I made an appointment two months ago. Today, they call and say they have to rebook for the Fall. Before the merger they never pulled stuff like this. Avoid HAARP and Solvit.

The reaction to them initially fixing our AC last year was great. The tech was nice and they replenished our refrigerant and we were good to go. But less than a year later, it’s not working again. So it seems that we had a leak that was not detected and now all that refrigerant we paid for is gone and we’re back at square 1. All of this is completely understandable but my issue is that they have no interest in making things right. According to the receptionist on the phone there is no warranty and nothing will be done to help. This experience has taught me to always go for someone who will guarantee their work for at least a year and hopefully anyone reading this can learn from my mistake. It will save you from wasting thousands of dollars.

We got our boiler installed and converted from oil to gas after an Energize CT loan was approved, and Solvit confirmed they received the approval paperwork. The work was fine except now our bathroom plumbing seems to have an issue, which never happened prior. Then I am being called by collections in Delaware , who has no information on our account about the loan, and there's no communication as to why our loan funds are not dispersed 9 months later. I cannot get a call back from the finance coordinator with emails and calls. I have submitted all paperwork but there's no response. Nobody can tell me who to call and there's no communication with the funding department. They were recommended by Energize CT but this is an absolute nightmare. I've never had such poor communication with a company and would not recommend this stress upon anyone.

they tried to get me to replace the AC unit + air-handler, and entire system for $20,000 instead of diagnosing and fixing the actual issue, which was the compressor. Paid something like $200-300 each for thermostats you can get on amazon for $50. Total billing was something like $1800 which included replacing the refrigerant ... here for 2 hours, and he didn't even fix the AC.

About 3weeks ago my furnace stopped working. A technician came out to check it. He gave us an estimate of over $3000 to “try” and fix it and if it didn’t work, we had to get a new system. My furnace NEVER LEAKED, ever. It wasn’t leaking when the technician was there, but as soon as he left my was leaking and it HASN’T STOPPED. He also said the pipes were full of air but didn’t try to purge them or anything, instead he said someone could come out and give us a free estimate on a new furnace. The sales person came to my house within 2 hours and gave us a price of NINETEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! My husband and I applied for finance and only got approved for $13000. The sales person came bk to our home and dropped the price to $15000 AFTER he initially told me the lowest he could go was $19000. Everything seemed so “scamish” that we just decided not to continue with this company. I would’ve just let it be, but the fact the my furnace continues to leak till this day is what upsets me. SIDE NOTE, my furnace was last serviced in November 2022. AND as soon as we got the system purged, it started working. The invoice# 3078180

having furnace issues and not knowing who to call i went with the business that had an old sticker on my furnace from previous owners. that was a mistake. they’ll charge you $100 for a “diagnostic” when in reality they send out a salesman to try and convince you that you need brand new systems. the guy literally told me my furnace wasn’t working because of my expansion tank, which makes absolutely no sense. other then a quick look he didn’t even try and look at anything else just started trying to sell me stuff. on top of telling me to fix the furnace and the expansion tank would cost me over a grand anyway (i found a real furnace place who fixed it for $300 and actually figured out what was wrong with it without charging me a diagnostic fee). even worse is after this charade of trying to sell me on new boilers, they then wanted to send a different person in to talk to me about quotes. probably so they could charge me more. long story short- if you’re having any kind of plumbing or furnace issues please just call your local small business guys, they’re the real ones who want to help and not rip you off!

Stay away and never use them. Completely unprofessional. Gave us two four hour windows and never showed up, it was an emergency leak and I ended up bailing all night. Dispatch never called back to tell us they couldn’t come out.

Installed a new boiler almost 2 years ago. I noticed some corrosive caking on one of the pipes and called them to come out. Their technician was great, I wasn't charged because he said it might be under warranty. I was told someone in management would call me back about it. It's been almost two weeks and I've called them twice having to leave a message with their front desk because the person was unavailable and their mailbox was full. They still haven't returned my call.

So after 18 years as a customer and paying for premier service my winterization appointment was cancelled due to other emergencies (i.e. customers who are paying for emergency rates) and was rescheduled to march 14th....so my WINTER service was moved to the week before SPRING. I called many times and was never able to talk to anyone who could help (three times was told management would be aware and yet no one called me back). So after 18 years and tens of thousands of dollars I am cancelling with you for what could have been a 20 minute checkup. I will go somewhere that values customers and loyalties and not short term money.

