arrive in an hour. I was concerned they would try to talk me into replacing the tank entirely but it was never mentioned. They took my word regarding what I needed. The technician had the part with him and ready to go when he arrived. When he was finished, he took the time to show me how to turn the gas off to my unit if I happen to have issues in the future and made recommendations for insulation in my utility closet for winter to protect the hot water heater pipes. Very pleased with this company!
I have 2 units, one for upstairs and one for downstairs, and the 3 guys, Gio, Daniel, and Fabio, arrived on time and replaced everything quickly and cleanly. The price I got from Rural beat the competitors price by about $1K. I've used Rural for a number of years for service and they've been a good service company. The last tech, Ken, did a great job and was very professional. Didn't realize ants could short your AC unit, but he showed me otherwise.
I had a capacitor go out in my outside unit. I knew it was a capacitor but was tied up with work and didn't have time to fix it myself so I called these guys. I called and they showed up the next day within the time-frame, however, it seems they price gouge. I was charged a service fee of $90.00 and hen $204.40 for the capacitor. He also put 2 pounds of R-22 in for $225. I was expecting the capacitor to maybe be $75 max (since you can get capacitors all day at home depot for $10 to $20). I would call someone else and wouldn't recommend this company unless you like paying $$$.
The tech came unprepared and unable to do anything. Keep the service charge I will not call back.
Rural has done several jobs for us over the last 3 years and we have been very pleased with their work. Highly recommend.
Have used them for the past 8 years for different types of plumbing and HVAC needs that accompany owning an older home. They're fast, friendly, thorough and most of have proven to be extremely reliable!
I called because my disposal was leaking--they showed within the time window provided, assessed the situation, and decided to put in a new disposal. They were quick, courteous, and professional. They took all trash, left the warranty with me, and were respectful of my home. Will definitely use again for any future plumbing needs!
