technician Luke, stopped fan noise-Stabilized and leveled air conditioning pad-fixed air filter slot- attached dryer hose, and was originally only coming to check out the fan noise. I give Luke and Gibson's an A+, and would gladly recommend them to anyone.
The last couple times I have had issues with my AC I have called Gibson and they have been nothing short of amazing! The techs are very professional, they take the time to explain the process and assure you don’t have any questions. Pricing is reasonable and they’re very responsive! I will continue to utilize them for my AC/heating needs every-time !
Installer Lou was very nice and courteous. Also, when the installation was complete, he made sure everything worked properly and offered to sweep the floor. I would recommend Gibson Heating and Air to anyone. You guys do an awesome job! 💯❤️✅
We utilize Gibson Heating and Air for maintenance on our HVAC system, and have been very pleased with the quality, professionalism, punctuality, and courtesy of everyone we have encountered. Recently we purchased a new dryer, and we were getting an indicator that there was a blockage to outflow, and since we never had the vent cleaned, we thought it was time. Today, Luke P. came over to clean our dryer vent. We have lived here 5 years, and have not had this done. As you can see from the picture, we were overdue. Luke pulled out a large amount of lint, and made sure that the vent was completely clean, with 3 passes of his brush. Then he climbed up on the roof and made certain that the vent cap was cleaned out (there was lint build up there too) and that there was a good flow of air. He was right on time, professional, courteous, and very thorough. When he re attached the dryer to the vent, he made sure both connections were tight and proper. He did a much better job than the people who installed the dryer. Very happy with all the work that Gibson has done for us. I highly recommend their service.
Luke visited our home on May 17th, 2023, exactly when the appointment was scheduled. He was professional, courteous and explained the maintenance steps as he did them. Luke was respectful of our property and left no evidence that he was there, except that the system worked perfectly. We would recommend Gibson's heating and air-conditioning LLC to anyone based on the customer service we received in quickly setting up our appointment, and quality of maintenance performed. Searching for the right Contractor in any trade can be daunting. After going through 3 other A/C companies in town to find someone that was not trying to up sale me on a new system and then telling me it would cost an extraordinary amount of money to replace the system, I got a hold of Gibson Heating and Air which was referred to me by a friend. Absolutely incredible service. Immediately the technician went to work and within a short amount of time his diagnosis was Simple, to the point, and courteous. He Pointed out the issue, called in for the part left and came back within an hour to replace it. He said it’s now in great shape and asked if there was any other concerns I might have. I said no and thanked him for his straight forwardness. It’s been a few months now and my system is now more efficient and reliable. Thanks to the team of Gibson Heating and Air for the peace of mind. A top notch team.
Brett and his team have been very professional..efficient…& knowledgeable! We have had 2 AC’s installed and prior to that repair and they gave quick response and took great care of us! Very considerate of the Summer heat and our children/pups and couldn’t have been nicer- Cory came out after end of his day to troubleshoot all issues and be sure we were taken care of before leaving Very appreciative and nice to see people still work hard and care about their customers Can’t say enough about their team highly recommend them we were contracted with a ‘typical service’ and thrilled I reevaluated that and opted for much better quality service and maintenance
Kudos to Gibson Heating and air for providing an awesome opportunity for me obtain a Lennox variable heat pump & air handler at an affordable price that couldn’t be beat anywhere in the Jacksonville area. The staff/ technicians were very professional and courteous and very knowledgeable. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer Gibson heating and air to my friends and family! Outstanding HVAC company with great prices and customer service support.
We’ve been using Gibsons since we moved into our new-to-us (but 100 year old) house. We inherited 2 non-matching units and some awfully old ductwork. Brett was very kind to have someone come out and explain the units to us and get them cleaned up. A year later, one of the units that’s over 15 years old stopped working without notice. Everyone was booked out for days so we scheduled two companies. One came out within hours but told us we needed new coils and coolant that’s no longer made so it would be over $4k or we could buy a new unit. Gibsons arrived the next day and advised new coils would lead to more problems given the age of the unit. They also informed us that if we did replace coils there is alternate coolant that could be used at a rate substantially different than what we were quoted. For slightly more, we could buy a whole new unit from Gibsons. The office is so nice every time we call and we appreciate their honesty. We’ll continue working with Gibsons.
Gibson's is a great company. Brett is a honest and hardworking guy. The prices are great! Every one of his guys are professional. Unfortunately, we have had lots of issues with our Lennox a/c since we built our house, but Brett has always worked with Lennox to get the issues fixed. We definitely recommend Gibson's!!
