They did an adequate job, if sloppy in a few spots, with my housewide insulation upgrade.
But then I contracted with them for a seismic upgrade and their organization was really poor: several instances of people within their team just not communicating with each other and me having to call to ask what's going on, and worst of all, the foundation test that should have been done before i signed the contract, and which determined my eligibility for the deal, happened weeks into all the planning/visits, and rendered me ineligible! I'm not impressed and would think twice before dealing with them again.

GreenSavers was our GC for a Clean Energy Works Oregon job in March of this year (2013). They insulated and sealed the whole house and installed a new furnace and tankless water heater. They were quick and professional. But the reason I'm finally writing a review now is that I woke up this very cold Saturday morning to no heat. I determined that the condensate pump on the furnace had stopped working. I left a message at the main phone number, but knew that they likely wouldn't get it until Monday. I only had one cell phone number, for one of the home performance consultants, so I called him. He not only answered the phone, he immediately called the project manager, who called the HVAC installer, who was here within the hour to fix the problem (and leave me with his cell number for any future problems). Now that's service!

I really like the professionalism of the people from Greensavers, Nick and the other woman who came out to measure. I liked being able to sign the contract in my own home, electronically. Things were explained well. I was given priority for getting the job done, since I had no hot water. The plummers re arranged their schedule, Mike I believe to work me in. I appreciate that. I also love my new tankless water heater. I would refer people to Greensavers without a problem and am grateful for ethics, professionalism, ability to coordinate the work done, etc.

GreenSavers installed a hybrid water heater for me. They were competitive price-wise, good communicators, and it was an excellent installation process. Highly recommend.

From the walk through, to the various installs, to the quality check....it was all top notch. I would definitely go with them again. They can do most of the work in-house, so you only work with one person. When there were problems, they addressed them immediately. I'm very satisfied with the work.

I hired Greensavers to do some weatherization and to install a heat pump system with ducted and ductless components. I've had nothing but problems, and communication from Greensavers has been imprecise, slow, and evasive.

First, they installed the wrong outdoor unit. What I asked for, and what they specified in the quote they gave me, was a Mitsubishi 42k BTU system, of which only one model exists, which was a HyperHeat model. They instead installed a 40k BTU system without HyperHeat. When I pointed out this error to them, they required me to pay extra to get them to install the unit they had quoted in the first place. On top of that, the unit they had installed wasn't working properly.

Then when I brought up the constant clicking and popping and creaking noises from the indoor units, which was loud enough to wake me repeatedly all night, every night, whether the units are turned on or not, they were slow in responding on trying to take action.

Consistently, they would wait until the very end of the day on Fridays to reply to my emails, and even if I answered within 2 or 3 minutes, it would be the next Friday again until they replied.

On at least one occasion, the person they were sending out to try to fix the problem never even showed up.

Then, after almost 4 months of slow back and forth communication and no resolution to the problems, they've simply stopped responding to me. The last time that they came out to try a fix was in mid April, and I let them known on April 19th that the problem still existed. They haven't replied to any of my contact attempts since then, and it has been a month and a half.

Here we are now, half a year after the system was installed, and there are still problems that Greensavers has acknowledged, but is refusing to make right. This is after they installed the wrong unit and made me pay extra to get the unit I needed (and that they quoted) installed instead.

I had new insulation put in my attic and in the crawlspace. They were very professional but weren't afraid to answer questions or let me follow them around. They were very good at explaining what they were doing. This applies to both the initial assessment crew as well as the work crew.

The team was very professional, arrived on time, finished the work early, cleaned up better than before they arrived and rapid response to questions. The only reason they did not get 5 stars is that their communication between sales, management and forman could be better. They did a great job and recommended.
