What a mistake! They so damaged and poorly installed the system I could not even get anyone else to work on it. The entire system has been replaced by Badger Bobs and is working wonderful. Avoid the owner Doug and don't offend the lying son that kept topping off my leaking system since install.

I am planning to replace my AC and been researching about Daikin, which I believe AC1 heating and cooling carries on their product line. I need feedback or advise from AC1 and customers on how Daikin AC works and does it last for a long time? How much would it cost for install and Daikin system? My duct work is only about 6 years old. I hope you can help me. Thank you! :)
I had a entire new HVAC system installed in Jan. 2022, Josh met w/me and in the beginning for installation and has always been available to me for any questions. Today Arsen came out for my 6 month maintenance and he was very courteous and very knowledgeable in inspecting my system. I would highly recommend this company.
AC-1 has been taking care of our HVAC systems for about 5 yrs. We maintain a 2x annual maintenance contract. They communicate with you before the visit and send a text when the service person is on the road. Arsen Kushnir arrived an hour before the scheduled time (with my approval). He showed me details of every item that was questionable in my systems and provided unit pricing for all items. Highly recommend AC-1.

In a world where corporate customer service has dropped to an all-time low, I found AC1 Cooling to be a surprising godsent. My AC was leaving my filter soaked and the surrounding floor wet. This all happened on a late Sunday afternoon. I knew this was a "big" problem since I was vacating my home in 48 hours and would be gone several weeks. To my pleasant surprise AC1 not only had a human being (Josh) answer their phone "immediately" during a late Sunday afternoon, but they arranged my service call to take place within 18 hours of this Sunday afternoon call. Arsen was my tech and showed me I had a 2nd air filter in my system that I was not aware of. This filter was not changed in the 5 years since I purchased the new house. Upon opening the unit, we saw it was encased in a solid block of ice. Arsen was an excellent tech. He had a super personality and appeared to be very knowledgeable and thorough. I was impressed to the point I felt motivated to write the first business review of my life.
Ripoff. I needed 13lb of R410A freon. They wanted to charge $2000. Said they would give me a deal at $1500. You can buy a 25 lb tank for $300 (retail). I only needed half the tank - $150 of it. ....$1500....... not a profit but gouging. Yep. Call me stupid and call AC1 Heating & Cooling a ripoff. Great customer retention.
Great service, I’m very happy with them. We had a new AC and furnace installed back in October, everything was great until today, it shut off unexpectedly. Josh called me back immediately as it was after not mail hours, and he walked me through it over the phone, and got our AC back up and running. He also said he would get someone out asap if the fix he suggested didn’t take. Thankfully it did. Very easy people to deal with, great service, could not recommend them enough.
This Company is the best company that I have ever dealt with. Everyone from the ladies that works in the office to the technicians that installed our united are very courteous and polite.
Update as of 5/14/23. It’s been almost a year and since service follow up and it’s working well. No issues deserve to be upgraded. 11 months ago- Let me share by saying that I just recently paid to put a new AC system installed by AC1. I am only going to comment about the recent service and to separate the install in a separate thread. First, I recognize that everyone is short staff, given high season and amount of calls going out its something that we all have to deal with. I had a new unit installed, the next day I had insulation put in. In between the time that AC was working to the time insulation. Somehow the AC breaker got turned off. I have no idea, how. Anyways as a homeowner for a newly installed service, one would not know of this or the reason why. You can only assume that it was something had to do with the unit. As it turns out it was simple as breaker being turned off as the culprit. That being said, I will take responsiblity for this..however it was NOT related to installation (Cross-fingers). The reason I have given lower ratings is that it has taken more than 2 days to get service. If you have had your AC and cannot stay in the home, its simply unbearable. Being understaffed is simply not a good reason in my opinion on why service cannot happen sooner, Hoping this will not be a problem in case something really goes bad with the unit. Anyways.. My installation will be in a separate review. Waiting for some time to pass before I can give an accurate and fair asssessment.

Although we were pleased with the initial install of our unit in Oct ‘22, it did not pass inspection. The Dunedin inspector has been to our home 3 times and the unit has not passed inspection 3 times. AC1 has been difficult to work with even though we have been careful to give them our schedule (we have been here 5 out of the past 6 months). They do not return phone calls and since we are snowbirds we are returning home with a HVAC unit that has not passed inspection by the town of Dunedin. This last issue was regarding a proper label and an untightened wire. The label they left was difficult to read because it was written over with a marker and looked very amateurish - it was basically illegible. AC1 couldn’t find a way to get this done in almost a month’s time. We are mostly disappointed in their inability to properly communicate with us, and of course their inability to get the job finished. This is no way to do business.

After responding to a print ad, an appointment was set up a couple days later. Blake (service / sales) was very thorough in evaluating the electrical and measurements and answer all my questions. Then gave me pricing “on the spot” for three units (being up up north), I purchased the lowest priced unit.) 5 days later 2 tech’s showed up as scheduled and went straight to work with the installation. I must say I was very impressed with them. They were very respectful, attentive to my questions and worked through lunch to get the job done. Having been in the construction business and owning multiple companies I must say, they were exemplary employees. Without reservation, I give the entire process five stars and would highly recommend them!!
