H. Jack Langer Plumbing and Heating

Supposed to be a free estimate never received one. Plumber went straight to snaking the pipes then said he couldn't snake the drain. Left my bathroom a mess and still not working but you best believe they wanted that #$$ for a job never completed. George Winston is the way to go!

4:00am the carbon monoxide detector was sounding. The furnace was shot. 12 degrees outside. Called Jack and he had a crew at my house by 8:00 and they began working installing a top quality furnace. By 4:00 pm my family was back into a comfortable home. Excellent workmanship.

Needed to get a new hot water tank. There were a few mishaps getting the tank replaced, however HJack always sent someone out very fast to fix things and gave me a refund. Friendly and professional service.

Christian and his partner installed a water softener for me. They were professional, courteous, and knew what they were doing. They went above and beyond in setting it up, explaining it to me, and ensured it worked properly before leaving. I highly recommend them. Thanks!

Excellent Service! Labor Day weekend and main drain backed up in basement. Started making calls and no one to be found! Third call to H. Jack and within half hour two professional, competent, and pleasant servicemen knocked on the door. Half hour later, drain was cleaned out and the price was right! Will use again and highly recommended!

I've been a customer of Jack's for 30 years. It started pre-internet days when our water heater burst on a Sunday morning. Who you gonna call? Jack's people came right away and installed a new heater. He charged an extra $50 for the weekend service. The next day we drove to Sears to check out prices. Jack was spot on -- no cheating, no inflating the price. I've trusted him with furnaces, toilets, air conditions and sump pumps ever since. His crews are professional, competent and personable. Can't ask for better than that.

We could not relight the pilot light on our gas stove heater. Called H Jack and they came right out. They looked at it, did the exact same things I did (tried to light it with the igniter...). They then called me at work and said the replacement parts would be $900. When I said I wanted to sleep on it, the service guy tried to strongarm me by saying we wouldn’t be able to get an equivalent heater and fixing it would fix it for the long term. After my wife told me they didn’t even take the heater apart, I popped the front glass off and relit the pilot light with a lighter. Like I should have to begin with. Now I’m out the $119 service call charge, which I basically paid for them to tell me the fix would be $900 more. Highway robbery. Do not trust these guys. They’ll bilk you first chance they get.

Update: The owner called me personally after seeing the review. He apologized and offered a partial refund, then a full refund. I appreciated the goodwill.

Excellent service! The technicians were polite, timely and got the job (installed a gas line for my dryer) done in record time! Will be calling them for all my future plumbing/hvac needs!

When my engagement ring was accidentally flushed down the toilet, I was devastated, literally in tears, I had NO idea what to do, I thought it would be long gone once flushed. My aunt had me call H. Jack Langer, and Jack went above and beyond. He calmed me down, explained my options, and sent his best guys to my house, an hour away. He said it was a 50/50 chance to find my ring. Dean and his partner got the job done though. I can not thank them enough for their persistence, guidance, and proffesionalism. I would give 100 stars if I could! Thank you H. Jack Langer!!!!

Hot water from boiler unit wasn't working. I did what I could to determine the problem and even replaced the zone control valve. Come to find out it was a wiring problem where a wire nut had been removed and fell off. He traced it down, wired it up and boom HOT WATER COMMETH. I felt kinda silly considering all it was but when it comes to electrical I leave that to those that know. Cost me a service call only. Very professional and friendly.
