Have to say Barnes Heating & AC is an A+ company all the way around. From Thomas & Karen in the office being so informative, polite, & answering any questions we had. To the techs that installed our new AC unit were so polite, kept our house clean, & very professional. I highly recommend them for any of your AC needs.
I just watched your van and your employees dump metal in my trash dumpster. There is a sign saying it's not for public use. You could have at least shut the lid of the dumpster when you dumped your trash! Very unprofessional!
Barnes H&AC did a fantastic job for us when the coils went out in our three year old AC system, even with the supply chain issues during the COVID lockdowns. We had used their services for routine cleaning, but this was the first time we had a genuine AC failure since moving to Florida. I certainly plan on using their business again. Highly recommended.

Have you ever experienced service so good from a company that you want to stand on your roof and scream? I called many companies and received many prices and many opinions on what was good for them and not me. I was introduced to Barnes Heating and Air via recommendations on the local Sanford327 Facebook group. I called Barnes Heating and Air on 10/20 in hopes to find a honest and fair priced company that will show up and actually do what they say. I explained my situation to the owner Thomas and within 15 minutes he came personally to my house. He had a estimate to me in 30 minutes that matched our phone call. He did not try to upsell me anything I did not need. The next day at 7:45 AM the team showed up to start the install. New unit, new lines, new pad and a few hours later my family and I had wonderful A/C. The install team consisted of Austin, Ken and Dale. They were the A+ team. One of the best service install crew I have had the pleasure to hire. They worked clean, efficient and very well. I commend the team and thank them for the quality you would want provided. Thank you so much and really don't waste any more time with selecting your HVAC company. Look no further. Barnes Heating and A/C #1
This owner is not customer service friendly. He charged me $175 for a thermostat that retails for $33. And a $85 service call! $255 total billed. When I spoke with this owner he was not willing to adjust my bill. That tells me he doesn't need my business! After arguing he adjusted the bill to $205, and told me NOT TO CALL THEM FOR ANY FUTURE NEEDS AND I WON'T!!

I've used Barnes a few times for maintenance and a couple repairs on my antique A/C. They've always been responsive, got the job done quickly and at a fair price, and never try to "upsell" me on stuff I don't really need. Just an honest, straightforward company. Can't ask for more.
Great service! Like you used to get in the good ole days! The guys were very friendly, professional and informative! From the moment I contacted them and spoke to the incredibly nice receptionist who maintained contact when she saw an opportunity to dispatch the technicians earlier in the day (thank you!!). Price was very reasonable as well. If I'm ever in need of AC repair in the future I would not hesitate to reach out to them again.
These guys were amazing. Truly pros in every way. They arrived on time, diagnosed a complicated problem, that required out of the box thinking. And got a 25yr old A/C running. Cost was reasonable. Can't think them enough.
As a single Mom in the middle of summer, having your AC down is by far one of the most stressful situations. Barnes had a friendly and professional technician out in what felt like minutes. Great customer service.
Everyone from the first phone call through the completed repair was a pleasure to work with. We were so grateful for the quick response and straight forward problem solving. I will definitely call them again and will recommend them first chance I get.
Called on a Saturday during our heat wave. Thomas called right back and was able to come out Sunday morning and fix the issue. I was ok overnight due to having room air conditioner. True to his word he was right on time and got the line flushed. Best response best customer service. Highly recommend

Si necesitas servicio de aire acondicionado NO te comuniques con esta compañía a menos que quieras regalar tu dinero por un servicio mal hecho. Me dejé llevar por los reviews y me di cuenta por el servicio que me brindaron que por cierto muy MALO. Te explico, todo el verano la pase con aire, pero el jueves de la semana pasada decidí llamar a esta compañía porque mi AC no estaba enfriando. Uno de sus técnicos llego y mi casa y me dijo cuál era el supuesto problema y yo acepté la recomendación y reparación de mi AC......ya para el sábado el aire no funciona otra vez me comunico que esta compañía y vinieron a chequearlo y esta vez terminaron de arruinar la unidad. Me quede sin aire acondicionado y sin dinero para arreglar la máquina. This company definitely provides worthless service and overcharged service that they don’t warranty. I am sitting in house with no AC when I just paid them a significant amount of money less than a week ago for repair not well done...do yourself a favor and stay away from scammers like this company.
They showed up to diagnose the AC and told us that parts needed to be ordered in order to repair our unit. This was on a Friday and we were told that they would come back Monday to repair the unit, we didn’t hear from them again until Wednesday. Wednesday they came back again and fixed the unit, however the guy was somewhat unprofessional you could say. He accidentally switched off the power in parts of the house while “fixing” the problem. Our unit went out again not even several hours after he left. It is now Friday a week from the original problem and they have come back again to re-diagnos the issue, and they have left to get more parts to come back and try to fix it yet again. I don’t know whether they’re just that bad at their job to where it takes them over a week to repair just one residential AC unit, or I’ve even become suspicious that my grandfather who is the owner of the house and has been dealing with them directly is being targeted by scammers. It wouldn’t surprise me given the high population of senior citizens living in the central Florida area who are being targeted by scammers nonstop. Either way it’s pitiful the service we have been provided so far, I’ve been around the clock sweating for over a week and I’m feeling sick because of it.
