I was recommended by a coworker to contact Wiegand Heating & Cooling for replace and install a new AC unit, in my 1100 sq ft ranch in Oak Park. My coworker highly recommended them and stated that they have done work at his home and other members of his family home for several years. According to their website "Since 1982, Wiegand Heating & Cooling has had a solid commitment to servicing the Metro Detroit-area. Our mission is to provide our community with an established and dependable HVAC company—known for its honesty, exceptional service, integrity and complete understanding of each and every one of our customer’s needs." NOT! In addition, he stated that Wiegand had recently installed a New whole house AC unit in another one of our co-workers home in the Boston Edison area in Detroit, as these houses still have radiators for heating. Theresa called me back a stated that they do not work in my area, Oak Park, it was too far away from their office. I guess I am not on the right side of the tracks. Or better yet, one AC unit in OP is not worth their time and energy. She stated that they would not be able to service the AC unit if there was problem and would have to charge me a service call. As I expressed to Theresa, I would hope not to need service on a brand-new AC unit, at least for the next 10 years. At most, an annual service call for general maintenance for cleaning. I wanted to (and like to) patronize local family-owned business, that family and friends have had successful outcomes, and business have good customer service and a good repetition. Unfortunately, this was not a case for me and Wiegand. As a small business owner, you can pick and choose whom you service. However, if I were the a business owner, I would have taken on the new customer business, since this was a referral from a longer time valued current customer.

Stellar service! Every single person I dealt with at this company was top notch, from Kim giving me a quote, to the installers on the day of install. They went out of their way to make sure the process was easy for me. Timely, responsive, accommodating...I could go on and on. Really great service that I would recommend to anyone.

Truly a great company that was recommended from Lennox, had two other companies come by and try to figure out my issues with my AC unit . Kyle took the time to figure it out and did not try to up sell me on un needed equipment ..hard working, customer service A+, detailed commitment for get the job done ..over great experience...will highly recommend them.to all friends..thank you ..

Just had Wiegand heating & cooling install a new furnace. They made the process extremely easy from the consultation to scheduling/billing and the friendly and knowledgeable installers. They went above and beyond for me by installing a 1/2 hp blower motor for free until I was able to get my new furnace installed so we wouldn't be a day without A/C. I quoted 3 other HVAC companies in the area and choose Wiegand because they where honest and fair with their prices. They didn't try the high pressure sales tactic to replace the old system unless its was necessary.
Wiegand Heating & Cooling is a truly family run company. They have been servicing our family for many years and I would refer them to anyone! This year we had an entire new system installed furnace and air, with many add-ons. Their customer service is top of the line and all of their employees are professional and efficient. We are extremely pleased with our investment!

I dont normally write reviews, but wanted to. I've dealt with Wiegand for a number of years for my heating and cooling needs and it has always been a pleasure to do so. The owners, Theresa and Kim, are wonderful people and truly care about their customers. They are honest, neat, organized, and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to their business. They put my furnace in years ago and just recently my air conditioner and I could not be happier with the service and units. The technicians, Kyle and Dean, are awesome. They are always the ones I call for any issues or maintenance that I need. Because I have dealt with them over the years and know the type of people they are and the quality of the work they provide, they are not just my go to company for HVAC, but also my friends. Wiegand Heating & Cooling is a great family run company. Their proffesionalism and service are top notch. They installed a new furnace at my home and also serviced the 2nd furnace. They are very detailed and prompt with their surface. I'm very pleased with the customer service that they provided to me.

Kim Weigand came out and he spent hours repairing my furnace. Needed new gas valve, NG piping, exhaust work (which I already knew). He went to the parts store and back after discovering the blower was shot. He did all this because the furnace “still had life in it.” He could’ve easily made more money by selling me a new furnace, but he didn’t. Furnace now runs smoothly, quietly, and reliably. Lights up every time, first try (problems igniting before). I’m also not worried about a NG gas leak due to the shoddy work from before. Bottom line: honest & knowledgeable HVAC people are hard to come by, but look no further than Weigand Heating & Cooling.
Great service all around. Theresa on the phone was very nice and patient as I’m a new homeowner with a lot of questions. Her husband Kim was very knowledgeable and professional. It felt more like I was dealing with family during this process. Highly recommended very honest and kind people.
