"STAY AWAY FROM USING THEIR SERVICES" - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Purchased entire HVAC system from them: 1. connection of the hose needed to be outside - they installed it inside and this caused a flood. 2. New water heater "leaked". Although I told them this in the first 2 months, they refused to replace it. They patched it and painted a different color than it should have been. 3. Stated complaint to the owner "Steve" and instead of apologizing to me, he eventually "cursed me out". NOT SURE HOW THEY REMAIN IN BUSINESS. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THEY TAKE NO OWNESS IN ANYTHING.
With the extreme cold temperatures coming to our area in the next few days. We had an issue with our heating unit and thermostat. Daniel was extremely professional, and very personal and was able to diagnose the complex issue with our wireless system. Daniel had a solution and had the replacement part on the truck. They had our unit back up and running after being without it for a few days in the cold. We will be using Mid State again for all of our HVAC and plumbing needs!
I cannot say enough good things about this company! My furnace stopped working in the middle of a 30 degree night - I called Midstate around 2am, not expecting anyone to answer, but to my surprise, I actually spoke to a live representative who took the time to listen & understand my problem. I had a technician out to diagnose the issue by 8:30 that morning, they gave me a quote for the repairs and discussed my options. Since my unit was from 2010 and was more likely to keep having issues, I wanted to look into potentially just replacing the whole thing. The office got me on the schedule and a field supervisor came over that same day around noon. I could tell both the tech and field supervisor were extremely knowledgeable and truly cared about making sure I understood my options and was confident and comfortable with my decision to replace the unit. They installed my new furnace the next day! The installers were very professional, clean, and efficient. I'm so happy I decided to call them, my home has never been so comfortable!! I whole-heartedly recommend this company!
My aunt had a central a/c unit replaced. This company was recommended from a friend. The unit was replaced in her attic. A few days later it flooded her kitchen from a condensation overflow. Since this has happened, she has been getting the run around from them. When they say they are going to show up they don't. This has been going on for over 2 months and still have not had her ceiling fixed. Do yourself a favor and stay away. I am writing this complaint for my 80 year old aunt who lives in a 1,000 sq. Ft retirement complex. We have not gotten very far with them and would not like to see this happen to anyone else.
One of the best companies I've used in a while. These guys are great but most importantly they very efficient and reliable in the work they preform, 10/10 must recommend.
No wonder they have a D- better business bureau rating! Home owners - STAY AWAY!!!! After spending $17,600 on 4 units from this company, 2 AC units and 2 furnace’s for my home less than 1 yr ago, the AC unit in my attic started to leak into ceilings in bedroom, bathroom and living room. Pictures attached to this post show my ceilings and walls after service master came and removed damaged sheet rock and walls after botched installation job by Mid State. Industrial fans were left running at my home for a week to dry up water in my attic and prevent any mold problems in the future. I have video of condensation water dripping from duct missing the drip pan and over flowing onto my attic floor, however I’m not able to load a video on to this post. I did however send the video, attached pictures and copy of invoice for the service call to the owner (Bob) via email. I called the office several times to speak with Bob(owner) and was informed that he wasn’t in, or on a service call or had an emergency etc basically avoiding my calls. I spoke with Steve, the installation manager, Mckenzie, Stefanie and Anj who were all sympathetic to my situation and in agreement that something needs to be done. I have $2500 worth of damage caused by the improper installation of this AC unit. I asked for their insurance information so that I could submit a claim. No information was provided. After several calls to this company, I happened to call again and Bob answered the phone. He acted as though he wasn’t familiar with my situation. He played dumb! So I had to enlighten him. He basically told me that he was not going to do anything for me. He said that drains were not under warranty. This had nothing to do with a drain. The invoice states the technician “taped all seams on wrap where leak was coming from”, to resolve, quote from work receipt. The water dripped outside of pan directly into ceiling, resolution was to re-tape wrap. THIS WAS NOT A DRAIN ISSUE!!! This was a unit that w
Today was extremely hot and I called Midstate to fix my AC. They sent a technician over right away and he was extremely professional, friendly and clean! He got my AC working and saved me and my family from suffering in the heat!!
Mid State I stalled an air conditioner and air handler for me during covid. I was not able to close the permit with the town for 2 years following covid. Once I was able to get it inspected, It failed inspection for something minor. Mid state responded out within 3 days and corrected the issue. All of the employees were very helpful.
