This business was great when we purchased 7 brand new units in one year from them but after that they treated us horribly. They don’t value or appreciate their customers and the company lacks family owned business values. When a system goes down, it takes weeks to get the parts and they get mad at you for asking when you’ll have AC again. We will never use Burgess again. The technicians are great. But the office staff & owner are unprofessional and don’t return calls.

We are new to FL and this was the first time using this company's services. Brandon Averbeck is the young man that came to service our unit. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We give him 5*. He let us know how much other services we inquired about or he recommended would be and we did have him do the coil cleaning. It saved us quite a bit doing this within the maintenance call vs. stand alone later. We are also going to be scheduling the blower cleaning. Great service call. That said, the cost associated to the coil cleaning, even at the discounted amount, I believe is too high for the actual work required to clean the coils. Really the only benefit is the liquid/product used. Outside of that, the work itself is too simple to justify the fee charged. Maybe in a different unit it may be a little more complex of a process but in our unit, outside of the product, all that is needed is a little patience and soft brush. Had I known that was "the cleaning", I would have questioned the $80 charged. I'm hoping the blower cleaning for $280 is something more complex and thus justifying that fee. The pricing is the reason this review is not a 5*. The price for coming out was fine.

Unit serviced by burgess on 7/15/2022 .AC went out on the evening of 8/4/22 received a return call Friday 8/5 and told first appointment would be Tuesday 8/9/22 almost a 5 day wait without AC totally unacceptable I wasn’t a new customer as they installed a new system May 2018 and service it yearly They are under staffed and probably don’t pay overtime I’ll never call them again

We have a leak in the ductwork in our garage that sits above the washing machine. In order to do the $400 repair that we want to do, Burgess told me I have to pay an appliance person to come out, disconnect our washing machine, move it out so they could have better access to the duct. Then I have to have the appliance person come back and hook everything back up again and put it back after Burgess is done. I was surprised that they offered no other alternatives for repair or some creative ideas on how to fix. Their option of calling someone else out does not seem reasonable and certainly not cost effective for me. After all the good reviews, I was disappointed that Burgess would not help us with our repair.
