We had our parents home A/C system went out on Friday before Memorial Day weekend and filed a claim with our Home Warranty company. R&D got the order. Received a call from Randy on Monday(holiday) for appointment for Tuesday, arrived on time, diagnosed the motor, explained that he’d have to order parts and as soon as they came in he’d be back. It was back up and running on Thursday morning as expected! Cannot say enough about this Contractor, the expeditious manner in which this repair was made! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS FOR YOUR A/C needs
Jacob, the technician was awesome and fixed my a/c unit quickly. He was very knowledgeable and professional as well as the lady who scheduled the appointment. I highly recommend this company.
Jacob was just her to do the preventive maintenance for the winter. His customer service is above and beyond what I expected - he is awesome!!!!
Our HVAC stopped working during the last snow, and they came quickly and had it fixed in just a few minutes. Only charged a service call. Highly recommend! Edited to add. 6/2/2022 Our air conditioner stopped working, so we decided to replace the whole system. R&D did a great job! Friendly workmen and they had me cooled down in just a few hours. We've used this company for years and I always trust that they are honest in what we need to do.

My HVAC caught fire one night. I filed a claim the next morning through my FAHW. R&D called me within 30 minutes to set up an appointment to come and inspect the unit. The technician was on time and so courteous. He explained the damage to me as well as how the process would work. They got my claim approved in less than a day. New unit arrived at my house 3 days later and was installed. Again, great, friendly people. Had to order a few extra parts for the control panel but again, they were helpful and informative. I never had to call anyone or do anything. They took care of all of it. They finished up while I was away on vacation and notified me every step of the way what was going on. My new unit is incredible! So quiet and works great! Can't say enough about this team and will definitely use them again! They are my go to team for HVAC!
Great to work with! Furnace stopped working early this morning, I had to make a claim through my home warranty and they got them out here in less than 6 hrs. They were earlier than their suggested time frame and fixed our issues very quickly. Highly recommend!
R & D was contracted through my home warranty. You always hear horror stories about home warranties and coverage, but I didn't have any issues. Randy came out, diagnosed the problem and assured me it was covered. My heat went out during the ice/snow storm and he was able to make it out there the next day. He diagnosed the problem, was able to reprogram my thermostat to allow for emergency heat, and ordered the new part that day. I had to wait a few days for the part to come in, but Randy called as soon as he got it and came and installed it ASAP. All was covered under my home warranty. He was fast, polite, and did a good job. Definitely recommend them :)
R and D has replaced two HVAC systems at our house. They are prompt, responsive and detailed. I couldn’t be happier with the job that they did.
Randy and his team installed a new gas furnace for us and I can't say enough about about how great this company is. The unit was installed on Friday and over the weekend it started making a knocking noise. I called Sunday morning and Randy came out within an hour to diagnose and fix the issue. Great customer service and quality work. I would highly recommend to anyone needing hvac service.
Awesome company. R&D advocated for my family and I with the home warranty company to make sure we received the proper equipment needed given the dimensions of my home. This was crucial as my old unit had gone bad making me run on emergency heat at extremely high costs to our family. Despite the wrong equipment being ordered by the home warranty company, R&D stayed on them and ensured that the proper Lennox system was finally ordered. During installation the crew was prompt, professional, personable, and cleaned as they worked. My home is now noticeable warmer and I look forward to lower energy costs. My warranty company at first called a different service to service my furnace and when it was determined it needed to be replaced it was 2 weeks before that company informed me they didn't have a contractor to perform the work. Then R & D was given the job. Quick response to my concerns. The crew spent almost 12 hours on a very difficult furnace replacement and did an excellent job. The old furnace was about 25 years old and in a very challenging spot to be installed but the guys went above and beyond to get the job done and followed up the next morning to make sure everything was in working condition. If and when I need more HVAC I will make sure the warranty company calls R & D and no one else!
Excellent work, technician did a great good diagnosing the problem and establishing a plan to get my unit up an running. Would recommend this professional.
I was referred by a friend to get a quote. Allen came out on time and did an inspection on my needs. He called back later with some estimates and came by later in the week with three options. He went over each one in detail and answered my multiple questions. When he quoted me the price and I agreed to it, he came back out for final measurements. He said that there would need to be two more runs added under windows to make sure it was up to code. He had not quoted that in the original price and said there would be no extra charge for the two additional runs. That's high class and good business practices to stick to an agreed upon price even though more would be needed to ensure it was up to code. The day of the install, they were right on time. They got right to work to remove the old system and work on the new one. They cleaned up any mess they made for the install and wore boot covers when they came in the house. They were professional and polite to my wife and myself the entire time and made sure to give us updates. The second day, they were on time again and stay late in the day until it was done. Randy, the owner, came in and explained the new thermostat and made sure all of our questions were answered. He made sure to let me know that they would be back when it was time to switch to heat to make sure it went smoothly. Top Notch all the way around and I would recommend them to anyone who asked.
R&D installed a new HVAC system for me. The entire process went very well. Allen went over my needs and examined the existing system. He discussed the options in detail with me and then provided six specific proposals. The installation of the new system took most of one day. Everything was prompt and on time. The Lennox system itself is excellent. The installation was excellent, and Randy and the crew made a very neat and clean job of it. They also cleaned up very well afterward. The LFUCG inspector, who came a few days after the inspection, remarked that the installation of the system was all correct and a very clean job. The entire experience was excellent.
I have a home warranty and R&D was sent by them to repair my A/C and just recently my heat. Allen who I first spoke with was very polite and very understanding and was able to schedule my appointment within a few days when the A/c went and again was quick to get us scheduled for the heat as well. The technician who came out Adam was right on time both visits, very knowledgeable and polite, both of my dogs liked him too! (They are Leary of strangers) He Worked quickly and thoroughly checked our unit both times he was here. Keep in mind with the warranty SVC he could only inspect what was reports broken. Both times I was very satisfied with the service I received from R&D and will continue to work with this service provider for many years! A+ company in my book!
I recently had a HVAC system installed by R&D. Allen and Randy were helpful in the planning and installation. The system is working great. I would strongly recommend R&D Indoor Comfort.
Before meeting with R & D, I had met with 3 of the larger HVAC companies in Lexington. They were all pushy sales people who were ready to sell me an HVAC unit and move on. Then I met Allen at R & D, he was so different. He took the time to really explain things and he explained the layout of my attic and the install process. Allen explained that my 19 year old unit was smaller than the units made today which are larger in size. And my 19 year old home with this original unit presented a slight challenge. As typical for many homes still with its original HVAC unit, the home was partially built and the HVAC unit was installed during construction and the home was built around the unit. In order for the types of units the other companies had quoted, and based on all of Allen’s measurements those units would not fit through the access point to the attic unless some of the trusses were cut. Obviously, I didn’t want that to happen and neither did Allen. But Allen explained the alternative ways for them to enter the attic and he worked very hard to find me a great HVAC unit that would fit into the smaller space. I’m thankful for Allen and the crew from R & D. None of the other companies mentioned the access issue with the trusses and who knows what would have happened. They may have been cut in the install process and would have never told me, which could have left me with issues down the road. Allen was a true problem solver and showed he really cared about making sure I had a good system and making sure the structural integrity of my house was not compromised!
I have a home warranty package with First American and was very skeptical of things I had heard about getting a service taken care of with this company. My experience so far has been wonderful. I requested service last night and received a phone call at 7:30 am this morning to set up appointment to diagnose the issue. The Repair Technician was even early today. He was here for over two hours and was able to fix the issue. Very good customer service. Highly recommend!
