They do a great job! Annual tune-ups are typically booked months in advance!

Heard Dan Anderson yelling at an employee I was talking to about washing machine. The man I was on the phone with kept apologizing for his rude coworker. I’ve never once called this place with a supervisor being that rude to a coworker. All I heard was the guy in the background telling the man on the phone to stop talking and listen.

(David # 237954) Came to our home on Friday Morning. I did not hear my cell when he called me. But I sure appreciated when he was standing in front of my door. especialy after having no air for 3 days. I just wish we had more Man like him in this world, because he was so nice. he was very clean after he got done with the job. He was so good in explaining what he had to do. He has the most amazing customer service I have not seen for a long time. It's so hard today to find good people like him. Thank you, Center point Energy, for having a good employee like David That makes me feel safe and appreciate his kindness. What amazing Man. Thank you, David, for the good work you did fixing my Air. Ask for David he is the best :)

I am so frustrated! I scheduled my appointment for spring tune up months before the chosen June date, my husband took off work for that date, then less than one week prior I received an email message with a rescheduled date in an entirely different email. I have called twice and emailed once to no avail (case was opened second time given no one contacted me as promised with my first inquiry). The rescheduled time is not acceptable/I had no input as of yet I am getting no help to remedy the situation. I have been a customer for years but will likely end the relationship soon. I sm so dissatisfied especially given my multiple attempts to get help.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend Home Service Plus. What used to be a good value is mostly obsolete in today's world. 9 times out of 10, when your appliance is acting up, there's a caveat in the HSP coverage that precludes you from being covered in that instance. Example: The evap coil for my AC unit has failed. The AC no longer functions. The AC unit is not covered because the evap coil is not covered. They go hand-in-hand. They are part of a closed loop system, and it makes no sense that they would not be covered as a combination package. So HSP offered to recharge my system at the low low rate of 2x what every other contractor has estimated for me. I had a similar experience with my furnace and HSP. They came out and told me the particular issue I was having was not covered, and that they could charge me a fee to fix it instead. I had the maximum level of repair coverage. It was a common failure and ultimately cost me a few hundred dollars to repair through another company. I would recommend squirreling away the money you save by not having HSP into an emergency fund intended for home appliance repair. I've probably given HSP $1000s over the years. Haven't gotten a dime back.

I have a HSP plan with CenterPoint Energy and I have had nothing but a positive experience with them. Just recently I had them come out to look at an AC that is not working correctly knowing that not everything for an AC is covered. Zack and Pete who came were awesome! They located a major leak, which unfortunately was on a part (evap. coil) that needs to be replaced and is still under warranty with original installer. So I will have that original installer fix the warranty. These guys were very helpful and when all was said and done I had zero cost because of the HSP plan. Now on to deal with a warranty issue with the original installer (whom I already have had enough bad experiences with). Thanks Zack and Pete for your great work!

Very good service. We'll worth the program especially if you have renters. Workers are professional and nice.

We have scheduled to have our dryer looked at THREE TIMES. Each time, we have gotten a call saying our appointment was unable to be kept for whatever reason. I get a dryer isn't as important as someone's air conditioner but to keep putting us off and pushing our appointment out a full week is incredibly ridiculous. We pay for this service and have rarely taken advantage of it. We have only used it once and this is the second time we've called to have someone come. I am unbelievably upset that we've been pushed off so many times and it's starting to feel like nobody is going to come. We have actually scheduled a separate company to come out at this point because we are expecting to be canceled on a 4th time. We might drop the HSP part of our bill because honestly, what in the heck are we even paying for at this point?

Bad service and customer service representatives. Waited for over 12 hours ln multiple days to get my AC repaired and washer (previously). However, they failed to show up on 3 different occasions without any updates or calls. They then rescheduled a service time for a time which doesn't work for my schedule. It is over 85° in the house and I have medical issues. I asked the representative for compensation for a hotel room. He said they do not do that. I explained that it's not safe due to the high heat within the house. He offered zero remorse or healthy solutions for their lack of incompetence and shotty work ethic. I asked to speak to a manager, he then hung up on me. Worst service around.

Glad to have HSP as they’ve repaired many appliances in my home. Might take them more than one try but they don’t give up. Technicians are always hard workers.

