Derek and his sons replaced my 1800's furnace with a new oil burning furnace/hot water heater combo. They tied into my old cast iron steam radiators and updated the valves on those. I was grateful that they completed the job in the time frame promised since I was without heat in December. This was a very challenging installation but everything works really well...I am so happy to have an efficient and reliable furnace for the cold winter ahead! The finished product is "a work of art" and I highly recommend Reutter Mechanical for your heating services!!
Ruetter Mechanical, Installed a Mitsubishi Mini-Split unit, four heads in our house back in March of this year. The service was outstanding, as was the product provided. Having had a chance to run the units in the heat, and cool modes, I wish I had done this years ago. So glad we got it done, and chose the right company for the job.
We can't recommend Reutter Mechanical enough. Our family was looking to do some major HVAC upgrades to our 100-year-old house, and of all the HVAC folks we talked to, Derek was the most responsive. His estimate was thorough, thoughtful, and fairly priced as well. One of our family's goals is to minimize, and eventually eliminate, the use of fossil fuels in our home. When I asked Derek about doing a hybrid heat pump hot water heater, he took the time to explain how it might work for our house. For us, it was a no-brainer and we were happy to hear Derek's professional opinion on the right equipment for our needs. When it came time to do the work, Derek was communicative and professional. He arrived on time, communicated next steps, and left our basement cleaner than it had been before he started work! Our new boiler and water heater are already saving us money, and our house is much more comfortable. (In fact, the water heater works much better than our old, oil-fueled one.) We'll be calling Derek next year so we can get mini split heat pumps for sure. If you want an honest, fair, and experienced HVAC expert, call Reutter Mechanical. Derek has our business as long as we live in the area and we enthusiastically recommend him to all of our neighbors and homeowner friends.

This past December the boiler in our house needed to be replaced. Derick did the replacement of the boiler. He was professional, showed up when he said he would and did the job in a timely manner. He worked long hours so we could get the heat working again in the home as quickly as possible as it was starting to get very cold at that time. I would not hesitate to call Derick for any heating or cooling job. I have used him again since then for another unrelated matter with another old boiler. Again he was professional and did the work in a timely manner.
Derek has been amazing, not only has he fixed our old fuenance in the past on short notice and after hours in an emergency but he recently just installed a new boiler for us. This job only took him about a day and half to complete and then the system runs great! He is responsive and punctual. I will never use anyone else for our HVAC needs as long as he is in business. I cannot reccomend him enough.

We experienced water leaking from our filter and the drainage line kept clogging. The first service call, Derek was called for the water leaking and determined the entire Aprilaire unit needed to be replaced. (Very expensive and almost seemed unnecessary) After the replacement, we noticed the unit was leaking again and he was called a second time to which he shared he forgot to blow out the lines, pretty basic...He was called two more times for the same leaking issue and my husband started troubleshooting with him and uncovered the rust build up was impacting the water flow to the collection pan. He confirmed that was the issue and that he did not tell us that was the issue during his earlier service calls. Not sure why he did not rule this out or communicate this after the second service call. Frankly, I'm not sure why my husband had to troubleshoot the issue for him. Derek had a non-chalant attitude and the fact that as a 'professional', he missed basic troubleshooting and follow through was disappointing. Ultimately, the pan was not replaced and given he charged us to replace the entire unit, you would think this would've been part of his overall evaluation. We will not call him for any other service needs and would caution anyone else from doing the same.
Repair went well, had an issue. Derek made it right. I would recommend.
Excellent job
I am so very pleased with the installation of a new ductless ac system. Mr. Reutter originally answered a request for service to an existing system. After he explained all the options completely, I chose to purchase this new equipment. It was the right decision for me. Thank you Mr. Reutter !

Derek is awesome! He came out to my home and inspected my ventilation system and found some problems I had no idea existed. I had some concerns for my health, so I scheduled to have him come back out rather quickly and he took care of everything. Would absolutely recommend him again. Thank you!
