I feel like I was ripped off. A/C not blowing cold air. I thought a circuit breaker on the roof had shut off. Repairman came during regular hours and spent a couple of minutes on the roof of my condo bldg, and problem was fixed. Didn't inspect my A/C unit at all. Told me I might also benefit from 1 pound of coolant. I'm not an HVAC professional, so I said ok. Total bill = $355. When I called later, I was told the repairman does good work, just doesn't explain it well. Offered $20 off my next repair. Not. This was my first and last service call with Ireland.
We have been partnering with Ireland for our HVAC needs for the past 22 years, and working with them has always been a pleasure. We began with them in Vernon Hills after a not-good experience with another company. We respected the Ireland family and team for their honestly, professionalism and quality service. When we moved to Chicago a few years ago, Ireland was able to transition to our new residence, but recently determined that wasn't sustainable for their business model. We were disappointed, but they provided a referral for us to a solid family-owned, Chicago-based company. They even transitioned the paperwork to them ... and what a pleasant surprise it was to open the mail recently and have it include a refund check from Ireland Heating & AC for the remaining portion of our annual maintenance contact! It definitely has been a pleasure partnering with you and the whole team for our HVAC needs over the years.
Had team out for quote for new HVAC units. They never got back to us with quote and kept promising it was coming. After several months I gave up.
Our heat went out during a blizzard and negative temperatures the day before we have a huge group coming for the holidays. Iris in the office was amazing on the phone, and they were able to get me a technician at the last minute. David came and fixed everything quick and easy, showed me some good stuff about my system. And was overall very professional and helpful. They helped me out of a jam, so I will be a customer forever. Thank you!
We had an extremely difficult AC replacement in a tight attic area. After having terrible experiences with several other companies we called Ireland. Their professionalism was top notch. They were able to explain options for the new installation clearly and simply. When other companies said the job would need a team of guys and take a week- the Ireland team of two came out promptly first thing on day of installation and completed in a few hours. Don't do what I did and call other guys and deal with that mess....call Ireland first and you will be happy.

These guys are A1. They were on time, professional, and very knowledgeable. They repaired my furnace's blower motor and blower fan. After replacing, they tweaked the compressor by adding a bit of refrigerant to fine tune my AC. It was very hot and humid inside and outside and within an hour, the house had already cooled down. Because I am interested in HVAC systems, the technician Rich did not mind that I followed him and asked questions. Besides being a personable nice guy, Rich knew exactly what to do. Great job Rich! The person who scheduled the appointment...Kyle...kept in touch, was pleasant on the phone and was easy to work with to get Rich out here. Thank you to all for a great experience. I would highly recommend using Ireland Heating and Air Conditioning for all future HVAC needs in my home.
We had a furnace/AC replaced by Ireland in September and just had a whole-house humidifier added. The quality of service on both projects was perfect. There was a minor engineering problem (in no way Ireland's fault) affecting the installation of the humidifier, the problem required extra work on their part, and use of different model of humidifier, yet the project actually came in slightly under the bid cost! In both projects working with Ireland was a delight. We needed one minor service call after the installation of the furnace - they were prompt, and addressed the issue as warrantee service. These folks are as good as it gets.
I can’t say enough about the service I have received through Ireland! When my heat went out, Dave himself came over after hours. I was afraid I would need a new unit, since the HVAC is 18 years old, but he told me with a replacement part and a good cleaning it would be good to go. I appreciate such honesty and dedication to service. Simply the best!

Over the years I've used many heating and air conditioning companies. This is the only one I trust to be honest and to solve problems rather than to invent or exaggerate them.
They were very responsive and in two days went from dead air conditioner to work replacement on the hotest days this yeaar
Prior to coming out, Customer Service had me run thru some tests to see if we could resolve the problem. Since the issue was a condenser, the technician was out within 48 hour. Mind you, this was during the 100 degree weather. Thank you Within Reach (Long Grove) for the referral.
Tech was efficient, courteous and friendly. Did a great job. Definitely going to use this firm again.

I have been using Ireland Heating for years. Every time a technician comes to the house, he has been friendly, polite, courteous and knowledgeable. Through the years we have needed the occasional repair and one year we needed a new furnace and an air conditioner at the same time. Throughout those experiences I have felt like the owners took the time to educate me on my options and at no time did I feel pressured to make a discussion quickly. I have always felt their pricing was fair and just and that they were willing to help me find a less expensive alternative if needed.
