Alex was able to identify the exact cause for the long pending issue which other technicians could not find about moisture around the dryer went . The technician was very knowledgeable and helpful.
If garbage was a review that's what I'd leave. Lost money and pay to be home for their repair and they don't show or call. Not the first time either. DO NOT RECOMMEND ROMANOFF IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST AND IM A REALTOR WHO WILL GLADLY SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYREALTOR, BUILDER nd CLIENTI HAVE!!
If I could give this company zero stars I would! They aren’t responsive. Terrible customer service. Even top management doesn’t care to call you about your concerns. This company is awful and had I known the experience would be this way I would’ve requested someone else install and warranty my services! Zero stars!
Horrendous customer service. We had signed a two year contract with them and will not be renewing.
If “piss poor” were a company it would certainly be them. I have had the displeasure of dealing with Tonya to schedule this awful company to come to my residence to fix a thermostat on the first level of my home. It has been 5 weeks straight of canceled appointments, the day of, failure to show, and utter incompetence. We have not had heat on the first level for over a month now. Note to the wise, if you have an appointment scheduled and receive a call from Tonya the day of, don’t pick up. She’s calling to reschedule.
Alex came to service our tankless water heater (Apex,NC) and even though he was not sent with with materials, instead of letting it go another day he found a way to get the materials and fix all the same day. This was a new build warrantee call to fix another contractors mistake. Because of Alex we had hot water again. He was professional and very polite.
After having my appointment canceled less than 24hrs before, because my appointment wasn't a priority for them, after explaining I had purposely taken the day off, they didn't care. Next appointment not until December. Sorry. You lost a customer. Decided to go with Michael & Sons. Got an appointment straight away, and cheaper too!!
Truckers refuse to deliver here at all cost! Super tight and impossible to back into dock, They have box trucks, van and pallets of stuff blocking you from backing and employees are refusing to move them for you! Also after you unload you can’t pull out and have to back out of yard to street which is dangerous & illegal.
Already have to replace one of my outdoor air conditioners. It failed just outside of the warranty window. Based on other reviews this seems to be a trend. If you move into a new home and see them listed as your installer, expect to pay for their incompetence down the road.
Very bad customer service.
Romanoff had installed our Lenar Heating and cooling system. When we did a our one year inspection our inspector discovered that we had a gas leak. We had been living in the house for a year without knowing the danger not only of a possible fire or explosion but damage to our health. Romanoff came to fix the gas leak and said that some pipes had been connected wrong and they had to switch them to fix the problem. This was during the winter when the heating was on. When we turned our cooling system we discovered that we had a leak an the pan in the attic was full of water. This time we did not want to call Romanoff back and called another company who said that some pipes had been switched and connected wrong. We hope that when the heating is on again we do not encounter other issues. A year old equipment and $200 cost of repair.
Would not recommend this company.
My thermostat went bad, completely died. I called the builder (Lennar) since I didn't know who to call. They took 3 days to call me back just to tell me to call Romanoff. I had a service company come out ($70) to make sure it was just the thermostat. They confirmed that and also they skipped over some things (missing parts). Finally got a hold of Romanoff who said they had to do their own diagnostic ($90) and then $175 for the labor to replace it. I said it's just cheaper to switch it out myself and their response was if I did, my warranty would be voided. I asked about the missing parts and they said it was untrue. The lady on the phone (Stephanie) was very rude, unhelpful, and not the least interested in helping me. Judging by all the other comments here I'm not the only one. Since it's a Honeywell thermostat I called them and they are gladly shipping me a replacement free of charge. Kindness goes a long way these days. So does good customer service.
Our home builder used Romanoff to install our HVAC system. 1.5 years later we’re having to pay out of pocket for it leaking because it wasn’t installed right. Based on their current rating, we’ve decided to not even attempt to have them correct their poor workmanship.
Professional and Friendly Service With upcoming heatwave, my AC unit was not performing as expected. I contacted Stephanie and she confirmed my warranty information and was able to send someone out to look at my system the same day within a couple of hours. Colin quickly identified the issue and resolved. He took the time to explain what was wrong and things to look out for. Price to fix was also very reasonable. I had a great experience with both Stephanie and Colin and will be sure to request him if needed in the future.
We used Romanoff to do the HVAC and electrical for our basement finishing project. I thought they were very easy and reasonable to work with. Jason was out contact on site and he made sure everything on the HVAC side was done correctly for the right price.
Terrible customer service. AC went out, company replied to my warranty claim a week later saying that because another company came out to diagnose (not fix) the problem, the warranty was void. Pathetic.
My unit is about 3 years old and called Romanoff as they were the original installer on my Lennar home with Lennox system. This was the 2nd time in 3 years my defroster board went bad. Good that is was still under warranty. I don't mind paying companies a fair wage as HVAC work being mobile involves time and expenses. The original diag was $99 and then was charged another $350 in labor to install a defrost board under warranty. The part was not in stock and they had to come back to install. Technician was in and out in about 45 minutes. 4.0 stars for the responsiveness of office staff and technicians were nice. But almost 500 bucks for warranty work on a job that took less than an hour is too pricey. 1.5 stars for how much they charge.
Original installer of my HVAC on new construction so I decided to use them. I've owned my house for 22 months. They've been twice. The last time it took hours of calls during business hours to get someone to answer. After the third system failure this past week and not having any heat over night I called another company. They showed me why my emergency heat wasn't working (not connected) and what was happening with my unit which was extremely cheaper than the suggested repair from Romanoff. Also after they started being in the closet for a few minutes he kept hearing electrical noises and shut down the electricity to the unit. After opening the switch box he found some of the inside completely melted. Seems pretty dangerous. I'm glad I finally called someone else.
La mejor.