We were having intermittent issues with our water heater (brown water from the hot water faucets periodically for a few weeks) and we knew our water heater was probably on its last legs. Then one Saturday morning we woke to find no water al all (hot or cold). We have a well and the pump gage in the basement read 0, so we suspected that our well pump had gone out. Since we were already planning to replace our water heater, we tried to see if we could find someone who handled both water heaters and well pumps and deal with both issues at that same time. We also needed someone who could come out that weekend since the lack of water was an urgent problem even if the water heater could wait. We found that SolvIt advertised that they services and provided both water heaters and well pumps and that they provided 24 hour service. We called SolvIt and they were able to send a technician later that same day. We were told that there was an automatic charge for the service call that would be $104, which we agreed to pay. The technician arrived on time and was very polite. He took several photos of the water heater and also of the well pump. I had to show where the pump was and what to actually photograph since it was clear he was not familiar with them. He then called in the details to his office. After he was done contacting his office with the details, the technician explained that he would need to have one of their HVAC techs contact us about the water heater and one of their water techs contact us about the well pump, since he was an expert in either. He said that someone would follow-up with us about both. In the meantime, we did quickly receive a text quote for the water heater from the SolvIt office which was over $5,500. We paid the technician the $104 for the service call. He did mention that they were short-handed so that there might be some delay. It was now late Saturday afternoon and we still did not have water or know when we would have water restored. I immed

Called Solvit for a first time inspection and service on furnace in our new home. Our technician Jagger arrived right on time. He was extremely polite and professional. He thoroughly explained everything about our system and was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Solvit and will definitely be using them again.

First time using but it won't be the last. Had contacted several other plumbers but no one called back. Solvit not only answered my call but set up an appointment. Joemaiah arrived on time and did a great job explaining solutions, giving the prices and quickly fixing my plumbing issues.

Hi I had solvit come out and give me an estimate for a new heat pump the person who came out said my system should not just have a heat pump even though every other company I had come out said differ. I was okay with their thought process and told him I would check out an estimate for what he wanted to quote me on. He said I would get a quote in 30 min and to this date, I have never gotten an estimate. Highly highly disappointed do not recommend this company one bit.

I used Solvit to install an outlet for our hot tub, it was quite a job. Tevin the technician was wonderful. He made sure everything was done properly and to code. More than that he made sure everything was as unobtrusive as possible. He explained everything he was doing and why it needed to be done. I could not be happier with the experience and would recommend their services to anyone I know.

The company has a very bad communication problem. I had an energy audit done at my home in which my experience was horrible. They did nothing but walk around and talk to each other. We had to show them air leaks that they said weren't there. I also had insulation done in my attic which I had to call the office for my invoice a week after the work was done. I also was supposed to receive a print out and info on a air test in my house. The test was for drafts in the house and I never received any. This has been week two of waiting and nothing. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

It's difficult for me to believe SolvIt has a 4.5 star rating. In my one and last experience with this company, SovIt did not show up on time and their repair estimate was ridiculous. The appointment was scheduled from 8-12. At ~12:43pm I had to call for an E.T.A.. Their dispatch representative was hostile at first, but immediately toned down after realizing I'm no wilting violet. Dispatch gave me an E.T.A. and told me a manager would call me to explain why no one called to advise that the tech. would be late. No one ever called. When the tech. arrived he gave me an estimate of $1300 to replace a tiolet wax ring and flapper for 1 hours work and $20 worth of parts? Are you kidding me? I paid $107 for the diagnosis and kindly asked him to leave.

The techs were both very nice, I did the install myself and it went great, I accidently bumped a fitting and had a small leak so I needed them to come out to recover the freon, pressurize the system and recharge it...the best they could do was almost $1,500 for less than 2lbs of freon...that is absolutely unacceptable, I'll just buy another one and reinstall it for literally less than half the price of that highway robbery. I understand the "cost of doing business" but that is absolutely absurd. This should cost no more than maybe 500-600 at the absolute most. They could've left with 500-600 and instead they left with 122 because this business is extremely overpriced. But again the techs were very nice and friendly.
