UPDATE: We recently moved to a new home and needed a full inspection of the existing system and a plan for ongoing maintenance. The technician, Tommy B., arrived on time and, in a very thorough manner, inspected the whole system, gave us a detailed summary of the good and the not so good, and installed a new thermostat. We made a plan for ongoing maintenance moving forward and were extremely pleased with his professionalism and skill. We look forward to continuing to rely on CRNE for our HVAC needs. We had to replace our entire HVAC system after confirming we had a leak in a 15+year system in our condo. We reached out to a local company that came out quickly but spent about 5 minutes in our place before sending us a quote for a full replacement. When we called CRNE, Al (the owner) came over and spent the better part of an hour just taking measurements before working on an offer. His commitment to not rushing through the inspection in order to make sure a replacement system was the correct fit was obvious and appreciated. We got the offer the next morning and had productive and efficient conversations with Joy in the office who was prompt and knowledgeable. The team was made up of Tommy (there were two guys named Tommy), Al, and Billy. Both days they arrived promptly and got right to work. They were pleasant and hardworking the entire day. We could tell they paid much attention to detail and wanted to get it right for us. They even took the time to clean the floor of the room and left it looking better than they found it. Tommy B. in particular took the time to walk us through the entire system, explaining how it works in a way that was understandable, and took extra time to teach us the new thermostat system. Our new system is noticably cooler and also QUIETER, which was an extremely pleasant surprise. The old saying is true, that you get what you pay for. CRNE did an overall great job.
I was very pleased with the work and detailed information/advice that Tommy B provided during his servicing of my condo’s HVAC system! He knows his trade very well and is a true professional at what he does. I am fully convinced that I would ask for him by name if I need to seek service by CRNE Environmental Controls in the future!! Great service by Al and team. I called for service when my AC stopped working and they came out shortly after I called to assess my problem and associated fix. Very happy with the service and professionalism.

The technician was on time and efficient. I had lots of questions about the system. He answered them all, including how to use the thermostat. He even checked the thermostat batteries. I strongly recommend this company.
I can’t say enough about how great Cernes is! They are very helpful, and persistent in figuring out any problems I’ve had. The company gives off a very trustworthy vibe, which is important to me, not knowing much about HVAC systems. Update: I’ve now used Crnes for two years and their “trustworthy vibe” is still going strong. They really know the systems in my condo. Their customer service is amazing…… Joy and Tommy particularly stand out with their knowledge and friendliness. I’ve used ABC and Four Seaons in the past and Crnes beats them by a landslide!
Tommy was extremely knowledgeable, professional and very patient as he took the time to answer all my questions. I appreciate the suggestions he made in order for me to more efficiently maintain my AC system. He is an excellent representative of the CRNE company.

Al is amazing! He was very professional and was able to figure the root cause of my issue quickly. He is very personable. I enjoyed talking to him about his work in general. I am definitely going to call this company in the future. Highly recommended!
I was in a situation where I had no heat all weekend and contacted CRNE on a recommendation. Al came out within an hour and provided excellent service and was able to do the repair within a few hours. I feel that they were very honest and I would highly recommend CRNE.
Great Service! Joy in the office was great in explaining our options and we actually purchased the Service Contract. Tommy B showed up and was on time and super nice to my wife in explaining the service and what he was doing.
Tom, Allen and Joy have always been very professional, organized and courteous regarding work done at my home and at the Sauganash community church. I think Someone named Mike has also showed up before and has been excellent. I appreciate that they show up on time and have been able to efficiently solve any problems that might have developed. They have been consistent for at least 10 years now.
We only trust CRNE to service our heat & a/c. They were able to fix an issue while others told us we needed a new system.
Tommy from CRNE's was very thorough. He was timely and the service provided was quick. He also answered all my questions about my system, maintenance and upkeep. I will use CRNE's again in the spring to check my A/C Unit before the summer months! Very satisfied with the service provided.

Mom’s A/C went out. Called CRNE, talked to Joy (amazing Custer service!). Joy arranged for a service call same day (it was over 90 degrees outside). Tommy came out and was beyond professional. He told us exactly what happened, why, & how he would fix it. Personable, knowledgeable, trustworthy- I can’t say enough good things. Mom was again cool with working AC in no time. Easily scheduled a same day appointment and had service tech Al come to diagnose our ac unit. He did a great job and took the time to get the system running back at 100%. Since the system is 25 yrs old and on its last legs, he took the time to offer several options on replacements. He gave us options and honest estimates. He bought us a bit more time to squeeze out the last drop from our old AC. However when it finally dies we will be calling back Crnes and requesting Al to do the replacement for us. We are that thrilled and will be repeat customers
