The technicians arrived promptly and was very courteous and professional. They were efficient and kept me updated on the install process over the 3-day install.
The service guy did a very thorough cleaning of our unit. He also answered our questions and helped us understand how to more efficiently use our unit.
Excellent install: I decided to have a mini-split system put in the house and as a test did half the house at a time. Elmar was selected to do the install, their quote was reasonably priced and include all the components needed to make a 3 zone mini-split system happen. Install went in without issues, and so far the system is *incredible*. It's an LG system, kept the house warm during the very cool spring months and has been outstanding as an AC system in the summer. I'll have them do the other half of the house early next year and have been very pleased with the quality of install!
Elmar technicians installed a heat pump for us. Friendly, considerate technicians know their trade.They diagnosed and fixed unanticipated problems. They are honest. Their service is great, and their prices are fair. Recommend Elmar without reservation.
I love these guys, my only complaint is how much they charge for service. To get my systems cleaned annually, it costs over $400.
Elmar quoted a fair price for installing Mitsubishi mini splits in our 1908 brick home. Joe and Juan did an excellent job. They really know what they are doing. If you are thinking of going with mini splits, give Elmar a call. You will be glad you did.
Will Conklin from Elmar was fantastic. He arrived 2.5 hours after I first called Elmer. They quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. They also took the time to explain the repair. The pricing was reasonable.
Elmar heating and cooling was the only company that answered the phone in person w/o a recorded message. I really appreciated the ability to talk to someone. They addressed my concerns and made appointment to come out to inspect my water heater . The technician was right on time so friendly an professional. He was able to address all my concerns. I will definitely recommend Elmar heating and cooling.

I wrote a review about elmar a while back but just used them again. This company is by far the best HVAC company in MD.
Worked with Will on maintenance for our ductless system. Was able to identify the issue and quickly resolve.
They addressed original need to ID what was wrong with my A/C unit. They did a thorough evaluation and easily determined the problem. Then provided me with timely quotes for a new system but selected a different contractor for the work. Selection of contractor was no reflection on the quality of their work and I would use the again in the future if needed.
What I liked about Elmar first is that there wasn’t a sales pitch. Brian came over, did some measurements, gave some recommendations and then followed up with multiple quotes to choose from. (Elmar’s quotes beat out the other guys, fyi.) Brian was also very responsive to email which was helpful because I did have a few questions before selecting a quote and after installation. We ended up going with Hitachi ductless mini split units. We liked them for the built in Wi-Fi and the slightly lower cost than the Mitsubishi. Onto the install. We were scheduled for the following week after signing the quote. But oops on us — we were having windows and doors installed by another company and they wanted to come the same week that Elmar was scheduled. I reached out to Brian and Elmar was able to reschedule for the following week, thank goodness, so I appreciated their flexibility. Now onto the actual install. Joe and another guy came out on a Tuesday to start the install. We didn’t know exactly what needed to happen, but they were great at letting us know what they would be doing each day. I can’t speak to the intricacies of their work specifically since it’s not my expertise, but my husband really liked the ductwork they installed outside the house, so that counts for a lot in my book because he would definitely say something if it didn’t seem right. Also high marks for Joe and the second guy (i really wish I remembered his name. Sorry!) because they were super friendly to me and my dog hanging around the house while they were here. The units have only been installed a couple of weeks but so far, so good. They run quiet and put out a lot of cool air. I’m excited to have real a/c for the summer and to be able to control them while we’re away, through the Wi-Fi app.
The technician who performed the annual cleaning and maintenance on our air conditioning system was friendly, responsive, on-time and respectful of our property. All work was was performed in an efficient and timely manner.

Elmar came out to my recently purchased home and didn't try to upsell me on anything, gave me honest advice on the expected lifetime of my existing HVAC systems, and even provided some advice on how to better wire my thermostats. Thanks for great service!

I have had nothing but a positive experience from this company! Mr Buddy was professional and answered all my questions! Mr Morgan arrived on time and he was excellent! He was professional and did a fantastic job explaining the issue with my air conditioner! I'm happy my issue was resolved and in a timely manner! Great choice for my emergency!!!! Today, I had my yearly service completed! It was overdue. Not their fault, mine. This company continues to be on time, professional and complete. I appreciate the explanations of anything that may have need attention. They have my vote of confidence!
