Robert and his team were great! They were on time, professional, very nice, and called/texted/talked throughout the entire process. Especially impressed by the lack hidden fees!! He checked everything, made his recommendations, gave us time to review our options, and there was never any pressure from him to buy the most expensive units available. —Highly recommend!
Robert and his team have always bent over backwards to come service when we’ve had issues. Good quality work, and fair pricing. I appreciate that he doesn’t try to upsell us, just lays out what the facts are and lets us make the call.
Superb experience with Rob Akin and his team. He is extraordinarily well versed in his field and can explain the what & why of his recommendations in as much detail as you'd ever want. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he stays up-to-date on HVAC technology and even policies by attending classes on a recurring basis; this was the reason he could tell me about tax incentives tied to my new HVAC system (that means he saved me $$$ because he was knowledgeable). His team of installers was equally professional. He also didn't gouge me for "consulting costs" like Brooks Bros, who visited without decent answers and left my wallet about $100 lighter. I got an honest assessment of my unique situation, an accurate estimate, and polite/ expedient follow up. Also locked in a recurring maintenance contract because he explained the "why"...and it made **much** sense to my engineering mind. I had a great experience with ACS from start to finish! These guys are very knowledgeable of what they do, as well as the equipment/product they sale. They explain need to know information concerning your service and product in simple terms for you to understand exactly what you are getting! And their prices are very reasonable with method of payments. I will recommend ACS to anyone who acquired their service.

We have used ACS on several HVAC repairs and recently on a major unit replacement. They are without a doubt the best company we have dealt with. ACS was fantastic to work with. They gave me a professional opinion on the problem I had and allowed me to decide how to handle it. I ended up deciding to replace my unit and they had it ordered and installed within 2 days. I felt their price was fair reasonable and am very happy with the work.
Our a/c went out and Robert came the same day to access the problem. He determined it would be best to replace the 11 year old system. He had the Ammana in stock and his personnel replaced the unit the next business day. They were very professional and did an outstanding job installing the new unit both inside and outside. I highly recommend ACS.for all heating and air conditioning work.
ACS was very professional. I have used ACS in the past and when the AC went out this time, AC was very responsive to come out and check right away. ACS provided several options for the style of AC that we needed. Once all the details were worked out, ACS was very fast in getting the AC replaced. I would definitely recommend ACS.

My upstairs air conditioner went out suddenly and what might have been repair turned into replacing the unit. I have had ACS Air Conditioning Systems handle my air conditioning maintenance for years. Robert Akins provided 5 quotes for different system options, answered all my questions and I made an informed choice for the replacement unit. His people came on time and left everything as clean as they found it. Needless to say I was thrilled with the service and love my new unit which is so quiet and energy efficient. Two thumbs up for ACS.
I really appreciate Robert and his team. We had an issue with cooling the house. My husband called and was able to reach Robert. After explaining the situation, Robert stated that he would add us to the list but it may be two days before they can come out. They came out the evening stated. They diagnose the issue and began fixing it. Then they realize they did not have enough freon to recharge the system. They could have said that they needed to come back on another day but they met up with Robert for freon, came back and charged the system. Did I mention that a storm was heading our way? We were ready to pay for the freon but then we heard the words 'no charge'. They are reporting their findings of what caused the issue. I truly, truly recommend this company. God smiled on them and moved the storm more north and held the rain until they were finished.
Robert and his team are true professionals. They offer great products at great prices, and are very responsive to customers. ACS has provided HVAC solutions for us since 1998 and they are my go-to team!
Update: AC unit did fine through the summer but this Saturday night I had no heat. I called the office number at 730 on a Sunday morning and one of their associates texted me immediately. They were at my house this morning (Monday) at 9am and the heat was back on by 1030am. No charge because I was within my 1 year labor warranty. Great business and great people. By far best customer expeirence for AC service in the huntsville/madison area. Had about 5 companies come out and look at my hosue and ACS was the only one that actually suggested downsizing my unit, based on my house size, just to save me some money. My AC was struggling during a week where the heat index was over 100° everyday. I called around to get it looked at and a different AC company came out and accidnetial discovered a leak that emptied all of my system's freon into the attic. After hearing what they would charge to fix or replace my system I stopped myself from passing out and told then they could leave. I called around to about 5 different companies in the huntsville/madison area and ACS was by far the best. They were the only company that took the time to talk me through all of my options near term and long term so i could save the most money. The agent I worked with handled everything for me and was avaliable by phone, email, or text. The only snag we ran into was a part getting delayed at a Tennesse warehouse. My agent took the time to track down the problem and worked out a way for someone to drive to the warehouse and pick it up for me. The next day some ACS guys came out and installed the system in about 6 hours. System has worked great ever since. The smaller unit hasn't had any issues cooling the whole house and is much more efficient and quieter than my old one
In September 2022, the A/C in our home stopped working. I called Robert Akins at Air Conditioning Systems (ACS) and he and his HVAC technicians (Dave Hall, Nick Akins, and Alex) came out promptly and diagnosed the problem that our old 20+ year downstairs HVAC was no longer working and needed to be replaced. They ordered a new Amana 2-stage 18 SEER system and it was installed within a couple of days. Given the supply chain problems the world is facing, I was impressed that they were able to replace the system so quickly. The new unit included a digital multi-function programmable thermostat. Robert and his team are very professional and quickly installed the system. We've first used ACS back in 2009. Our house has two A/C units (one for upstairs and a second for the main floor and basement.) and a heating furnace. In 2009, Robert and his ACS team replaced the the original (year 2000) upstairs unit with a 15 SEER split heat pump. We've been using ACS ever since. ACS has done our routine periodic maintenance throughout the years and fixed occasional issues with a clogged condensate pump and leaking evaporator coil. This most recent work was for our main floor/basement unit. The photo shows the 2009 15 SEER unit (upstairs system) on the left and the new 18 SEER unit (downstairs system) on the right I recommend the ACS team for all your heating and cooling needs. Robert and ACS will do it right.
Robert has installed two units for me, both as emergencies when they failed. He managed to secure a gas pack for me over the weekend in spite of limited supply. They were on time and everything works perfectly.
Repaired what ended up being a minor problem that completely took out my system, fixed the issue quickly and gave a minimal charge.
ACS replaced my upstairs unit about 4 years ago and it has been running smoothly ever since. They replaced my downstairs unit recently. They did an excellent job from beginning to the end. They are very professional and efficient. A few days ago in the early mornings hours temperature went down to 30s to 40s, my heater kicked in and I smelled like burning smell but I wanted to make sure everything is fine since it is brand new. I called and Robert, the owner, stopped by very soon and checked again. Everything is fine. In a few hours the smell was gone. I highly recommend their service.
