We had SG out over a month ago to replace our 20 year old furnace and AC unit. Wanted to wait to submit a review after we got our next heating bill. Before the new unit was installed we were paying $245 a month for heat, after a full month with our new unit our heat bill is only $135 😳 literally pays for itself. They were very professional, completed the removal and install super fast & gave us a free duct cleaning since we just moved in. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone.

John and his son did a wonderful job on our new furnace and AC. His work is very neat he cleaned up all of his mess not only that he put padding down to be careful not to damage the floor. If I could give 10 stars I would! We will be asking him back for a tankless water heating system!
The reality of having to go through the steps to get a new furnace is stressful & can be costly. John responded to my call within less than 24 hours to evaluate our situation and within a weeks time we are now equipped with a brand new furnace! From start to finish, these folks were easy to work with, timely, & more than fairly priced. I am very happy with this company and would recommend them to anyone!

John the owner was very responsive and knoweledgable. Explained the situation and what was wrong with my unit and he knew what was required to fix it. He squeezed me into a busy schedule so I did not have to go long without ac. Great guy with good values and I would recomend his services to anyone in Waterford or surrounding area having HVAC problems. SG made a customer for life with the services they provided to me.
John is absolutely a pleasure to deal with. He keeps his commitments and promises. He told me he would arrive at 9:30am on Monday and he actually did! So refreshing to have a contractor who is a pleasure to work with. Very clean and courteous with great customer service. Great experience all around. I would highly recommend SG!!

AMAZING experience!!! Having to spend money to install a new furnace and air conditioner can be a frustrating and overwhelming situation. Luckily from the first call with John, he put my mind at ease. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided the best value for what we had to replace. A/C never worked correctly from day one. Several attempts to get him to return, unproductive. Cost 1300.00 to repair all the mistakes they made...highly disappointed. Would not recommend...BEWARE
We are very pleased with our new ac system. John was very helpful and knowledgeable from our first point of contact to the completion of installation. He and his assistant had to complete the project on a cool, rainy day. I appreciated that they used drop cloths to reduce tracking into our home. Pricing for our project was very competitive. We will definitely use him for any ac needs in the future.
John gave a price that could not be beat, they also handled all the rebates that were sent to me by DTE and Consumers Powers. Everything I have read about Ruud being good equipment, seems to be true. I received a statement in the mail from DTE, and from May 21st to June 19th 2020 we used 727 kWh, and from May 21st June 21st 2021 (for unknown reason 2021 has 2 more days of service included) we used 561 kWh, which the statement said was a reduction of 22%. I would recommend S & G to anyone.
Amazing customer service and all around great company. AC broke during a really hot week, we got other estimates but we’re told it would take 3 weeks for install. SG came and installed AC on the 4th of July, less than a week after calling them. They were also cheaper than the other estimates we received. Will use them for all of our HVAC issues and will recommend them to everyone we know.
John installed a new A/C unit and a new on demand water heater for me all within a week. What I like best about John is he gives you the price up front with his initial quote(no hidden costs or I had to add this on right at the end) just one price all upfront and his prices better than most. I’ve had John out 5 or 6 times in the 3 years I’ve been in Waterford and I honestly won’t go anywhere else. The work he’s done at my home is top quality and meticulous. I also want to mention when we needed hot water because our tank quit on us and we needed a new one John made it a priority to get us scheduled as quick as he could make it out so we weren’t waiting for hot water. Thanks John and team you have a lifelong customer here.
They were the best price. They used quality products. They were on time. They finished the job in a timely fashion. They cleaned up and took everything with them. They were helpful and courteous. They went above and beyond for me. They are the only company that I will use now. They are the company that I will recommend to everyone I know.
Air conditioning stopped working during the first heatwave of the year (of course). Other companies said we would have to wait 3 weeks for someone to come out. John was able to come out the same weekend and quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. Extremely happy with SG Heating and Cooling and will absolutely be calling them for any future heating/cooling needs.
John and his team are top notch. If you're looking for quality work at an honest price, look no further! I called four different heating and cooling companies to get a quote for a mini split system install. John was prompt to call back, gave me some options to consider and his prices were unbeatable. He was super accommodating with my work schedule and completed the installation on a Saturday. The process was smooth and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I can't thank John and his team enough! Highly recommend!
