Every Tipping Hat employee we worked with was professional, courteous, & followed good cleanliness all through the job. No mess, no spare trash at the end. Work completed in a timely manner.
I’ve never had to call for outside help before but when an electrical problem came up that I was not able to solve I was very fortunate to be assisted by Jacob Bradford at Tipping Hat. He came the same day as we called and went the extra mile when it came to climbing around our hot attic to find the source of trouble for what we thought was just a simple electric outlet swap. We highly recommend Jacob and will use him again should the need arise.
Jacob came out to replace and fix multiple things around the house. He was professional and nice and made the whole experience quick and easy. If people are looking for a good company I would highly recommend this one
Alex was quick to respond to my request for service and also able to accommodate my date and time. She kept me informed throughout the scheduling process and also updated me the day of service. Josh arrived on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He completed the job in a timely matter and gave a detailed explanation of the work performed. I will definitely use them again for any future needs.
Amber is one of the best I've ever met representing her company. She provided highly professional resposnes to all my questions, gave me insight that was very helpful aboiut the installation and use of my HVAC system. Tipping Hat offered very competitive pricing and assurances of quality installation and followup service.. It was with some regret that I chose another supplier for my needs. Oddly, though I did choose someone else, I would highly recommend that you seriously consider Tipping Hat .... the numbers could very well be in their favor for you..
Amber and her team performed as promised. We have no regrets. The service was excellent. We do not want to exaggerate, but somewhat reminded us of times gone. Thanks so much.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We're currently in legal proceedings with them when they came out to do a "routine maintenance" on our boiler (that they suggested while giving us a quote for an AC replacement) and then broke our fully functioning boiler and then requested additional funds to fix it (which we paid and they DIDN'T fix it!). The person that performed the service is also no longer with the company but they refuse to give us our money back and their only additional resolution was to purchase an entirely new boiler from them for over $20K!!! SCAM ARTISTS! There are plenty of other reviews here and elsewhere that confirm what I'm saying and I only wish I had done more research before even agreeing to a routine maintenance with them. We luckily had 2 other trustworthy and reputable companies come out and they fixed the problem. We're out the money that Tipping Hat scammed us for and the money we had to pay the other company to actually fix the boiler that Tipping Hat broke and our legal fees. Don't make the mistake that we did!!!
I decided to call tipping hat because I received an advertisement in the mail from them. Called to schedule an appointment. "Unfortunately, we are all booked out for the season. We wouldn't be able to service your request." I guess business for them is going extremely well and they don't need any new business. Definitely will find another place who needs customers. Why would they be sending advertisements if they're already booked up? If they're all booked up for the season, then why even bother asking me what the issue was with my air conditioner. I suspect that they only want jobs that are going to cost a lot of money and they don't bother with smaller jobs. When I said I wanted to schedule an appointment, why wouldn't they just tell me that they are filled up for the season versus asking me a bunch of questions about the kind of work I need done to my air conditioner.
Hi the guys that provided the service to my evaporator cooler were absolutely wonderful. The were one time, kept me informed, and were delightful, and then the end, got it up and running. I would give them five stars. But I probably won’t be using tipping HatThe pricing was ridiculous. Are usually pay to 125 for summer service which also includes changing the pad. With you guys I paid well over $300 plus a trip charge. This price did not even include changing the pad that would’ve been another probably $300 or more. And then to replace a belt which runs at the most $20 it cost me well over another $300 so it was over $600 to start up my evaporator cooler. I am very disappointed in the pricing.
We are very impressed with the professionalism of Tipping Hat. They are very knowledgeable of boiler systems and heard they are one of the best in the business. They are very responsive, timely, and professional. They explained everything and walked us through the install. They also offered interest-free financing which we took advantage of. I would highly recommend them to replace your boiler.
