I was looking to buy a humidifier, but I wasn't sure if I wanted the whole house type or if I wanted a portable option. I called Jerry's Heating And Cooling because they had a really good rating and they were very helpful in answering my questions and helping me decide.
Problem was found very quick but I was charged 170$ for a capacitor that is sold everywhere for 18$. When i called the company i was told that it costs like that because is coming with 1 year warranty :). I understand charging a high price for labor, but robbing costumers like this is not professional.
Our heat went out and we called this company. They came out to check it and 20 minutes later came up stairs and said you need an entire new furnace. I have brand new white plush carpet in my living room and the tech walked through it with his boots on. I was so upset as i tried to have him walk around the other way but he clearly ignored me. So they tell us a crew would be here between 4 & 5 to start the job and it would take 4-6 hours to complete it. Crew shows up at 4... at 7pm they come up and say can we come back in the morning- we ran into an issue. I was a little taken back but umm i guess so. (No worries. I’ll go another night with no heat in my house) he said he would be back by 8am to complete the job. Ok perfect. 8 comes and goes. 8:30 passes by- 9am swiftly passes by- 9:35 the tech shows up. No apology no nothing. His “grunt worker” was waiting in his truck out front of my house on time. I’ll get back to why i said grunt worker. Shortly after they arrived 3 other guys came here and they were all in my basement talking really loud swearing and laughing. Meanwhile 30 minutes passes by- let’s waste more time. At 11am shawn said we need a part we’re gonna run over to Home Depot. Sure. An hour and 45 minutes later they get back with a small bag from HD in hand. Now I told them i had somewhere i needed to be at noon today- i mentioned this when they got here at 9:45. The main guy (Shawn) said we can leave and come back tomorrow if we’re not done. Nah that’s ok. I need heat. Since they were gone for almost 2 hours i surely could’ve run out and did what i needed to if i knew they would be gone that long. We purchased a new thermostat and were told it could be put in by the first guy that came to the call and told us we needed the furnace- but Shawn didn’t feel like doing it so it didn’t get done. Said it wasn’t compatible but the funny thing is- it’s the EXACT same one that’s hanging on the wall now. Exactly the same one. Guess Bc I’m a female he figured i wouldn
So although my issue was a man emergency and I can appreciate emergency calls needing to be handled. I called to have service performed on my whole home humidifier, I was given a time for an appointment. The day of my appointment the tech calls and ask if we can reschedule. I kindly agree and set up for the next day. Although it meant changing some things around I would make it work. Next day I call the text a half hour into my appointment window just to be asked if we can reschedule yet gain, and I was just about to be called. Now I am appreciate jobs running long and so forth, but to reschedule 2 days in a row! No consideration for y time and scheduling. Sorry I will not use or recommend this company.
I am revising my one star review after the owner called me regarding the problem I had with the technician. I had a bad experience several mornings ago with one of the technicians at this business and put a Google review that wasn't very good for them. Although I still didn't do business with them, the owner called me and was very responsive to the review and the problem with the technician. The review didn't fall on deaf ears, so he took care of the problem which was very much appreciated. He then offered to come to my home and look at my A/C unit at no charge and give me his professional opinion about the problem I was experiencing. I would give them a try if I need a HVAC company as they were responsive.
AC was not working and Jerry came out the same day I called to make an appointment. He was quick to diagnose the problem and proceeded to give me a few options on how to repair the issue. Jerry also checked to see if there were any other issues with the AC that might need repairing. He is on time, friendly and will not try to sell you on things that are not needed.
Our AC wasn't cooling so we called Jerry. He was at our home within 10 minutes, diagnosed the problem, and had it up and running in no time!!! Excellent prompt service! Extremely friendly and helpful! We will definitely be calling Jerry again if we have any problems with our heating and cooling systems!
I called Jerry for my heating problem. Jerry answered the phone right away and came to my house in 15 minutes and fixed the problem. His work was very professional he knew what he was doing. He rectified the problem in 10 minutes and my Heating started working again. I highly recommend Jerry for all your HVAC needs. He is reasonable and not charge you too much comparing to others HVAC contractors. Jerry you did a great job!! Thanks.
Contacted Jerry late Wednesday afternoon in regards to an April Aire humidifier to be installed on our furnace. He provided a quick estimate and was at our home first thing Thursday morning to install the humidifier. The installation was crew was friendly and left the work area clean. I would recommend Jerry to anyone for your HVAC needs.
Jerry is a great guy and very friendly. I called to get my furnace up and running and was able to help me out right away. Great service and great price.
It is with great pleasure for me to leave a review. I normally don’t do this. The experience and professionalism my wife and I received was something we have not experienced in a long time. We’ve had servicemen come in after calling, making an appointment and it’s 2 days later they show, they come in do the work and leave eagerly. Jerry came to our home within that hour to repair our furnace. He was friendly, and very informative to what he was doing, and explained the cause of the problem. He didn’t have to order the parts he had everything he needed to resolve the problem on his truck. We will refer Jerry to friends and family for HVAC concerns. We see why he has a 5 star rating keep up the Amazing work Jerry! Thank you.
After several bad experiences with different HVAC companies, I decided to take a chance with these guys! Jerry arrived on time, was very professional, listened to the issue, tested the igniter, informed me on the care and maintenance of the unit which was helpful and most of all HONEST. It cost $170 to replace which is exactly what he quoted me over the phone. Jerry's price was reasonable and diagnosis was accurate. I’ll definitely call him again and will recommend!
Jerry you’re FANTASTIC! Thank you for coming out in the middle of the night. Called @ 12:05 AM he arrived exactly at the ETA he said he would 12:24 AM @ Minooka. Replaced furnace blower motor; all work done by 1:12AM. Jerry is an experienced professional ~ I strongly recommend him! Don’t bother looking for anyone else... call him, he picks up your call (even if he was already sleeping).
Our furnace stopped working last night. I don't know how long it had been out, I only noticed because it was colder than normal. I called Jerry at 11:10pm. He answered immediately and was at my house by 11:30pm. Replaced a part and got my furnace up and running within 20 minutes. This guy is awesome and professional! He has our business for as long as he is in business :) Thanks, Jerry!!!
Jerry responded within 30min when my heat was out. Competitors would be 12hrs for service. He is very knowledgeable and honest and had the part in his truck to fix my furnace ASAP. Definitely recommend!
When my heat went out Jerry was extremely helpful, he was here within an hour of my phone call at 7 in the morning. He was professional and got the job done, my heat was back in 15 minutes. This was a great experience and his price was fair.
Jerry is responsive 24/7. He has come out to work on our furnaces a couple different times and always is courteous, knowledgable and fair priced. I highly recommend calling him for heating and cooling issues.
