On demand water heater installed and maintained, starting many years ago. Service has been excellent, issues resolved, yearly maintenance is fairly priced. Just spoke to receptionist Regina, excellent-professional contact and offered visit the following day. McDonald people are a God sent, I'm glad I found them!
I’m a deaf working professional who needed my gas furnace and AC coil replaced. I reached out to McDonalds heating and cooling. They sent out a guy named Chris C to do an estimate. He told me that they could install a high efficiency gas furnace and a return intake duct. Chris advised me to apply for a mass save HEAT loan. Which was a tedious process including getting HOA approval and a bank to do the loan. Then they let me know the project manager Barry had to come and look at the job. I explained that I had a very important meeting to attend and I would be using PTO from work to make the appointment happen. They promised me they would be on time and it would work out fine. I took three hours off from work only to find out Barry was an hour late and didn’t respond to my texts asking where he was. Then when Barry showed up his guys told me they didn’t need me to be present. So I wasted three hours of valuable PTO time for nothing. My PTO is earned not given to me. Lastly, they said they couldn’t do the install and I have to do a lesser model and financing would cost me $9,000 dollars more than the original proposal. This was AFTER they said they could do it. They jerked me around with empty promises and tried to get me to do a more expensive package. They are unprofessional, dishonest and completely wasted my time and money. I would stay away from them and use another company instead. This is my first review ever because their services were so inappropriate and I don’t want anyone else to experience what I did.
I called because our carbon monoxide alarm went off on the stairs to the basement. Called McDonald's and they came within the hour. Alan was very professional with a positive attitude and went thru the boiler and found broken electrodes at the nozzle. He replaced the broken electrodes, the nozzle, and checked everything else, and finished up in 90 minutes. We're very grateful that McDonalds could fix the problem promptly for a reasonable price.
Nathan is the absolute best…I called at 6:30 on a Saturday night…my tenants had no heat…the gas furnace wasn’t working. Nathan was there within an a hour…and had the heat back on within minutes!!! Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be my first call the next time!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Very professional and extremely knowledgeable service representatives. In addition the office professionals are very polite and accommodating.
McDonald's employees were completely professional efficient on time and cleaned up after themselves. They installed are diken Mini splits that are working perfectly. The installation was in December It's warmer now than it was before we have the Mini splits. They were here only 2 days and everything everything is complete. I can't say enough good things about them. If you are looking for someone to install Mini splits McDonald HVA saying is the team to go with.
The best company so far! their Staffs are professionals, and respectful. Give the company a trial, you won't regret dealing with them.
Chris and the McDonald HVAC team are a great company. When most companies come out with a quote that is "COVID-gouging crazy", just because they can, McDonald got us a reasonable quote for a great system, professional installers and great work - and the price didn't change! We are very happy with this system. As an example "why" - by this time last year, we would have filled our heating oil a second time (almost $1,400), but we have not even had to turn on the oil system - saving almost $700 by the second month - and have only used 1/4 of the tank. We were filling once every 3 weeks or so last year at this time and all winter. We expect to have to turn on the oil heat at some point, but this is an excellent start - the spring should be just as good. We appreciate McDonald HVAC for being available, having a professional team in these poor-quality times, and for ensuring we got the right system.
The rickety old furnace has seen better days but Louie got it set for another year.
Very Happy with Mcdonald. Allen was very knowledgeable, professional and got my oil burner ready for the season. Thank you.
The tech, BJ, was on time, respectful, pleasant, and paid close attention to details. He shared tips to guide my AC/heating maintenance, which was very encouraging. I will be requesting him for all of my future maintenance service calls. Thank you!