Top notch service, quality work at a great price! Brett and his company saved me!! I’ve been with out AC in some of the hottest weather we have in fl for over a week. I went with a local company who was unable to complete the job. Panicking to have another company help me restore my Ac I found Gibson through there amazing reviews, which do not lie, these guys are the best! They heard my story and took care of the problem in 2 days, including a crane for the new unit, and all for a very good price compared to their competitors! I can’t thank them enough for their outstanding work and caring about there customers! I’ll be referring anyone looking for AC work to them moving forward. Thanks again guys!
Brett and his employees are amazing. I have owned three homes in my life and this is the best company, of any kind, that I have ever dealt with. They come when they say they will, they do a great job at a fair price and they came back and helped me with things that really weren’t there problem. Things where I changed my mind. Brett has also been kind enough to recommend other people to do other work and given me really good advice on random projects around my house. I love this company and recommend them to everyone I know who needs anything AC/heat related. I just wish I knew more people in need of their services. They are awesome! Kimberly Boyer

We’ll take care of ‘ya I’m sure there are similar places in the US but it seems that in St. Augustine everyone describing themselves as owning a business has either a lawn service, does pool cleaning, home repair, or HVAC. The bad news is that that doesn’t mean they are all good at it. In New England where I’m originally from, air conditioning is a luxury that many see fit to do without. Down here it’s a necessity and in summer downright critical. Finding the right HVAC company is like finding a good doctor. That first checkup doesn’t mean a thing if you can’t make timely contact or at least feel a remedy is in the works in short order. That’s the same with HVAC companies down here. When I first moved here I signed up with a couple of the largest companies thinking that bigger is better. Wrong! Not only do you never see the same guy twice on a service call, the range of expertise among the service people doesn’t always inspire confidence. Consequently, for the past 10 years I have only dealt with smaller, owner-managed firms where dealing with the same people all the time is their strength. It has worked very well - until recently. A few months ago I decided to replace the entire older duct work on my HVAC system. Finding someone to do such a retrofit isn’t as easy as you think. I first went to the small HVAC company I had been dealing with only to find out they had just been bought out by a larger concern. They would bid the job but only because I was a previous customer. To be on the safe side and not get blind-sided, I decided to get 2 other quotes. One came from a large HVAC firm in St. Augustine that seemed to have lot of positive reviews. When I called them they said they preferred to service or replace HVAC systems rather than install duct work but they’d quote it regardless. Finally, for my 3rd quote, I looked for another small firm like I had enjoyed for years and thought I’d see if it was too big a job for them. The company I called was Gibson Heat
When we decided our 20-year-old AC unit should be replace before it stopped working, we got bids from 5 local companies. This is a major expense and we needed to make sure we got the best system for the right cost. All bids were pretty comparable. But some just felt like a sales job or an “I’ll just replace the old system with new”. We asked a lot of questions and felt that the owner, Brett quickly responded and gave us correct answers of what was really needed not just a standard answer but in-depth explanations of why and assured us that we’d be happy. At his expense; Brett had the house checked doing a manual J report to prove to us what size system was really needed; we thought we needed a higher tonnage. I cautiously went along with his suggestions and we agreed on the install and I still pretty much held my breath. The team of Peter and John came to do the install. From the start these guys were very pleasant and knowledgeable (they were non-smokers which for us is a huge plus). They went right to work and we were amazed at how quickly the old system was dismantled and the new install was started. They took the extra time in the hot attic to attach the new supply lines and return air ducting up to the rafters so everything was neat and straight (no bends or kinks for straight airflow). Something the original company didn’t do. When inside the house cutting returns, they used both a drop cloth and a box to catch any debris. They followed our no shoes in the house rules without any objection. By the end of the day, everything was completed and no trash was left at all. The owner Brett came and inspected all the work and walked us through everything answering any other questions we had. The new system is so super quiet it’s hard to hear if it’s even running (something Brett promised but I didn’t believe). It was a pleasure working with Gibson's heating and air-conditioning. Brett Gibson & his crew are TRUE professionals! Gibson HVAC have completed 2 jobs for me and I couldn’t ask for a better price & quality of work. I recently called him last minute as my ac unit blew up and I have an AirB&B so the guest were uncomfortable. Not only did he have John (professional 100%) a new ac unit installed the next day, John also installed a mini-split in the AirB&B the same day. John is a true professional and when he leaves the job site it’s as clean or cleaner than it was b4! I will be using Gibson HVAC for EVERYTHING I have done in the future. Definitely the future HVAC company of St. Augustine!!!