My experience for using the HSP, service was amazing. Easy to schedule my service. EE #234170 (CY) was professional, patient and explained everything he was doing. It was a 90 degree day and he was not leaving until I had the ac running. My problem was major and it took sometime to diagnose but he didn’t give up and stuck with it. Wish there were more technician like him. When he left my house was back to cooling and several hours later working as it should. It was very satisfying knowing I had this plan and help was on the way. Without this it could have cost me several 100’s just to diagnose the problem. Thanks CY, triple AAA service!

Hot water heater leaking without my knowledge. Laundry room flooded. Soonest appointment was 2 days later. Had to call a plumber who came in 3 hours and fixed the problem and cleaned up the mess. Save your money. There are other options if you want peace of mind

CenterPoint Energy is a bad company. One of their drivers hit me on my bicycle, and they're not compensating me fairly. The driver had a stop sign, and I did not. It was in the middle of the day. My bicycle was totaled, and they have refused to pay for a new one. I incurred additional commuting and parking costs as a result, also. Bad, bad company. Bad, bad people. Do not trust them.

Terrible service from under-educated professionals that comes very late and doesn't cover much. 1- doesn't cover our boiler heating system because it is in zones (they don't work on zoned heating) 2- said they'd fix our stove. That was about a year and a half ago. They haven't come. I call for updates and they keep saying they'll come in a couple months. 3-they're scheduled out a full month to look at our AC unit. The people that come are googling the problem, to inform me what I already know and told them in the online form- there's a leak in the system. You guessed it- it's not covered either.

Since there is no choice in service provider, Centerpoint is allowed to operate like a Monopoly. We were charged $3000 for a warranty replacement on a failed water heater. In what world is that OK? It's not like we can use the competition because they get to operate as a monopoly and screw whomever they choose. Pretty sure my address in in the United States of America.

Frustrated to say the least! 2 1/2 weeks ago when the weather was 90 degrees, my AC was having issues so I set up the earliest appointment for a tech to come out. Today 4/25 which was the earliest available appointment, I was given a 12 hour window; I took off work and at 9:30 am, the day of the appointment I received an email from HSP saying my appointment had been rescheduled to May 23. ALMOST 1 MONTH FROM TODAY!!. Needless to say I called customer service and they apologized saying that I had no proof I had an appointment today and it was out of his hands. He also told me it is company policy not to work on A/C units in temps under 65 degrees. I asked to talk to a manager and he said we would have to set up a case number and they would call me back in 24-48 hours. UNBELIEVABLE! No customer service at all. Last year I had a dishwasher fixed, it took them 4 trips to get it working, misdiagnosed by 3 separate technicians. At least they gave me 2 months coverage for free for not having a dishwasher for a month.

So frustrating! Pay lots of money for total coverage and reimbursement help on unrepairable appliances. Believed their statement that there is 24/7 service. NOT TRUE! They answer the phone, some are rude, some are nice but in the end you find out that your emergency will have to wait a minimum 3 days and your time has to fit into their schedule. If you need to replace an appliance (in this case leaking water heater), even if you go through Center Point Energy to purchase, you will not be able to use the reimbursement process because you did not have the service tech let them know it was unrepairable. Really? I should have to wait 3 days to have someone justify the flooded basement and tell me the water heater will have to be replaced? Then I will be able to schedule an appointment for the Sales Department to replace it? Not working well for me! I understand being busy but I don't understand not taking of current customers urgent needs in a timely manner. Got a plumber, water heater and installation within 8 hours of my call on a Sunday. The only thing that was not worth the expense is paying for the 24/7 extended, full and replacement coverage to Center Pint Energy. To me 24/7 service means that you can get help today. Liz

I have been paying for Home Service Plus for years. They even replaced my furnace two to three years ago. On Thursday April 6, the furnace was no longer heating my house. Scheduled a technician for this morning, April 7, and they arrived in the scheduled window. My adult son was told the furnace was dirty. Still have no heat in the house. This did not fix the problem. The Technician must have had vacation scheduled starting at noon. Such gross incompetence. Called HSP right away and was told that all technicians have been scheduled for today. This does not fix my heat problem. I will be discontinuing HSP and signing up for another warranty program. Centerpoint doesn't deserve my money anymore. Recommend finding alternative appliance warranty services. I will not use them again.