When I called today they cancelled my appointment. I had called yesterday and scheduled a quote for a whole house rewire letting them know I would be at work and leave the key in the box. When I spoke with them today to confirm my appointment, since I didn't recieve a email or text as promised. They informed me the receptionist was new and should have never booked it without me there. Do not waste your time, they will overpromise and then fail to deliver and apologize for the inconvenience. Should be 0/5 but that's not an option. Ho do you expect people to take time off with no notice given.
Amber K., Steven Chappy C., Joe E., John S., Kyle L. and Zach J. were great to work with. Education about their air condition products and installation process was excellent. They scheduled and completed the job quickly. I’d recommend giving them a look when considering bids for HVAC work.
Josh with Tipping Hat Plumbing recently replaced my old/leaky outside sprinkler vacuum system and a leaky outside water spigot. While in my unfinished basement, Josh noticed and pointed out several plumbing jobs completed incorrectly. I advised Josh the work was completed by a family friend, who is not a plumber. We also discussed recent flooding in the basement. Josh advised me of work he could do through Tipping Hat which would prevent flooding in the future. Josh also replaced and relocated a spigot shut off valve in my basement with the appropriate type. That work was also completed by the family friend. Josh is personable, an experienced plumber, very knowledgeable about his craft and cares about his customers enough to want them to have good quality plumbing work that will not fail. This was my first time using Tipping Hat, but will not be my last. Thank you so very much Josh for the free advice and observations and for doing such an amazing job. Oh, Jose even made me aware of a problem in my outside sprinkler box, which I will speak to my sprinkler guy about. Also, Josh arrived early and refused a tip, now that's impressive!
Zach was very knowledgeable and professional. I was given all the options and prices upfront to make decisions. He also explained every service and why he performed it. I would highly recommend this service.
I used them to replace some plumbing and install a new water heater and humidifier a year or so ago ($2000). Called this week to schedule HVAC service, and I was told that they were booking higher volume repeat customers as their priority. (?!) My first experience was great. The second, not great.
My experience with Tipping Hat was top drawer! They got an estimator out the day of my call and completed a the bulk of a complex home electrical installation two days later. When a part that I had ordered arrived, they showed up the first business day after arrival and completed the installation. The team was well trained, professional, personable and a joy to work with. I plan on using them again as my needs may arise.
They canceled our initial apt for a furnace tune up. We rescheduled. Then they canceled our follow up apt and referred us to someone else. They never said why they wouldn’t come out to our house. I wouldn’t use them. Absolutely ridiculous and awful customer service.
Very knowledgeable technician! I had one job in mind and the tech walked me through multiple options that would have cost less but got the same job done and then let me decide which route I wanted to go. offered to follow up with some extra small services related to the job that I wasn't even thinking of and then walked me through how to do my own maintenance on the new installed parts. Very respectful and polite tech too.
A performance inspection of my air conditioning system revealed a new system was necessary. After an interview with representatives of the the company, I had some reservations in regard to the quote and information about actual scope of the work and inspections and follow up. Ratings and reputation of this company was good, so despite a feeling of uneasiness I was going to enter a contact. Later my daughter came over and I mentioned the experience to her. She was surprised at the overall cost. She told me tipping hat did the same type work at her home and she highly recommend them. I had an appointment the same day with Kodiak. He worked up a proposal that was very attractive and he was able to do some negotiating on the overall cost. The next day a highly professional and qualified team arrived to accomplish the task. Gabe and Detlef did a perfect job and finished on time, before the team left two certified electricians arrived and completed the hook up ..Nick and Chris did a complete function of the electrical. FIVE stars
I had an excellent experience with Tipping Hat from initial contact, through Dispatch (Erica has personality and it shows!), to contact from Sales (Kodiak, you rock) to the crew showing up (Floyd and Bert first) and completing the box fabrication and installation and wiring (Kyle - awesome job moving the electrical service to make it easier to access). This company won this business and if you have a reasonable budget you will be pleased as punch. They nailed the timeline and I'm so happy I chose them for our family HVAC need!!! I do recommend a PCI compliant payment process. If you're the business owner I can help you make that happen!
