My fiancé and I recently had a wonderful experience with Assurance and wanted to share. We had a minor issue with our AC and somebody was out within a couple of hours. Ben was a pleasure to work with. This company has great employees and cares about their customers.

Once again, Assurance went above and beyond my expectations. I am a Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker and needed an analysis/estimate on a Furnace/Water Heater which an inspector noted could have some serious safety issues. I had Ken come out to assess the situation, and sure enough the furnace is is need of major repair/replacement and was in fact a health concern. He made it a point to speak with the homeowner about it and made them aware of potential danger. Assurance is always my go-to HVAC company for many reasons, including integrity!!

The person driving the van is awful. Almost caused 3 accidents on lake cook road when it was snowing. Swerving in and out of lanes and break checking people….

I asked them if they give Free Estimates and they told me yes. but then they sent me a bill for $500 even after I spent $5800 to fix two of my HVACs. I would never use them again and would tell anyone they are cheats and pad the bills.

Our AC stopped working couple of days ago. Called this outfit and was given an appointment time between 2 pm and 5 pm. The technician showed up an hour early with no earlier coordination and conducted inspection. Upon conclusion of his inspection, he demanded a $115 inspection fee which was a surprise to us since no one ever mentioned such a charge when i called them to schedule this appointment or any time in between. I wish they were upfront about this as i am not sure what tricks they will pull if i decide to have them install new equipment at my house.

I don't normally do reviews, but I know how hard it is to be a smart consumer when it comes to these big purchases we make maybe 1-3 times in our lives and there is not much common knowledge on the subject of HVAC. Let me just tell you that you can definitely do a lot worse than Assurance. My AC went out right before the 4th of July holiday weekend in 2021. I bought my first home in December 2019 so I am a fairly new home owner. I had 3 companies come out and give me a quote. Assurance base price was the lowest, and even with upgrades the price/value was still the best Top Tech was good, but my research told me carrier was better than lenox, and Top Tech was going to be $1000 more even though the AC unit would be SEER 13 while I could get SEER 16 from Assurance. ARS rescue rooter was the worst. A guy came out and gave me a big speech that seemed like a timeshare pitch. It was so contrived and awkward. They wanted $3500 more than Assurance for very similar products (from what I can tell). Oh, and since I didn't have AC during the summer I got some kind of priority from Assurance and they came out the NEXT DAY after I decided to go with them. I will edit this review if anything major issues arise. So if it is unedited just assume everything still applies. Edit: I was not asked a single time to post a review. I think it's kinda cringe/desperate when companies ask for reviews. So I thought I'd include that info.

If I could leave no stars I would. My technician’s name was ZAID. First and fair most, he begun work by asking me to turn the AC unit on after discussing what the problem was (fan is working, but no cold air output. my house was 90degrees). I did as he asked and asked my fiancé to go out and make sure he didn’t need us to do anything else as far as the AC goes. First the technician told him to go under the crawl space and check the filter for him, which my fiancé was surprised and refused to do, because in our eyes that was the techs job. The tech in turn scolds him after asking, stated that he was here a year ago, and had told him/a young couple to change the filters every 3 months, and that it’s our responsibility as home owners to maintenance these items. Which in turn was incorrect. I wasn’t notified of this recommendation. I worked with a younger gentleman from my memory who had only stated that, since I’m contracted through a homeserve policy which helps pay for maintenance costs, he will submit the recommended repairs and see what was covered (which was everything for my furnace and AC repairs). I in turn went outside and questioned him about this information, very confused and a little angered by his bilittling tone. He continued to lecture us when I notified him that I believe he may be mistaken. After that point, I’m infuriated. I was done with being belittled and elected to address the situation before he left and leave a review given in my eyes it was very poor customer service from a man I have never met. After finishing the work, he seemed hurried to leave. Very quick to have me sign off on services and leave. I mentioned to him that I will be leaving a review, I didn’t appreciate how these concerns were addressed and how I felt belittled by his statement, and that for future customers, perhaps he should be entirely sure whom he worked with/spoke to before assuming they’ve had this discussion. Especially because none of the information he was claim

I've been working with Assurance for many years and have found them to be consistently professional, thoughtful and affordable. In our old house we had to replace two furnaces and two air condition units as well as general ongoing maintenance, and they were always great. In our new home, we had a tricky situation where the prior owners made an addition but did a poor job of jacking it into the old hvac. While we didn't know it at time of purchase, come winter we soon found out that the addition just didn't get much hvac pressure and so it was always freezing. And for some reason the whole house thermostat was in the addition, so the system was continuously trying to heat the addition and it meant that the rest of the house was always roasting. I had to pass between sauna and freezer all the time with nothing in between. It was miserable! I asked Assurance for help and they sent out their chief troubleshooter who diagnosed the problem and the solution. Assurance came to install a stand alone hybrid hvac system just for the addition and moved the thermostat to another part of the home and suddenly everything is absolutely perfect---balanced, comfortabel heat all the way through. It's like a new home! And I don't have to strip or add clothes as I walk through the home, lol, it's amazing. So props to the gang at Assurance for smarts, professionalism and value throughout.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Assurance Heating and Air Conditioning! Our furnace was limping along during the recent cold snap, frigid temperatures. The small company we had been using was not able to get to us, we were concerned it would flat out quit over the weekend. We did make it through the weekend, still not on the list with the other company. I called Assurance. Ray took care of everything; he set up our appointments with the sales rep and the installation crew. Derek come out, assessed our needs, we discussed his recommendations and chose a new unit. Herman and Johnny came out to do the installation. Kim took care of some office matters for us. Everything moved along at a great pace ( did I mention frigid temperatures?) and was done in a very professional manner. We will be getting our ducts cleaned in the spring. When the furnace comes on quietly (old one was noisy) and warms our house in this Midwest winter I really do smile. We are quite pleased with our new furnace and think the whole gang did very well by us. We are looking forward to a long relationship with Harvey and his crew and recommend them if you need the services of a heating and cooling company.

It’s hard to get to get good customer service. I contacted Assurance to repair a heating system. Technician canceled original appointment (one day off work) and arrived next day on time. I explained situation. He spoke to me first about a different problem not involving the heater. He spent about an hour to install a small part. He explained that the part was placed incorrectly by another technician years ago. This he said results in me needing a part for $200.00. This day the service person had $$$$$$$ on his mind. He said he didn’t feel safe or right turning in the system without the new part. I declined further service and paid him for the quoted initial costs. I politely opened the door. It is sad to have this type of service in the winter. He turned the system off. I had to take off another day and have a different service repair the service safely for a nominal/lower fee.

After another company really let us down, they sent the NICEST guy, immediately, at 1am, when I know demand was high as it was a hot night because they could tell the panic in my voice with having an infant son in a house that was getting close to 92 degrees at night. and then they agreed to double check the other company's work at no cost, and I honestly TRUST THEM to not BS me - if it doesnt need fixing they wont tell me it will. The office staff are professional, accommodating, empowered, and people seem to know whats going on. I dont know if they are family owned, but I sure get that vibe from the treatment we have gotten the handful of times I have called them. Highly reccomend
