Bryan treated me like a 2nd class citizen. He Was more concerned with WHO the other companies that were giving me estimates. He was rude and condescending when he pointed out that I didn't know HVAC so he didn't want to explain the process. Had no customer service etiquet. As I welcomed him into my Home, he was cussing which showed a lack of respect for me like he didn't want to be there. Very unprofessional. He made me feel uncomfortable and I had to kick him out of my house. I went with the company called Climate Design System for my HVAC business. THEY offer a better warranty service anyways.
We shopped around before settling with affordable heat & air. Bryan definitely won us over , he was honest answered all our questions and didn't pressure us one bit. He even helped with the mass save process. Bryan & Jimmy did an amazing job converting our oil tank to propane in the midst of a couple snow storms. They were quick , efficient and kind. They cleaned up after themselves which was nice. They communicated with us every step of the way and we're ever available to answer our questions on the weekends when they were off. Jimmy actually came out on a weekend and brought us portable heaters when we ran out of oil in the middle of the project which was above and beyond. The overall experience was above and beyond.We had we had full trust in them.They even added a new water filter which was a nice surprise:) overall experience was efficient , reliable, and affordable. Would definitely recommend & use for future jobs .
Called Friday afternoon and they had a tech out at 9am Saturday in July for a/c repair. Tech and owner were helpful, direct, and solved the issue quickly. Will definitely contact them again in the future.
This is a review that has been a year in the making and in my eyes is long overdue. The reason its taking so long is because I had completely upgraded all the mechanicals in my home and I wanted to use everything and see how it all worked before I gave my review. I purchased my house on May 28th 2021 and we knew the work that needed to be done, we just didn’t know just how bad it really was. It all started when we called MassSaves to get an energy efficiency report and all the freebees that came with it. Well, was I ever surprised when I heard just how bad it was. First let me say thank you to Brian and his team Very professional and great guys that did amazing work. We came in under budget, and I say that because there were little extras that Brian didn’t charge us for. Brian could’ve started work as early as the first week of June but asked if the work can be postponed until after the hot season because we did have working AC and many people didn’t. If he had started the work at my house it would delay the work to those homes that didn’t have AC and I thought this was great idea. Brian assured me that if anything happened and we lost hot water or AC they had a plan in place should that happen. The true hero in all this making sure everything was done correctly on time and on budget, was Jim! I can’t thank him enough for all the hard work he put in, coming on a holiday because we thought we didn’t have hot water, we had turned off the return valve and forgot to turn it back on. Great quality of work, and they made sure they used only the best equipment. We are also using affordable Heat & Air to service all the equipment. Because we had purchased so much equipment we had quite a few rebates that needed to be submitted it was so easy, in fact we didn’t need to do anything, Brian took care of all that and got us back some big coin. I recommend Affordable heat & Air to everyone, It would be a mistake to use anyone else, it’s your biggest investment and you should have
AHA installed a new Hydro air system + new duct work and did a fantastic job! I applied for the heat loan through Mass Saves right when the program was implementing some major changes and Bryan helped make sure I was in the loop. He explained everything each step of the way, he was straightforward and honest. Great quality, workmanship and people. I would recommend AHA for anyone looking to get a new system installed.
Bryan TWICE canceled on me last minute! and not even a reasonable excuse. Very unprofessional. If you want to waste your time waiting for him, go ahead but my time is more precious and there are lots of other more professional plumbers out there. I mentioned to him that I am going to indicate this in my review and here is what he wrote to me (see attached from sms)
This company just saved Christmas for me! We haven’t had heat and I was quoted 7 times the cost by another company for unnecessary work. Affordable Heat picked up the phone and got someone to my house within the hour, I have a working furnace and money in my pocket! Highly recommend!
Brian and Jimmy did an amazing job on my house. They replaced the oil heater with a natural gas heater and the job they did was nothing short of stellar. The way they laid the pipes is a work of art, and the heater work perfectly. I highly recommend them.
Bryan assisted with a Mass Saves install in coordinating and paperwork. Jimmy and Gary though were really the stars behind the install. Overall pleased and would recommend.
Bryan and his staff are some of the best in the business. Very professional, and Bryan clearly cares a great deal for his business. I met Bryan by chance. His company was working on a neighbor's AC system. One of my units went out two days prior. I had called another place I had used in the past, but they didn't get back to me. After seeing Bryan's company working next door, I called the number on the truck. He returned my call within 30 min and said he would stop over when he was done. He came by and had my AC up and running quickly on the same day I called. His price was VERY reasonable. Overall, I was impressed with the way Bryan ran his operation. I will certainly be calling them in the future with any of my HVAC needs. I highly recommend Affordable Heat & Air. Thank you!
Bryan gave me a quote that was less than the others I received for a new HVAC system. He quoted me for the same brand system others quoted so I could compare 'apples to apples. Bryan was accommodating in answering any questions I had with the process and seemed honest in his answers. He and his crew showed up on time at my home in Chelmsford and got to work right away. They were very respectful and got the work done efficiently, and left my basement cleaner than when they came. I would highly recommend Affordable Heat & Air.
These guys are the best in the business They installed a ductless ac system at my house and the job was done with such professionalism and quality. I’ve seen other installs and they don’t compare to the work that they did, design and function. Super super people.
Bryan and his team did an exceptional job installing a new Combi for my homes hot water and space heating. When Bryan stopped by to discuss the contract work for the first time, he was prompt and did a great job explaining all the stages to complete the install. The whole process was great and will definitely use them again in the future. His team was prompt when showing up each day, polite, patient when explaining details to someone going through this install for the first time, and kept the work tidy. I truly appreciate them taking a little bit of extra time to organize all wires and piping to create a clean look. Lastly, the boiler is running great and I'm looking forward to saving some money each year in heating expenses. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
We've used Affordable Heat & Air for two large jobs (oil to gas conversion and new A/C) and Brian was always realistic with timing and was quick at scheduling. His guys are the best - respectful, professional and there on time. With these two very large and important jobs, it was great to have someone we could count on, not to mention the work itself was top notch! As a side note, we did the A/C job during COVID and everyone that stepped in our house was wearing a mask and very respectful of distancing, etc. We really appreciated that and felt very safe!
I converted my home from oil to natural gas this year and Bryan, Jimmy and Mike installed a new heating, hot water and cooling system. These guys did a fantastic job. There were a few hiccups with National Grid installing the meter and the meter bar at my house, and the guys at Affordable Heat and Air turned on a dime to get my system up and running once Natl Grid finally got the gas meter in. My dad initially recommended this company to me since he liked the job they did for him as well. I couldn't be happier with my new system
There is never a good time for a repair, but Affordable Heat & Air makes the experience as good as it can be. They are responsive, efficient, and fair. From the installation 10 years ago to service calls, their work is exemplary, clean, and organized. Highly recommend them.
Bryan and his team did a terrific job with our furnace, air conditioner, and mini-split installation job. He was highly knowledgeable and willing to both explain his reasoning and take in our input on how we wanted the job completed. His team was efficient, courteous, and had terrific customer service/follow-through. Update: Our house has two heating systems and the decrepit water boiler just died last week on us. Bryan had his crew out that morning to assess the situation and determined the boiler was kaput. He offered a number of scenarios (fix/replace/upgrade) and we chose to upgrade to a more efficient boiler/on-demand water heater unit. Within a week, the job was done and it all looks fantastic-- they have an incredible attention to detail and set up piping/wiring/valves to make sure any future repair or maintenance work goes quickly and smoothly.
