they are supposed to be a contractor for evaluating heat and air systems for the ladwp however they seem very unprofessional and unhelpful in scheduling this service. they should not be contracted as a vendor, they do not want to help with this. **edit Surprised at how fast after I made this review, I got a call back offering to be of help in any way they could after reading my review and wanting to set up an appt. As it should have been to begin with was my thought. However, After 2 months they have responded to my review- claiming they now reviewed my call and was determined my unit is not qualified as eligible for the optimization by what i said on the phone. Would it help to check the unit? it turns on my guess was it was low on coolant as i daid on phone. The service offers 2 free gallons of coolant paid by the ladwp program which I probably guess not biggest moneymaker for them and bigger better svcs. It works but is not cooling efficiently and thus has not been in use for some time by me. And to clarify... the best idea for whomever I spoke with was to call around to other Contractors affiliated to see if anyone else may be able to help because you did not have appts available anytime soon for this service. That is what compelled me to write this review. Why a company that supposed to be affiliated with the program cannot make an appt to do what the program offers to its ladwp customers. Thanks anyway.
This review is LONG overdue, but I can't recommend Reliable AC highly enough. This was my first time working with them and they were referred to me by a family member who has used them in the past, but I have never had a company go so far out of their way to make sure I was getting the most savings possible for my project. I had to replace my HVAC unit and they really went out of their way to make sure I didn't miss out on $6k in rebates that were about to run out and I can't speak highly enough of their professionalism and expertise. Karen in particular is an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process.
Our home has never had air conditioning but has had forced air heating. This year we decided that we needed some sort of air conditioning since previous summers had been so hot, in the triple digits on occasion and fans, though helpful, didn't solve the issue. My husband studied the types of air conditioning available and decided upon Ductless Air Conditioning. Eli came out, listened to what our desires were, and it was agreed that we would have a unit installed in 3 bedrooms, living room, and kitchen. Unfortunately, due to the angle of our attic, 2 had to be placed where the drainage was not particularly favorable, but believed would work. Regrettably the unit in our living room leaked. On 3 occasions, technicians came out and worked endlessly until it was believed that the problem was solved, though the unit continued to leak. On the third attempt, a larger hose was attached to the unit and the problem has been solved. From the first issue, until the final completion, the office staff, Karen, and the technicians were as pleasant as anyone would desire. We would recommend Reliable to anyone who needs new units, or repair, or maintenance. Reliable lives up to its name. Kuddos.
Reliable is a phenomenal company. Karen and Eli, the owners, are wonderful people. They provide the best service and the highest quality product at a fair price. Their technicians are fabulous, highly skilled, and dedicated to exemplary service. Reliable provides the best customer service. I just installed a new HVAC system and they were with me every step of the way in a very complicated process. Reliable has done my mainstream for years and it feels like they are family because they treat you that way. I highly recommend them.
I have been a customer for 5+ years both for my personal unit AC as well as common area AC units for our apartment complex. Prior to using Reliable our HOA had been swindled out of so much money by other companies. Reliable is aptly named... you can count on them to do the right thing in a timely manner at a reasonable price. For those living in the Los Angeles area beware... there are alot of bad players in the HVAC business. Reliable will take good care of you. Also Karen is amazing at coordinating everything and is very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you guys for everything you do!!
We have been a customer of Reliable since 2003 and we will probably never use anyone else. They send competent technicians, cost of servicing and repairs is never a surprise. We trust them implicitly. They are indeed “reliable.” 🤗🤗
the technician, Gilbert, installed a new Nest thermostat, set up my iPhone to operate the Nest remotely, added some coolant to my Air con system, and checked the functioning of my heating, cooling system. I am handicapped, and Gilbert helped with things that are difficult for me, without being asked. A very good experience for me. John Gallas
The team is excellent! They provided a quick, conservative and honest assessment of my HVAC system. They found the necessary materials to repair and replace my faulty ducting. They completed all of the repairs quickly and communicated with me throughout the process. I’m very thankful for their assistance and my restored heat.
