I met the owner at my job, asked him a question about my AC, he explained what it could be, gave me his business number, gave me a few names to ask for, I called and they we’re out in 2 hours. The guys who were sent were quick, knowledgeable, and straight to the point. I needed a part and found out my unit was still under warranty, (which i was unaware of ) so happy for that. Downside we were without air for 2 days but the weather wasn’t bad, honestly beggars can’t be choosers and sometimes things are out of your hands especially when it has to do with a specific part. Needless to say, they came out the 2nd day early in the morning, did a routine maintenance placed my part and I was happy again with my AC running. They will continue to service my home from here on out. Not only because I’ve met Christopher a few times, but his business and quick service is top notch! You wouldn’t be disappointed :) thnx guys!

We have been using Newbern since purchasing our house a year ago.The prior owners did not keep up on proper maintenance and we needed a trusted company to dial in our 3 AC units that had drains clogged etc. ..they are always on time and do a fantastic job resolving issues while explaining what there doing and why. Great folks! They installed a couple units for me almost 2 years ago. One unit started blowing warm air, so I called in a repair around 9:00 a.m. They repaired a poorly seated compression fitting and had it going by 2:30 p.m. the same day under warranty. That says a lot about their work ethics and willingness to stand behind their work.

Newbern was outstanding. My AC stopped working on a Saturday. I called someone I had used before and the soonest appointment was the following Friday. Newbern was able to send a technician (Robbie) on Monday. He was on time, courteous, professional, and did everything he could to diagnose and repair the system. When that was unsuccessful, I decided to have the system replaced. The installers (David and Luke) arrived the very next morning. They were also outstanding, thoroughly professional, and very detailed. They also left the area clean and kept me informed. Overall, an excellentexperienceand, I believe, a fair price. Highly recommend.

The true measure of a company is how they respond when things go wrong. After previously using Newbern Heating for an annual check-up, I set-up another appointment this year. Due to the age of my house, and the initial install of my unit all those years ago, if was explained to me there was a serious potential of having my drip pan fail, which would cause ceiling & interior damage. I was given a couple of possible options to choose from to 'fix' the issue and the next day the team was over to implement the cure. As always, they were professional and completed their work timely - but here is where they really showed their awesome true colors. Unfortunately, due to attic constraints they were working with, the 'fix' failed, which as promised cause the drip pan to fail, and the next morning we woke up to a ceiling full of water dripping into our kitchen. A quick phone call at 7:10am on a Friday explaining the problem, along with a short video set in motion an amazing response. First, they took FULL responsibility and within an incredibly short time, they had their crew out, correcting the problem, but also they arranged for a restoration crew to take out the damaged ceiling and ensuring there could be no more water damage or mold. By noon, the fix was complete and the temporary repair in place, with a promise to fix the ceiling right after the Labor Day holiday. Two work days later, my ceiling was repaired, textured and painted so that no one would be able to tell there was an issue. You don't often find that kind of commitment to standards; I will be returning to Newbern again and again for any of my HVAC needs.

Read his one star reviews on Yelp and google. Don't use these men. Update: Not a part of any "hate campaign". My review is based on YOUR etiquette on your own Google reviews and the reviews of others. Your replies speak volumes to your level of compassion and empathy. Your reviews on Yelp dating back to 2015 show that you take advantage of the ignorance of a consumer when it comes to Central AC and heating units. You have multiple reviews stating you've taken advantage of women and elderly. 34 years in business and somehow still making mistakes as basic as overcharging refrigerant or damaging coils during install shows you still have room to grow. I hope you don't break too many pencils while aggressively putting strikes through the names of people who trusted you to fix their ACs.

In April of this year I contacted Newbern AC with cooling issue. Chris Newbern came out and told us our refrigerant was low and that our Evaporator coil needed to be replaced. I paid $1400 for a new coil and labor. His tech was professional and informative, we were told that we shouldn't have anymore issues with low refrigerant and that as a courtesy they cleaned everything and we should not have anymore issues and we should see a decrease in our electric bill. I understand it's summer and Florida, so I was okay paying a little extra to keep my home at 75. On Thursday July 22nd we noticed our AC was running continuously all day and our home was actually 2 degrees higher than the setting. I called Newbern AC first thing the next morning and Chris came out (July 23rd). He immediately checked our refrigerant and said we were "about 2 pounds low". I told him his tech told us that we shouldn't need refrigerant unless there's a leak or another problem and he said that its summer and sometimes it happens. He charged the refrigerant and told me we should be good to go without checking anything else. I asked for a recommendation on a long term fix and he suggested a 5 ton unit that he could install for $8000 with a $800 credit for the coil he installed 3 months ago. So $7200 out the door. I told him Id get back to him and he left. Fast-forward 3 hours later and my house actually increased in temperature despite running the entire time he had left. I gave Chris a call and he said it was normal and he couldn't help me. I explained that I had called Gould's AC to get another quote and they said it wasn't normal that it couldn't even hold temp, much less actually going up. If it was truly the refrigerant, we would have seen a difference by now. Chris promptly got defensive and told me to tell Gould's thank you and hung up on me. I texted him explaining I was disheartened that he would hang up on me given that I just wanted a resolution. He told me he "did the best he could" and
