Updated 3-star review: A manager of Apex, Patty, called me and we had a long, honest conversation about my experience. I appreciate her taking the time to hear a former customer out and her willingness to improve their services. She sent a field manager, Frank, out and did a QC check and a free sanitation for the duct, along with a 20% reimbursement of what I originally paid for 2 weeks ago. They tried their best to make me feel better after I left a bad online review. At this point I have not decided whether I would use them again or recommend them to my friends; if I do, I would advise double checking their prices beforehand, and perhaps getting a second opinion/quote before committing to them. Original 1-star review: First of all I believe the technician did okay on the duct and AC cleaning work. The negative review is based on the HIGH HIDDEN PRICES and my overall experience. I first saw Apex had Groupons available for duct and AC service at $50 each, I bought both and had an impression that I did not need to pay much more for those services on top of the Groupon price. When I made the appointment, the representative on the phone did not tell me the AC tune-up Groupon did not include any actual services, but instead it only serves as a system check. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING TWO GROUPONS, IF ANY, FROM APEX because they had duplicated/minimal functions. On the day of the appointment, the technician, Seth, told me the AC tune-up would cost $600 extra, on top of the tune-up Groupon I paid for. The duct cleaning also costs $500 extra because the duct cleaning Groupon was quite useless as well. I regret not sending him away after his quote and stopping my losses at buying two Groupons at that point. I also told him I was interested in getting a whole home humidifier, he gave me a $1600 quote which was a bit higher than market price (800-1500 is the norm according to my sources). He then tried to hard sell me on a UV light machine (Halo LED by RGF) at $1900. I said I
I recently bought a townhome and because my son has asthma, ensuring we had clean air was a high priority. I had no idea how contaminated our indoor air was until our technician ran a test. He encouraged me to purchase a whole house filter. I did and I am so glad he took the time to educate me about air quality. Within hours of installing rhe filter, my son commented that he could breathe more easily and the burning in his lungs was gone. I am grateful for the professional service and attention to quality we received from Mason and Alex, the techs that worked with me. I highly reccommend using Apex Clean Air to improve your indoor air quality
We definitely needed to have our air ducts cleaned. Nate from Apex did a great job getting things done. Besides throughly cleaning the air ducts, he dismantled the furnace blower and motor for a deep cleaning. We highly recommend Apex for your air duct cleaning needs!
We had a great experience with this company. Michal Brazile was able to fix some issues we had with our air conditioning and cleaned the ducts for good price. Would definitely recommend using Apex!
Ryan called to let us know his ETA when he was 25 minutes from arrival, well within the appointment timeframe. He did a thorough evaluation of our HVAC systems and made suggestions for improvements and preventative maintenance. He then cleaned our ductwork, service vents, air return, and dryer vent. Ryan was very careful of our home and explained what he would be doing before proceeding. Overall, Ryan was very professional and friendly, and I would be happy to have him to work in our home when needed in the future.
Dishonest company. Before leaving Apex manager, Michael Brazile, informed me additional work was needed to fully seal the ductwork and prevent AC from going into the crawl space. He said he could recommend some companies and was going to go call my landlord to share the recommendation and tell him what had been done. Fast forward a week, my landlord informs me Michael told him the ductwork is fully sealed and no further work is recommended or needed. I then called Apex to confirm, since Michael gave opposite advice to my landlord and me. Apex refused to confirm whether or not their advice regarding the need for duct work repair had changed. They claimed they weren’t at liberty to communicate with me because my landlord had sent them an email instructing them to only communicate with him directly, and to not communicate with me. My landlord said no such email exists and he didn’t make such instruction. My landlord informed me that when Michael called upon leaving the house last week, he was EXTREMELY frustrated and declared Apex will only communicate with him going forward due to miscommunications and, therefore, Apex’s refusal to communicate with me is self imposed. The refusal to communicate isn’t the real problem, their inconsistent statements and dishonesty is. If they change their recommendations regarding needed work instantaneously, depending on who they’re speaking to, with no explanation for the change and lie about something like this (claiming to have been given instruction they were never given and referring to a fictitious email to defend their self imposed refusal to communicate), one can only wonder what else they lie about. I wouldn’t trust Apex to give an honest evaluation of what work is needed (it could change wildly without rhyme or reason) or guidance regarding the most advisable or cost effective repair or install option etc. I would never hire a company I can’t trust.
We had Seth come over for an air duct cleaning and were very happy with his prompt and thorough service. We also got a Reme UV HVAC system installed due to his guidance and very thorough explanation of how it can keep our home cleaner for our two young kids. We’ll be using APEX for our HVAC needs moving forward.
What started out as a bad experience turned out to be a great experience after all. The most important thing in life is fixing what was not done correct and they made it more than fair and right. Will definitely do business in the future.

Seth went above and beyond my expectations during the full duct system cleaning. I’d recommend using there services to anyone interested in having their hvac system serviced.
After a GREAT air duct cleaning from Tyler H., my husband and I decided to talk with Mason S. about upgrading our HVAC system. The home we purchased came with a dead A/C and a working furnace that is at the end of its life. We were so delighted that Mason S. took the time to explain our upgrade options. Tyler and Mason are not only helping our home but our life and baby on the way. I HIGHLY recommend them! :)
Andy was amazing. He worked hard and explained every detail, and answered all our questions.
Frank and Ron performed an excellent and competent service. They did exactly what they were supposed to do and explained the entire process to us. I would recommend Apex to anybody. We're very happy with the service and the product.

Our technician Ryan was extremely thorough and professional. He walked us through the different options and helped us get our system working more efficiently! Will definitely be using Apex for our future HVAC and duct cleaning needs.

The technician was fabulous! Very knowledgeable and informative and efficient. His meticulous nature was an asset. Also, Summer, the receptionist, is a delight to talk with! Cannot say enough good stuff! Great price as well.
I found this company through Groupon. After reading various reviews, I knew the $49 was just a way to get in the door and that I was going to be paying more. I had the pleasure of working with Nate today and my experience with him just blew me away! I told him my concerns/what I wanted to get done as well as my budget. He was extremely knowledgeable and worked with me to find a plan that not only works best for us, but was also budget friendly. Nate was extremely hard working. He came for a Groupon package and was kind enough to stay until all of my add-on jobs were completed even though it was 8 hours later! I felt so bad for Nate, however, he was so kind and polite the entire time! If I ever need work again, I will definitely be coming back here. Nate made me a customer for life!!
I just had Ryan Chen from Apex clean out my vents and do a system check for my home. What a pleasure! He was very friendly, polite and knowledgeable!!! I am very impressed with the system they use…a hepa vacuum.. no dust or mess in the rest of the house! So glad I now have a clean system! I highly recommend Ryan and this company!
Everything was wonderful. Scheduling was a breeze, they will send you an email confirmation and texted me when they had a cancellation to get the job sooner. Great customer service. Our technician, Mason called when they he was 20 mins away. He arrived in the expected arrival window. Mason was amazing. He was professional and very thorough. I am impressed and would recommend Apex Clean Air to anyone.