I found Reliable Air Conditioning & Heating to be very customer-oriented and responsive. They evaluated the issues with my old broken furnaces and knew exactly what to do to get heat back into my home. Eli and Renzo thoroughly checked out my heaters and gave me a detailed analysis of what was wrong and what needed to be done. Technicians Jaime and Rudy worked hard without delay or interruption. They worked efficiently and did a complete clean-up afterward. Karen in the office was courteous, knowledgable and professional, and Janelle in the office was very nice and well organized. I highly recommend this company. I found them capable and concerned with customer care.
I had a wonderful experience with Reliable Ac & heat! I was overwhelmed with how attentive they were over the phone. From my first call I felt they were trustworthy. Most of the time when searching for these services you feel like you are being ripped off etc. Reliable was not only professional they went over and beyond and came to my house to fix our heat on New Year’s Day which is a Holiday. It was life saving because it was freezing. They are Amazing!
Great customer service. Santiago came to service my very old condenser. He was polite, professional, helpful and honest. He made sure that I knew what he was going to do. I was very impressed that he did not try to sell anything to me. In fact,, told me that it is still in good condition regardless it's age. I will surely use Reliable AC and Heating on my future HVAC needs. I highly recommend it!
I highly recommend Reliable AC & Heat! They are extremely reliable, knowledgeable and truly experts in the field. I spoke with Karen who is so nice and knowledgeable and she explained in detail the issue and how they were going to repair it. She is amazing! They were responsible and on time. Santiago who did the repairs with another technician was great and they took lots of care in doing everything right. I will use them for all of my air conditioning needs and will recommend them to my friends and family.
Our new a:c works so well! I have to wear a sweater. Each step of the process was well explained. No surprises. Great communication. They helped with the rebates. I highly recommend!
I have a 10-yr old Carrier Infinity. The Infinitive control was not broken and beyond repair. I called many Carrier authorized dealers, Reliable A/C is the ONLY company that quickly diagnosed the problem over the phone (free) and found me the new replacement thermostat. Karen is a totally dedicated manager, committed to customer, and most importantly transparent and honest. Despite the huge demand for their service, Karen was able to have the thermostat installed on their first available service appointment. To me, Reliable A/C is simply the best in expertise, service, responsiveness and value.
With the hottest weekend on-record approaching, our central a/c decided to stop working. We had not been happy with the couple HVAC companies we used before, so we didn't have anyone to call and we knew everyone was going to be slammed, with no appointments available for a week or more. I read the reviews for Reliable on their website and here and decided to give them a call. BEST THING WE EVER DID. Karen was as knowledgable about our complex zoned system as she was sympathetic to our plight. Within a couple hours, we had Gilbert here diagnosing the problem and getting us up and running. Even though it was after-hours, there was no overtime or premium charges. We made it through the heatwave and Reliable now has a customer for life! Don't hesitate to give them a call.
Arrived when expected and fixed clog drain. Had my HVAC working again in 2 hours. Will request their service again if needed.
I first hired Reliable Air Conditioning and Heating ten years ago, to install a ductless a/c unit in a bedroom not cooled or heated by my central a/c system. Due to their expert maintenance of the unit as needed, the ductless unit, as well as my older central unit both still work properly now 10 years later. Karen and Eli, the owners, care deeply to provide prompt, quality services with the help of their well-trained, polite, professional and efficient crew. I can always count on them to come to my rescue for emergency services during heat waves or occasionally during lack of heat in the bitter cold. They are aptly named RELIABLE, so you can stop shopping around and call them for a thorough well-done outcome. I rarely write reviews and this glowing one is LONG OVERDUE. This company has become like family and I feel fortunate and grateful to have them in my arsenal of exemplary business relationships. In my experience, those are few and far between in the service industry, and so very hard to find. Thank-you Karen for your problem solving and dedication to customer satisfaction. I never have to panic, knowing I can trust in you and your crew, especially Santiago, to take care of everything!
