CAS is a first class operation. Over the years they have unequivocally earned our trust. Have always taken care of our HVAC needs and we have never felt like they were trying to “pad” the bill. It's been about a month and no more issues; although there was no doubt. Michelle and Rick were like talking to friends and they explained everything in a way I could understand. Michelle did a great job at calling me to check in and schedule needed appointments. You won't disappointed when choosing Contemporary Air Systems!
Once again, Contemporary Air hits it out of the park. They are pros. On time, professional, honest and fair. First - they got ~6 more years out of my 2 HVAC units when another vendor said I needed to replace them. When it was finally time to replace the units, CA was honest, fair and got the job done. Great company.
First off I don’t usually post reviews but this company deserves one . I inquired about a new heat pump unit and after calling around getting quotes from other local companies who wanted thousands more and made some pretty ridiculous claims I ended up choosing contemporary air Systems . Very happy with the new Rudd system .

Thank you Michelle Fravel for your response, I have updated the pricing throughout my review. You are correct, I was informed of the diagnosis fee prior to Justin's arrival. I never stated that I was not made aware of this, I was just merely stating that good customer service would be to apply this to the repair. One saying that I cannot stand is that our pricing is based on the industry standard. My rent increased by 15% over the past 18 months, I never received anything additional for that increase. Just because something is the standard, does not mean that it is morally right to do. I have no issue paying a higher amount for quality service, but how do you justify charging $124 for 3" of wire and 3 minutes of his time? How do you justify charging 4-5 times the amount that you paid for a supply? I would also not consider a wire to be a specialty tool or part. I appreciate the work that Justin did. I have no issue with that whatsoever. He did a great job! In terms of the replacement, just because the unit is 20 years old does not mean that it needs to be replaced. Unless there is something significantly wrong that is not repairable, why would you suggest a replacement??? Anyways, thanks for your service. If you ever decide to place your customers before your bank account, I would be more than interested in hiring you in the future. _______________________________________________________________ I called them because my outside condenser’s fan wasn’t moving even though the unit was running. They came out the next morning. I received a courtesy call from the technician prior to arrival. The technician seemed to be knowledgeable and personable. He quickly diagnosed the issue, which was a 3 inch wire going from the capacitor to the contactor. It took him about three minutes to replace. He checked the interior unit and then checked the pressures. He informed me that I was about 2lbs short on coolant. He also gave me some information about the filter. In total
A huge thank you to Rick, Michelle and Justin. Our 20 year old HVAC system died during a typical Baltimore July heat wave. Michelle was able to schedule Rick for an estimate the same day I called. He did a thorough analysis of the situation, provided options and worked up a very good estimate. He and Justin were able fix some issues from my old install, install the new system and thermostat a day later, and were a pleasure to talk to. They explained everything thoroughly, and Michelle even visited to take some pics. I am one of those hard heads who hates calling for service, but Michelle, Rick and Justin put me at ease and made me feel comfortable knowing that I had professionals who knew what they were doing installing our system. I would highly recommend the Contemporary Team! They saved the day! Scott H
Rick is awesome. He told us what we needed and we agree. We moved into this house in 2019 and right away we called them. I did a lot of research and read the reviews and we liked what we read about Contemporary Air Systems. We tell everyone about them if they ask.
They were amazing. I couldn't say a negative thing about them if I tried. They were efficient, friendly, professional and didn't try to nickel and dime me. I'd recommend them to anyone and everyone.
My husband and I are relatively new homeowners and found contemporary air systems through their google reviews. Best decision we have made to sign up to be a yearly member. All of the employees are prompt and professional and they have been wonderful for twice yearly maintenance on our systems. Recently one unit stopped working and they found it before summer and were able to get a new unit in within a few days! Justin is great!
Most excellent! Professional quality work on a very difficult job at my house. An old 1974 furnace had to come out and a beautiful new system went in in one day! The owners are fantastic, extremely responsive and friendly. They did my sons furnace too. Perfect company I can say enough good about them. 100%
When I needed my HVAC system repaired, Contemporary Air Systems promptly scheduled an appointment with me for same-day service, investigated the issue, and corrected the problem in a timely manner. Great value for their service!
Our HVAC unit has not kept our house as warm as expected for a little while, even though it was running all the time. On a Saturday morning, I called Contemporary Air Systems and explained what was going on. They had someone out first thing Monday morning and ran a diagnostic on my system to find out that it was entirely out of refrigerant and probably had been for a while; also that my system had parts that were almost 20 years old. By lunchtime Monday, the owner was at my house to give me a complete workup estimate; he was very patient, personable, and knowledgeable. Answering all of our inexperienced questions and helping us understand the situation and how to solve it. We gave the green light Monday afternoon, and the owner is back out to replace our system and some custom ductwork first thing Wednesday morning. The system was installed, and the temperature was at its desired level before my wife came home from work on Wednesday. In short, Contemporary Air Systems was fast, kind, and knowledgeable. A very smooth experience that has directly impacted the comfort of my family when we are at home.
Five Stars is not enough to rate the "Awesome" Job Contemporary Air System Co. has done. Rick and everyone at Contemporary were fantastic. I would refer anyone I know to them. They were incredibly responsive and the prices were fair. Best experience I've had bar-none
Very knowledgeable, provided lots of good information for selecting a replacement heat pump. Great communication, always on time. Installation was very nice, neat and tidy. Did everything properly, did not cut any corners!
I highly recommend Contemporary Air to anyone looking to replace their a/c and or heating. I just got my heating and a/c replaced by them and it couldn’t have gone any better. They provided great customer service, were extremely efficient, and the best price.
Completed replacement of both upper and lower HVAC systems. Rick had to clean up and rebuild prior poor installation from 12 plus years ago. Both units function perfectly now and it was completed while my wife and I were home working. We also have two Great Danes so that's not an easy task. I would highly recommend CAS as they will tell you what is needed and charge a fair price for a top notch work. Very happy with our HVAC system now and I wish we had done it years ago, but Rick was able to keep them going till we could afford to replace.
We recently had a new heat pump installed to replace the unit in our attic. Not an easy job! We called on a Monday and by the following Tuesday the job was complete. Rick and Justin were very friendly and professional throughout the process. They discussed our options without any pressure, so we could make an informed decision. I will definitely call them again.
