Paul (contact person) was professional, efficient and straightforward. Dispatched Alex (technician) who diagnosed and resolved a strange refrigerator issue (defrost control) within a reasonable amount of time and before things got any worse (refrigerator/freezer contents gone completely melted). Good/dependable operation and service. Not cheap but worth it for peace of mind.
Called them up base upon their reviews but the man on the other end of the phone sounded half asleep and connection was in/out - He said to me the service call is $90 and when I ask him is that the price - I could barely hear him and ask him to clarify then he hung up on me - At first I thought we lost connection so I called back and no answer. Very rude service experience.
They were so responsive, quick, and thorough! Very transparent with pricing as well, I'd recommend them 100%. So glad my dishwasher is working again :)
I called General Appliance Repair in the morning and they had someone to my house just a couple of hours later. He was friendly, professional, and helped us diagnose the issue with our dryer in under half an hour. He then offered to assist us with the repair or talk us through how to do it ourselves. Great service!
General Appliance Repairs did an awesome job with an urgent dryer repair. They were super responsive, came early (a few minutes in advance of their delivery window!) and quickly fixed my issue. I am so grateful! Will definitely use them again if any urgent issues arise.
I always get stressed out looking for someone to repair my appliances. I know nothing about fixing machinery and am always afraid of getting ripped off. My tenants in SF told me the dishwasher broke (it wasn't draining and it was throwing some type of heater error) so Peter came and diagnosed the problem and thought there was something wrong with the sensor. He came back a few days later and replaced the sensor. My tenants told me that fixed the draining problem but the heater error was still showing up. I spoke to Peter and told him the fix didn't completely fix the problem and even without me asking, he gave me a full refund for the parts and labor. I was super appreciative of it and asked if he could come and take a second look but he suggested I try another company to do a second diagnostic. It's companies like this where I appreciate their honesty and good service.
Our refrigerator/freezer was no longer staying cold and Max quickly responded to my query with a quote and same day availability. Alex arrived within the designated window of time and got to work right away. He figured out it was the compressor - but he didn't have the part so he said he would come back the next day if he could find it. He was upfront and transparent in quoting the cost for replacing the part - and if he couldn't replace it he recommended replacing the refrigerator instead of going down the costly path of ordering a new compressor. He offered the same window of time for his return - and then texted a few hours later that he found the part needed and could come first thing in the morning. The next day, he was able to complete the repair in 30 minutes! They offer a 1 year warrantee on repairs - but unfortunately it doesn't apply to refrigerator compressors since they can't be repaired. Nevertheless, I would gladly call them again for future repairs, based on their professionalism and ability to deliver. Thank you Alex!
Pavel came to diagnose my Maytag washing machine that was fried when PG&E turned off the power to our block. Within that appointment he determined that the control board was fried and told me the cost to replace it--$280 for the board, $300 for labor (because he needed an extra hand to unstack the dryer on top of it). Within a day of the part arriving he had my washer up and running again. In conclusion he quickly diagnosed the issue, quoted the repair and had it fixed within a week. Yeah we had to wash our laundry somewhere else but it was cheaper and about as fast as replacing the machine. Thanks Pavel (and no thanks PG&E).
We called GenHome when our furnace broke, just in time for the cold weather. They were very responsive and Petru was at our home the next day to check it out. He correctly identified the problem and fixed it within a business day. Since then, Petru came by 3 more times to help inspect an issue which ended up being unrelated to the original problem. Overall, we are very happy with GenHome and their responsiveness. I would definitely recommend for your repair needs!
The service was delivered as scheduled and the repair person identified and fixed the problem quickly. I was concerned that paint had dropped on to the heater surface but he assured me that it was merely build up. Once he revived the build up, he gave me cuter instructions on hire to get rid of any remaining dust. It worked. The heater is working properly.
Called them on Friday to fix my stove and Alex was here next day and job was done in 30 minutes (reasonable price) Professional and respectful guy Will definitely call them again

The appliance man we used previously, retired so we were happy to find Paul.He came when he said but sadly had to tell me my washer wasn't worth fixing. He gave me good advice about purchasing our next washing machine.
Paul came, diagnosed the problems, ordered the parts right from his phone and came back the next week to install them. Very professional and efficient. Now I have a dishwasher as good as new. Thank you guys!
The fastest repair I have ever had. It took the repairman 5 minutes to figure out the problem. He had the parts with him and another 10 minutes he was done and my dishwasher works great. Communication was awesome. I submitted my request online and the response was next business day. An appointment was set and I was notified when to expect him as he was in route. I felt safe and he was respectful. This company checks all the boxes. Highly recommend!
