Where do I start is it the $199 upfront service fee, the ridiculous pricing on what was maybe an hour of work, or their absurd almost insulting $40 off the service? They claim I'm not the original owner so they can't really honor warranties on the only 4 year old unit. Its weird that I'm not the original owner yet have all paperwork to state otherwise. My unfortunate experience with this company started when a part on a unit they sold to me back in March 2019 failed. I called and they said that a service fee would be required before they even show up, $199 later I'm put in for an appointment the following Monday. The tech showed up before I was home and didn't quote me a price, didn't wait for my confirmation to start the work nothing. When I did show up which I figured had only been an hour, at the most, after he'd been there. He immediately threw paperwork in my face to sign and expected $436 for the job. At this point I'm $635 in the hole for a part that failed on their unit they installed. The invoice contained no indication of labor hours nor price for the part. I get it, they need to keep the lights on but at this point it's more like price gouging. I'd understand if I had an emergency appointment after hours but this was during normal business hours. I called to voice my concern and they said that price is what they charge for the capacitor change. Michael Church and I had a conversation, he said he'd try to get me back any money from Payne, their supplier, would cover for any of the parts failing. An email from Michael Church actually indicates that he'd only give me 10% off if I took down my reviews from Google and Facebook. My overall experience with this company has been really negative. Try and steer clear of them if you can, not really good business practice if you're trying to ensure costumer satisfaction. Which they only care about if you talk them up. Use anyone else in the elkhart area they're more than likely honest about their work.
Everytime we have used Church we have been very thankful for their responsiveness and help. Joe helped us with our AC on this very hot June day! The church staff is great and very thorough.
One of there employees rear ended me about 2 weeks ago. Did not offer to report it or let me report it. I called dispatch but couldn’t make a report without a name of driver. I drove about a mile and my car was acting up. I called the office number and was told three times they would get back with me to resolve it or give me the name of the driver. I heard nothing back after three days. I have two toddlers and am really disappointed in the management as the company ruined my car.
Christie was awesome. She checked over everything. I had the same issue last month and had a different service company come out and they didn’t check the igniter system at all. She noticed some carbon build up and cleaned off all surfaces great job, great service.
Arrived as scheduled, the technician was both quick and thorough and very professional. Great job of reviewing what was done and discussing the system before leaving.
I was told my service would be $99 to come and assess and give me a quote. However they charged me $160 to look under some ceiling tiles. I didn’t have an issue and no quote was needed. Nothing needed fixed at all. The guy wasn’t even there an hour. Do not tell your customers it’s one cost and then charge another. 10/10 do not recommend.
Routine AC service - Kristen was great! She explained everything she found and did to service the AC. Even the little details, like telling me my thermostat reads 74, but the actual temp of the air coming out is 72. Helpful and knowledgeable!
Joe was my service technician. He was knowledgeable professional & just a very nice guy. Will definitely use this business again. Signed up for their service program for our furnace & air conditioner.
We have used Church’s since moving to our new home. They are always timely, professional and courteous. They not only fix our problem at hand but they also assist with cost saving and prevention tips. Highly recommend them!!!
Replaced kitchen sink drain ...very polite professional and efficient
Joe arrived on time and was professional and friendly. He explained what he was doing and offered helpful suggestions.
They were later than the time frame given that they would be here. And charged an outrageous $430.00 price just to remove a single mouse from the fan. And tried to shop vac the other from the bottom which did not work so I got my broom then I had to pick some up by hand that wouldn't sweep out.Also was given a business card as a receipt. Only rated this because it not let me post otherwise. Going back to searching for decent furnace repair company.
Had my AC motor replaced. Service tech gave me a call when she was 20 minutes out, and then completed the repair in a timely manner. My only concern, it took about a month to get the replacement motor.
Very good service done on ac equipment. Tech was prompt and knowledgeable.
Sump pump stopped working, I was worried about basement getting water damage, problem was quickly identified, prompt professional service
I like a company that knows me by name and will service me ASAP because of my security w/ their company. Each service person has been so friendly and they help explain how bad news can actually be for our best.
We have used this company twice recently, both times Keith went above and beyond what was needed. We will be requesting Keith for all future repairs. Thank you church for sending us the best

It was a real pleasure having Mr. Nate service my heating and cooling system. He was informative of things I was not aware of. He talked with me as if we had known each other for years. He didn't even mind my being present while he worked. Good man? Thank you
