I sent in a maintenance request to the company that manages my house (I rent) late yesterday (Sunday) that my A/C was dripping badly on the inside. Props to that company too. It is Union Properties of Gainesville. I got a text that their A/C vendor would be at my house this morning, and he would call me first. Note that this is the day before July 4th! Lance from Niehaus called at 9:30 a.m., and he was at my house 15 minutes later. He came in, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it, all within about 20 minutes. He was very personable and courteous. I am so grateful to Lance and Rachel at Union Properties. I know what it's like to be in this hot Gainesville July weather without air conditioning. A friend told me Lance has been in the business for 26+ years. He's a real professional.
Scott and Lance have been maintaining my HVAC system once or twice a year for the past 14 years. I've been totally pleased with every visit from them and have recommended their service to many people. They've always been prompt, courteous, honest, professional, knowledgeable... and don't seem to mind me asking lots of questions. I've never once felt overcharged or scammed into replacing parts that really don't need to be replaced, and if you look at some of the other less reputable HVAC companies reviews, that seems to be a thing in this business. I also like that they're a small two man company instead of the bigger companies that have a constant rotation of different service tech's, which leads to higher operating costs and the need for higher profit margins, which turns into larger customer bills. I've got nothing but respect and recommendation for these guys, and I only hope they don't retire while I'm still alive and need their service.

When our air conditioner died on Thursday night, we called Scott Niehaus. Lance was there Friday morning and was able to quickly repair our a/c. They were quick, efficient (truck is well stocked with parts), helpful and courteous. We were very impressed and would highly recommend them.

Scott and Lance were very upfront about the wait to be seen for a repairs. Which is nice to have the right communication. Then to be able to see us and fix it so quickly since they were already in our area. What a great team. Easy to work with and they actually pick up their phones when you call them.
I had an issue with my AC and saw this company working in the neighborhood so called them hoping they could come over. Sure enough they were here within the hour, repaired my AC, did additional cleaning for me and gave me a great price. I couldn't ask for anything more. I will definitely use again in the future and refer him.

Scott and Lance are amazing. About 5 years ago, one of the big AC "service" companies tried to convince me to replace my 1996 Trane HVAC. Fortunately, I found Niehaus AC, and that old system is still running. When it needs work, I call Scott, and he or Lance arrives within an hour or two and gets it going again. I'm always shocked by the level of service they provide -- and to top it off, they're just really nice guys.

Couldn't ask for better service. Completely satisfied with the installation of my heating & a/c system, good quality equipment. Scott is a great person to deal with, awesome customer service with really good prices. Took time to walk me through everything that was being installed and made sure I was completely satisfied after it was done. Will be using him from now on and definitely recommend to anyone in need of a/c & heating repair.
I have a heat pump that was so noisy that I had trouble sleeping when it was on. Two different techs (from big companies) had looked at it and could not diagnose the problem other than to recommend an entire new unit. I had not heard of Niehaus when I ran across them in an online search and saw that they consisted of just 2 experienced techs and had great reviews so I set up an appointment (which to my amazement was for the next day). Lance came out and diagnosed and solved the problem for me. He was polite and efficient and obviously very knowledgeable. The service charge was extremely reasonable for the time he spent working on my heat pump. With this company you will only ever get Lance or Scott (not the revolving cast you get with the big companies). I highly recommend them. By the way, do not be confused by the company name here -- this one and the other listing online with the "USA" is the same company. 8-14-2020 I moved from the house mentioned in my previous review and built a workshop at my new location. I had Lance install a mini-split a/c and he did a beautiful job at a very reasonable cost. When the inspector came out he said "they did a very nice installation". Lance was concerned with not only the mechanical aspects but the aesthetic aspects as well, especially since the unit was in a spot that is easily seen by anyone looking at the workshop.
Scott is absolutely amazing! He talked me through everything he was doing during my AC repair and taught me some things I could do to keep my AC unit running more efficiently (I've had work done before from other companies and no one told me these tips). Very professional and friendly service and pricing was well below what other companies quoted me. I highly recommend Scott Niehaus Air Conditioning and Heating!

Seriously the best AC company around. I have used them several.times for repairs to AC unit and I ALWAYS know they will take care of us and get the job done correctly. They are honest and dont try to sell more than what is needed. Will always use them

I've used Scott for my air conditioning for over a decade at three different properties. When our house needed a new air conditioning unit I felt like I ought to do my due diligence and ask around for recommendations even though I had used Scott in the past for basic service calls - two of the three people I asked highly recommended Scott. Last time he was at my house for a regular service he helped adjust the pipe that drained condensation outside and showed me a way to keep it clear so I wouldn't have to call him in the future for a basic pipe-clearing service call.
Scott Niehaus A/C is fantastic. Not only has Scott and his company been available at all times, he helped me with wiring a new thermostat over the phone on the weekend!
