I have been using this company for many years. They are very professional, and respond to emergency repairs quickly. They replace my Air Conditioning unit and also my furnace AC Coil. They call me every spring to come and clean my furnace, and check out its operation, change furnace filter, and humidifier filter. They also inspect and clean the outside AC unit.
They were very efficient in installing my new furnace. They were in and out in 4 hours, and that was with cleaning the work area. They even came out, for a small price, a few days later to haul away some trash I had in the basement. This is the second furnace that they have installed in my home. Great company.
A great team of true professionals from the office to the field to supervision to pricing, I can’t say enough good things about my experience with this company. I paid for two service calls prior to meeting this company. I wish they had been my first! And honestly I felt cared for — they wouldn’t do a short term repair because it would have continued a potentially dangerous situation. This attitude gave me a lot of faith, which turned out to be absolutely justified. You won’t go wrong by using North Wind.
Second time they have replaced a furnace for us. Once at our historic home and today in our condo. About 6/7 years apart… impressive both times. Genuinely concerned that our heating needs were meet within 24 hours. What more could you ask for… also clean as a whistle . Highly recommend them…
So disappointed. I called out to place my order for a new furnace/AC-equipment and the lady (dont know if was Carrie) cut-off my phone call... twice! So terrible. Customer service is really important to us, and if the company does not have it... well, that's an indicator. I'd recommend this as a first option?? No, definitely no. Also, they don't quote professionally, just give you a card with the price and not share any details properly.
Ed is Super knowledgeable, reliable and professional. Installed furnace and a/c at my old house and now a furnace at my new house. Have worked for other family members as well. Would recommend to everyone!
My heat went out on 12-23-22. North Wind was the only company that was able to come out on Christmas Eve day. Ed(owner) was able to diagnose my heating issue and got my heat working temporarily until they were able to come back on 12-26-22 and installed a new heating unit. I would highly recommend Ed and his company; North Wind to solve your heating issues in a very timely and professional manner

Definitely recommend this company. They were so very courteous, knowledgeable, timely and spotless in the area the work was done. Everything was explained to me in a way that a person w/o knowledge of heating and cooling could understand. My furnace died when the extreme cold weather came in and they had my furnace installed and running the next day in the frigid weather.
I had a new furnace and AC unit installed at my house. (My old one was so loud and angry sounding) I had several companies come out to quote the installation. Ed from North Wind immediately struck me as someone who cared about my furnace as much as if it were in his own home. When he was looking at our furnace, he pointed out several things that he wanted to clean up and improve if he did the installation. The price North Wind quoted was the lowest of all of the companies that came to our house. On the day of the installation, Ed and his crew showed up on time, and were very professional. They did an awesome job on the installation, and they took the time to really make it look clean. Then they explained how everything worked and how to fill out the information for rebates and warranty. I highly recommend North Wind if you’re looking for someone to take care of your HVAC needs as if you were family!
Northwind is one of the most honest and kind companies I have ever dealt with. From the initial phone call through the installation of my new furnace, they were timely, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. The owners are incredibly hardworking and truly care about their business and customers. I would recommend them ten times out of ten!
We purchased our 1970s home from the original owner and had no idea what work had been done on the home. Our AC went out 6 months into owning the home. I had a couple quotes come to my home but none of them were as straight forward and honest as Ed. He explained everything that we needed and didn’t need. He answered all of my questions in detail using the actual terminology so I could learn about my HVAC system. He was also extremely knowledgeable about current codes to make sure our home was safe. When I called to schedule, they scheduled the install for the same week. They were timely, worked efficiently, and I had a brand new air conditioner within 4 hours. Prior to the install, I figured out my furnace wasn’t working properly either. Ed and his team figured out it was a broken motor, Ed went and picked up the part, and installed it during the AC installation. It was the best service I have ever had from a company doing home repairs. I highly recommend this company. I will be referring all my friends and family to North Wind.

I called the office on Thursday evening and they had someone to come check it out the following day. Ed confirmed my HVAC was dead. (not surprising as it was 30 years old). Ed explained what he/his team would do for the service, quoted me the cost of the Furnace/Compressor. He also told me things to watch out for when other estimates came in. I was pretty convinced right then that he was the right person. I called and booked w/ him that evening. His guys showed up on time and went straight to work. Ed arrived (as promised) later and jumped right in to work. They even moved my compressor to the side of the house - where it made sense! He charged exactly what he quoted and the area where him and his team worked was SPOTLESS. I was blown away - super clean and it looked great. He went over everything they did and highlighted anything I needed to care for the system (change filter every 3 months) Also - he gave me a heads up that my ventilation ducts were disgusting (my words, he was much more professional) and gave me a referral. I now have a duct cleaning scheduled and a discount for the referral. I have already referred him to a friend of mine with a new house and a water heater issue. Ed has my return business.

Came over to check my unit and didn’t throughly inspect it. Told me that my unit was running fine and that it was old. Recommended a few pounds of R22 to last throughout the summer costing me 485 dollars. I only had air a day and a half. I had my unit replaced by Family heating and cooling by professionals who stated that I needed more work done!!! I don’t recommend this company at all.
North Wind did a full install of heating and cooling system in my home. Our furnace & AC unit were very old. Ed and his team did a phenomenal job. Not only was the pricing very good, but the products used are superior. He and his team were in and out in approx 4 hours. They were professional, clean and took the time to explain everything. After many quotes from commercial companies North Wind far exceeded in both quality, price & trustworthiness. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing new install or repair. We are very pleased.
I have used this company twice. They were able to service my air conditioner the first time, installed a new air conditioner on the 2nd visit. I asked about my furnace and there was no pressure to update. I will continue to use this company. They seem very fair and honest and completed everything in a very timely manner. Thanks North Wind!