Stay away from this company! We had a brand new system installed two years ago, and it has not worked correctly from day one. After many service calls over two years, they problem was finally discovered, and the owner will NOT stand behind his work and fix the issue. Awful customer service!! As per the reply from Midstate - Our original contract , the line was supposed to be replaced upon installation. Part of the reason we had a new unit installed was due to the leak. The " salesmen" was made WELL AWARE of the situation.

came in to check heating system,furnace is not working.service manager came checked the heater unclear about problem but thought needs some parts.he said he will order them and will come, take care of the issue asap.however his office was rude,outright nasty and demanding upfront money before they rectify the problem,we already paid for service call. Unfortunately they installed our generator few years ago almost blew up our house.they also service our generac.inspite of that they are rude and didnot care that we are their customers.refused to do the work until we paid ahead of time for said repair.Horrible service,regret that i used them until now.Beware of this company,lost180 dollars for service call ,had to call new co.
This company came to service our neighbors generator and ending up "servicing" our generator instead. They ended up leaving the oil cap off and we noticed that the oil had spilled over causing issues with our generator. We called once we noticed since our company did not want to touch it now because they are not liable for some else's mistakes. Not only did they call us liars, when we had proof of service to the WRONG household, but now they do not want to fix it. The professional of this company is beyond sub-par and the "owner" who was supposed to call me never did. This is ridiculous, stay away from this company for any future servicing as they are not only rude, but they don't seem to know what they are doing.
Do not hire this contractor! MidState initially came to my home to perform a maintenance call. At that time the technician allowed Freon to escape from my outdoor AC unit. The unit later then stopped working. I called the office and Terry told me they would have to charge me a service fee. At that time I questioned her as to how we would know if I was at fault or MidState was at fault for the unit not working. Terry said the only way to tell was to send someone out. Another tech came out and explained that the only reason the unit stopped working was because it was low on Freon. I assumed then that meant that MidState would be responsible for the problem. I was wrong. Countless messages were not returned. I spoke with the owner one day and he assured me that he would call me back. He did not. Awful customer service.
Very honest people could of sold me the world,but we're honest and told what I wanted would not be feasible in the area I wanted it.I WILL be calling in the future for work.
Please read all negative reviews and think twice before hiring this people. Most of the time, positive reviews are written by friends and family! We called them during early August to troubleshoot central AC. The technician came and worked on it but did not fix it properly! Within couple of days, the same problem has occurred! We called them to report the problem as it should be guaranteed for a month but they said that they will charge to visit again and were not cooperative over the phone! Btw, they charge $170 to visit which is way higher than most of the HVAC contractors. We found a local contractor with excellent google reviews and charging $110 for visit!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!! Extremely disorganized company. Lost my survey, no call no show on install day, forgot to submit permit paperwork for 2 months, tried to blame me for the extra month in delays when permits weren’t paid for when it explicitly states they pay for them in our contract, failed to have a pressure test done on new gas line before unit was in operation so inspections were failed. The list goes on and on and each time there is an issue there is a new excuse and a new person to blame. It has been months now and I am still trying to sort out the mess they have created.
Company was hired to install a generator. The work they did was hazardous with gas lines dangling in the air not anchored down. They were supposed to put the line in the ground and did one of the worst jobs you could ever imagine. One of the worst experiences I have ever had. The salesperson is a snake and misled my wife and the work is total amateur. They even started the job without permits filed which is illegal. Can't wait to see them in court since they are suing us for their garbage work. Stay far far away from these people.
I had Mid-State install a Generac standby generator. It was the most professional job done in my house in the 22 years I have lived here. They came at the promised time, finished on time and when they left, my house looked as if no one was ever here. I cannot recommend them high enough
Mid-State replaced the two-zone heat/AC in my house with high efficiency Trane units. I was very happy with their work, professionalism, and price. They hooked up nest thermostats and showed me how to used them and also walked me through the state rebate process to get thousands of dollars back for installing high efficiency units. I'm excited to see how much my utility bills drop now. I couldn't be happier, highly recommended!!
The service was wonderful. My complaint is units. They are so loud. I had mine put in May. They came out twice because the air unit was so loud. They got it a quiet as they could. Now that we just turned on the heat it is awfully loud. I would never had gotten it is I knew how loud they were. You would think with technology the units would be quieter. My old unit was 25 years old and 20 times quieter. I would of paid more for a quieter unit. My advice check around for a quieter brand. I just wish it wasn’t such a expensive lesson learned.