We have a 'finicky' heating system which requires antifreeze to be in the system and effective to a 'lower' than standard degree. McDonald's knows this. YET for the last 2 years, despite my calling the day before the cleaning service to remind them about the antifreeze service, the tech shows up without the materials (or time in schedule) to do the job. Why am I SO ANGRY? Because this means I have to take MORE time off work to get this done, when it could have been done all in the same appointment. (They have done it before.) WHAT IS WRONG with a company that cannot respond to s customer's request THE DAY BEFORE? WHY do I stay with them? Because they do a good job cleaning my Buderus system. (Hard to find techs to service this system..) YET I have had to call them in mid winter because our PIPES FROZE because the antifreeze didn't register LOW enough. WHAT DOES IT TAKE to get GOOD SERVICE??????!!!!!
The compressor for my air conditioner failed at closing time and the temperature in my house was 93 degrees. McDonald's sent a technician, despite the late hour, so my family would not have to spend the night in a very hot and humid house. Alan, the technician, arrived in twenty minutes and did a great job to fix the compressor. Many thanks to McDonald'[s and Alan for their great service and kindness. Alan
I purchased 2 Mitsubishi Heating/Cooling split units 2 years ago and selected McDonald to install them due to their superior price/warranty over the competitors I researched. They were professional and on time. After 2 years, the units were not working efficiently, and the McDonald team, specifically PJ, worked quickly to diagnose the issue. Additionally, they worked to educate us on what to expect for regular maintenance as well as enhanced maintenance every few years. McDonald's team is responsive to customer issues and knowledgeable in required repairs and maintenance.
Do not trust or use Mac Donald's as they have incompetent technicians that are trying to sell you expensive repairs that are not needed!!!!!!!!! Had a problem with a/c not cooling. Called on 5/31/22 technician said he could not service it was an electrical problem. Called electrician he said nothing electrically wrong. Called Mac Donald's to come back, after a short period of time he said it needed a new compressor for $6,402. I was suspicious and called Electrical Construction & Contracting to take a look. The technician spent an hour and determined it needed a Fan Motor not a compressor for $2,538. He installed the following day and it works fine. Attached are the 2 estimates that I received from each company.
I had a mini split system installed last year, end of summer. Had water damage this year. Had a tech come out to diagnose the issue. Unfortunately it was raining and impossible to diagnose the issue of where the water on the entire run of refrigerant line was coming from. He did discover the installers mixed up two units. So I had an undersized unit in a large room and an oversized unit in a small room. Causing issues. A month later two techs came out to fix the problems. They discovered the lines weren't properly charged, and one of my drain lines wasn't opened on install. So the drain line filled up then ran down the lines into my basement. I'm glad I didn't have it installed in my attic. Also I found on install they didn't seal the holes going through the house to the outside. Horrible install team. I'm keeping my fingers crossed there are no more issues. More issues. I've had another company come out and service my units this year. They pointed out that the condenser is leaning considerably due to not putting adequate rocks down. This is making the unit noisy. I'm on the fence whether or not I want Mcdonald to fix it.
These folks fit me into their schedule on an emergency basis for A/C repairs. I'm impressed with their team, from making the appointment to the actual servicing - very understanding, very thorough. I trust to call them again if needed in the future. Thank you!
We were quite satisfied with the serviceman and the result of referring an Electrical Service Company to repair our unit with a replace defective ac condenser. The McDonald's gentleman was efficient and responsive to our concerns and gave a synopsis of our entire system. Being a former Business owner and knowing some History of the McDonald Plumbing ,we expected a satisfactory response and was quite please on the two gentleman involved, both the Plumbing Co. and the Electrical service Co. We notice in the Service Towns listed our Town of Sturbridge was not listed, hope that the Company adds Sturbridge to this list
I had system that needed replacement. They were prompt and professional. Mike H and Ruben arrived and had the system installed with no problems. They were great!!! Both of these men were pleasant and professional, and I would recommend them both along with this company
From the get-go, Chris was very prompt and helpful with our questions about installing mini-split heat pumps in our home. He was able to offer different quotes and options so we could compare. The McDonald installation team was able to get up and running only a few days after we signed the paperwork, which was very important to us in the cold weather- as we didn't want to go without heat for too long. In fact, the transition between our heating systems was so quick we were never cold.
