Gentlemen driving the Mcphilips van was weaving in and out of traffic riding cars from behind. Not a safe driver at all and a terrible look for the company. The back of the van said Kevin so whoever that driver is needs to ease up while driving.

Needed a valve replaced. Service person did not show up with correct tools for the job. Took almost an hour to turn the main water valve off, then needed to leave to acquire the correct key to shut the water off. Mind you the water meter was installed by the city less than 24 hours prior. Repeat trips to service truck (15-20x), then needed to leave (again) to acquire the parts he needed to do the job. Also, informed them of what service was needed. So you figure they would show up with the parts needed. No estimate given. Then charged 2 hours labor, plus parts and a service charge.

My condo manager sent McPhilips to replace my outside garden faucets in June 2022. They were installed badly and both faucets are now leaking. McPhilips does not provide a warranty on their work.

I’m new to the area and was directed to mcphillips plumbing and heating threw a co-worker .Worst customer service and horrible Dispatch skills , Heating dispatcher Diane was very rude when I FINALLY got in contact !
Called for service she did not return my call .I called the plumbing dispatch and was transferred
Diane stated she was busy and sometimes calls get missed ( WHAT ) and advised I just tried calling back rather than expect a return phone call from her .I explained my issue and she told me no one was available for about 2 months they had real emergencies they need to take care of first ! Needless to say I will NOT be using their services , I say get rid DIANE bad representation for this company !

One of there plumbers told us we needed a hot water heater. While he was there he said we should replace our toilets because we can save money on water (they have the four gallon tanks), so we picked one up at the same time we got the hot water tank. He told us how much it would cost and noted what we would need, and we told him we would be getting in touch soon. My husband called and confirmed the charges with the receptionist prior to scheduling. We called and were told someone will be out between 8 and 10. At 9 my husband calls and was told someone will be out in 15. He calls again at 9:30 and was told he'd be there in 20. My husband had to cancel because he couldn't rely on him being there by 10. It was scheduled for the same time the next day, he shows at 9:45. It takes forever to drain the heater. He doesn't have a shut off valve (which was noted by original plumber). What kind of plumber doesn't have a shut off valve. We asked if he needed a permit, and he said no (which is a lie). He charged at anywhere from $132-$232 more than the original estimate, and the second one too. My husband has been calling for a month to tell them he needs to speak to the owner. Either they don't answer when the see his number or they just don't call back. They didn't give us a receipt, nor will they send us one. They also have nothing to say about the wobbly toilet they installed. I guess it would've been nice if he installed the nut. We found it in the driveway, but aren't sure how tight to tighten it (it still wobbles).I guess we should've waited when we had a problem with the bill until the plumber contacted his manager.

Initially, I received great service at a reasonable price. However, the plumber was inconsistent - we scheduled for three days in a row; the first two were canceled due to emergencies so I was understanding, but the third day I waited an hour for the plumber to end up being a no call no show. This is after the plumber had confirmed the appointment the morning of and was aware that my problem escalated to a flood in my basement. I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience.

We have been customers of McPhillips over the years; got a furnace, they replaced a couple of plumbing components and they replaced the pipe from the street to our house-they were always responsive and as reasonable as a plumber could be. We always sang their praises whenever anyone needed a plumber. But, yesterday our hot water tank died on us and I called McPhillips-she said there was no record of us and explained how busy they are but they could have someone come out today btwn 11-2, I got a price from her and said okay. At 1:30 today I called to make sure we were still on the schedule and she told me that they were out on an emergency call, and you know, emergencies are emergencies-yes, I know, we were having our own emergency. She said that she could get us an appointment first thing tomorrow morning. After no call letting us know what was going on, we had no faith and called another company and they were out within an hour and are finishing up now. Not sure if there has been an ownership/managment change, but after reading some of the other reviews, there is definitely something wrong here. Very shocked & disappointed in the service or lack thereof...

Contractor came out seemed to be professional and thorough. However gave me the invoice for quote and when I looked at the invoice it was completely blank..Contractor gave me verbal quote, but when I called company back next day to get the quote and correct invoice, Somehow they could nor find the Contractor or the quote, nor could they identify who came out ...SHADY

Last Monday (1/11/2021), Ernie came to fix my furnace. He was able to clearly explain to me the reason my furnace wasn’t working. Step by step, he identified that the issue was my draft inducer motor fan .That same day, he was able to get the replacement parts. Then clean the dusty parts inside and performed leak test. I was glad that it was done in just a short time. I would definitely recommend him for his professionalism. Surely, I would prefer and refer this company if I would have other issue like my air conditioning and others.

I requested a quote for my furnace replacement and Kurt reached out to me to set up an appointment. The appointment was for Monday the 25th of October between 10:30 and 1:30. I took off of work in order to be available for this appointment and when 1:30 came and went, I called back. Call went to voicemail so I left a message. Literally no call back. No follow up. This is absolutely ridiculous. When the only number I was able to use was for a guy named Kurt with no business name in the voicemail box and a personal email address, I should've been leery. But many contractors are like that so I gave him a chance. Never again. I will be seeking my services elsewhere.
