Highly exceeded my expectations. The technicians showed up on time, answered all my questions. They had the old units out of the way and new units installed in a matter of hours. Probably one the most professional and courteous group of technicians i have ever dealt with. When they were done they cleaned everything up and even let the dog help. Will use them from now on if i ever have an issue in the future and will recommend to all my friends.

This company replaced our whole HVAC system AC/ Heat, thermostat and replaced some ducts..I would recommend them to anyone I know the team was professional, courteous and promt.The owner of this Company has very high moral values Rita
The technician were on time and very careful taking out the old Air Conditioner. They answered all my questions . They cleaned up all the old equipment. I would recommend them to anyone.
Birkhead installed my Trane energy-efficient HVAC system in 2003. It has worked great with only very minor issues for 18 years now. But, bad news, heat exchanger failed. Apparently heat exchangers are the heart of a furnace and cost well over $1000, part alone. Good news: Trane 20-year warranty meant the exchanger was free to me and I would not even have guessed it was under warranty after so long. The service tech, Larry, was truly exceptional. He was timely, polite, helpful, and completed the work in short order when he returned just two days after his initial diagnosis with the part. He even showed me where the original part had failed which he described as just normal use and age issue. Let me tell you, Larry basically had to take the furnace completely apart to replace this large key central component. Being retired, I was a 'sidewalk supervisor' at a respectful distance and was just incredibly impressed with this man's encyclopedic knowledge of my system. And wrestling that heat exchanger out of the tight fit in the furnace was a Herculean task! The price was reasonable too, labor only for the afternoon. Also, Larry turned out to be a 23-year veteran employee of Birkhead, which certainly speaks well for the company. And, for the record, I am not related in any way to this company. For over 2-months Birkhead continuously told us that they were 2-weeks out from being able to do our work. This came from both the owners and the sales rep on our project. We were finally given a start date ONLY for them to no-call, no-show. When we tried calling the sales rep the day of the project, we realized that he had blocked our number. When we got ahold of him through corporate - we asked when they were coming out and what was going on… They then told us they no longer had time for our project… This after over TWO months of telling us we were top of their waiting list! After being led on for over two months and then out of nowhere being told that our business isn’t wanted, I have never had such bad experience with any other company.

I had 3 different companies come out and nobody could figure out what was wrong with my system, they just kept trying to sell me a new unit. I called Birkhead and they came out and checked it out. Brian was able to get it figured out and fixed within an hour. Sam was also extremely helpful over the phone. I highly recommend this company! They are nice, professional, and know what they are doing.
I made an appointment (specific date and time) for an at-home quote of a replacement system. The rep was a no call, no show for the appointment. More than 24 hours went by and I never heard from this company. I will not be using Birkhead Co.

The people plus the owner is nothing but awsome they ar on point and very ocd on their work, I truly recommend burkhead heating and cooling to anyone, they will definitely go out of their way to get the job done right, I wont go anywhere else

I bought a home in Mt Washington in August 2019. As part of our agreement, the seller had the furnace and A/C cleaned and checked. She chose Birkhead and provided me with a receipt. The receipt read that the system was checked and cleaned, including the filter and found to be in good working order. The bill was for $89. About 3 or 4 days after moving in, I went to the basement to check the size on the furnace filter because I was making a run to the hardware store and wanted to stock up. The filter was so dirty it literally fell apart as I was pulling it out. It weighed about 5 lbs from the 3 inches of dust and debris and appeared cone shaped and to be sucked in in the middle. It almost felt wet. On the side of the filter, handwritten was 2/8/2017. I called Birkhead and told them of my findings and that I didn't think the system had been cleaned or even checked. The lady on the phone argued with me and said she believed her tech. She kept saying that they didn’t change the filters because they couldn’t carry all sizes. I told her I understand that but, “why did the tech write on the receipt that the filter was checked and no other notes in regards to it’s condition?” I asked her to have someone come back out and she refused. When I told her I would never do business with her company again, she began bad mouthing other local HVAC companies. A month later, I had a friend check the furnace and he said it was filthy. I called DFH and they came out last week. Their tech spent 40 minutes cleaning the system and he too said it was very dirty and appeared to have not been cleaned in years. Hire Birkhead at your own risk. I wonder how many others they have done this to??
Cannot says anything bad about my experience with Birkhead Co. Everyone has horror stories to tell about HVAC technicians, electricians and plumbers. But my experience with Birkhead can be best described as excellent!!! These people will always be the first on my call list. Fast, Friendly, Competent, Trustworthy and very reasonably priced. Could not ask for more. Thanks Birkhead.
The Tec did not even go upstairs to see the unit and tried to sell me a new AC system. Called someone else the next day who recharged the coolant and fixed it completely.

Kenny is the best. Not only is he extremely personable, but also, my dog loves him. He knows a thing or two about air conditioners as well. My AC went down in the middle of the summer, and he came over, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it. Air is now working great.
