I call Fire and Ice Heating and Cooling when my heat went down during the winter storm, Jan 2016. Joe came out that day figured out what was wrong with my gas pack unit. Joe told me what it was going to cost to fix the gas pack which I agreed too. Upon get the parts Joe returned installed the part and we had heat. What a wonderful feeling to have heat when it’s cold outside. Joe then asked me to pay him, but it was $200 short from what we talked about. Joe then explained the reason the price was less than the agreed price. Its great to know Fire and Ice Heating and Cooling is looking out for its customers.
My family had an HVAC emergency yesterday. My wife called from home and said our AC was not working. With a 6 month old and a 2 and a half year old on a 94 degree day, thats a big deal! Within an hour Fire and Ice was at our home had our unit fixed and gave us peace of mind. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I can absolutely recommend!
I have an old unit that is going through issues and may have to be replaced soon. This business is open later than most and does a much better job calling you back. It's technician is very good at explaining the what's going on with your system as well.
Called to ask when is earliest availability was told tomorrow at 7, was ok with that. Second question i asked was how much is the diagnostics fee. The person who anseered replied with: " Honestly I am not iterested in price matching, i am so busy i can pass up on the work if your goal is to find a cheaper price keep looking" I was take aback because i did not ask for a cheaper price, i did not mention pricing except to ask how much it was going to cost me. I believe knowing what i am going to pay before i waste anyones times is a legitimate question.
I expressed my dissatisfaction at the person on the phone for making an assumption that i was concerned about price, he apologies and stated, Normally people ask me how much is my fee and try to get it for less or try to get me to price match and typically the next question is will you apply it toward the repair" I understand that its your right as a business owner to have a set fee and thats ok but do NOT make assumptions, i was calling because of of my apartment units is not blowing cold air and a tennat is upset so having someone there asap was more important that cost but it still my right and obligation to know what i am going to be charged and simply asking. Furthermore even if caller was price shopping that is 100% fine if you cant handle people calling you to ask your price find another line of work or hire someone with a little more patience or customer service skill.
Arrived on time and took time to thoroughly troubleshoot and solve a tricky AC issue that 2 other companies were not able to. Professional and knowledgable.
