Drivers could care less who else is on the road
This was simply (and still is) a horrendous experience with this company. I do not enjoy giving bad reviews, but this one is necessary. I recently purchased a home that the previous owners used Petro. While we were still doing renovations, and before we had moved in, our thermostat went on the fritz during some very cold months. I called Petro. Not only did they attempt to lock us into a predatory contract - we were told we had to do this before someone could come out and look at our thermostat, but it would be covered under contract. In fear of our pipes freezing with no heat in the house - I bit the bullet because they said they would be there by 5PM same day... they didn't show up until almost 1 AM. I was later told that "anything arising in the first month or so of contract is considered a preexisting condition and not covered" Not only did the technician misdiagnose the issue after 2 minutes (saying it was electrical and he couldn't help), he walked out with my brand new Nest thermostat in his pocket. Feeling jaded with an unprofessional service, I called a competitor the next morning. They were at my house within 30 minutes and fixed it in another 30. That being said, I had to buy a NEW thermostat from them just to get heat in my house. I called Petro to let them know what happened, they apologized and said that due to inconvenience of taking my thermostat, they wouldn't charge for sending the technician out (which is the only cost accrued to date). We were able to annul the contract with them (they have fine print that you can fill out a cancellation form within 1 week of signing contract with no charge). Fast forward to today. I have received dozens of invoices/collections demanding that I pay for services rendered. I call them, explain the situation and said it was supposed to be wiped. I get met with attitude and Petro workers not believing me. I get passed to every department available, and told I will get calls back. Never a call back, no resolutio
PETRO OIL is NOT good! make unrealistic financial changes to Budget Figure/Plan - To many calls - to much mail/paper - to many emails - trying to sell you stuff constantly - do not provide you needed/out of the norm confirmations
Have had this oil company for nearly 30 years. So very pleased with them. NEVER any problems!

Overall unpleasant experience with customer service staff.I would request to be taken off of automatic delivery, Petro would still deliver $800.00 worth of oil and send a bill ,despite me telling them months prior I did not want automatic delivery.When inquiring about it, no manager or supervisor available to speak to .Customer service staff will hang up the phone.Terminated service and switching companies.
They no accommodation of no non-automatic delivery and despite notes made in my account no notification was provided prior to delivery.
Petro Home Services truly provide superb customer service, and the service is phenomenal.

This company loves to price gouge its customers . In the contract it states that my ceiling price 4.59 but the problem is they always charge the ceiling price . Currently prices are about a dollar less but they continue to charge the ceiling price . To top it off they try to trap you into the contract with a 399 cancelation fee if you try to leave . Don’t fall for this scam and avoid this company . You are better off not being in contract so you can at least shop for the best price .
This company has been consistently the best. I have never had any issues when needing to contact them for services. They have always been kind and quick .alot of companies should follow their ways and customer service skills

We have been petro home services for like 5 years or more and are very happy with their propane delivery service. There is nothing to complain really. Great service. Highly recommend

NEW CUSTOMERS: STAY CLEAR OF PETRO AT ALL COSTS. Never in my life have I encountered a more unprofessional business than Petro. It all started with locking into a contract. the vast majority of oil companies have them. The issue was they would "top off" my tanks every 5-7 days... Completely unnecessary behavior, to the point of spilling oil over the top of the filler and into my basement. We called to put them on hold, which they agreed to do as deliveries were too frequent. The NEXT DAY, they top us off again for ~10 gallons of fuel... No one at the service dept had any idea how to control their workers in the field, and for that reason, along with the subpar customer relations, they are the worst heating oil company you could possibly get in a contract with. After numerous frustrating phone calls, we decided to cancel our contract due to their ineptitude, and we are met with ~800 dollar cancellation fee... DO NOT make the same mistake I did, sign up with anyone else if you value your sanity
I love Petro. The people are always so nice. And if there is a problem you come as soon as possible to Fix it
