    After the original service call on 12/2/22, this contractor pretty much disappeared. They said they were trying to order a part, but I received no confirmation of anything for 2 months. I eventually contacted the home warranty company who had assigned my work order to AMR. They dispatched another contractor who had my furnace up and running in an hour.

    Stay away from AMR.

    Never showed up to appointment on Saturday, tried to call and no answer. Called my home warranty and they were able to some how get ahold of them and rescheduled for Tuesday, and to my surprise, NO CALL NO SHOW.

    Home warranty is scheduling me with different company now.

    Truly a joke of a so called business!

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Bill is the owner and he is a scammer he will be a nice guy then take you money and not do anything else and comes up with excuses and not give your money back

    AVOID AMR for repairs!
    My home warranty company had sent AMR to my home to repair my HVAC system. Bill was super responsive and quick to come to my home, made the repairs and left. Later that night, I turned on the heat to my house and nothing happened, the AC worked but no heat. Contacted Bill and informed him that it was not working, he said that he would return in the morning. He did return the next morning, he stated that I would need a new thermostat for my home to fix the situation. He told me that he would be back in a week to replace it.
    After 2 weeks, I reached out to Bill to find out when he will be out to finish the work. I got no response, I reached out again a few days later because there was an ice storm coming. He finally responded and said that he would be back by that Friday. Friday came and I waited, I texted Bill again around 1:30 to find out an ETA, no response. Bill never came to my home on Friday and he never called, texted, or anything to let me know.
    This week, which was 3 weeks with out heat, I reached out to Bill again, no response again. I entered in another service request with my home warranty company, appointment was scheduled with AMR for Wednesday morning. I waited Wednesday, no call, no text, and no Bill.
    I finally, fed up with the continued ghosting from AMR, reached out to another HVAC company to finish the repair. The other contractor came out the next day and completed the repairs quickly.

    This company was assigned through our home warranty for annual HVAC maintenance on my house in Cornelius. They scheduled a time without connecting with us then never showed up! Their phone is busy 100% of the time and there is no way to get through to them. There is no website for their company that I can find anywhere and they do not reply to facebook messages.

    I even called our home warranty and they said they have been invoiced for the service which was never done and the ticket has been closed!!! Im writing this negative review simply to see if the owner will contact me to schedule the service I've already paid for as I have no other means to contact them!

    I'll remove the negative comment once you all do what everyone else says - fast response, great service????. Its been 5 days since my request and no one has contacted me!

    is what you'll find yourself asking when you use AMR Heating And Cooling, INC. I was as gentle as can be, and money was never an item - I got a COMPLETE, BRAND NEW SYSTEM installed through these guys and asked for a "complete update" with new thermostats and new zone control, so that my system could function "logically and in an ideal way" with a condition of "like new", and I offered a "no-ceiling budget" and "no deadlines or time requirements" to accomplish this. Well they removed my old zone control and gave me stories about supply availability for the new zone control board FOR NINE MONTHS before I decided to pull the plug and switch companies today. First company I called, Acosta HVAC & Electrical, said they're putting in new zone control boards on a daily basis and they don't know what the problem was. So you see? Was it incompetence or malice with AMR? I can go on.. unresponsive - getting these guys to do anything - ANYTHING - was like pulling teeth. As a paying (high paying, no less) and super friendly, forgiving, flexible, and gentle customer, I expect decent (nothing crazy) service in return .. I want to be taken care of, I want technicians to put on their designer hats and offer to do things and charge me for those things - this was communicated to AMR; just mind you I have no issues expressing myself and communicating needs and intent for their analysis & assessments. AMR forced me to NAG THEM to get anything done - and I do mean anything. THEY DO NOT DO THINGS THEY SAY THEY WILL DO. AMR says they'll call? They won't. AMR sets an appointment? They will no-call no-show. AMAZING THAT A COMPANY LIKE THIS EXISTS AT ALL. Again, I reiterate, NINE MONTHS of this after CONFIDING IN THEM with a no-ceiling budget to do a COMPLETE, BRAND NEW SYSTEM. On the initial installation, they only installed it *just enough* to get the unit cooling my place (no new zone board, 1/2 thermostats installed) and, like I said before, gave me a story about supply availability (which turned out to be bs) for NINE MONTHS. Once it started to get cold, and I ran the heater, come to find out the heater has all kinds of problems. The heater is SPEWING THE SULFURIC NATURAL GAS SMELL through all the vents in the home, AND AMR IS AWOL - UNRESPONSIVE - NOT ANSWERING THEIR PHONES/TEXTS. (so of course I do not turn the heater on anymore, and now a different company will get my business.) This to me feels like malice on the part of AMR. I have never seen a company so terrified of, and so vehemently opposed to providing good service and workmanship. I *never* write negative reviews. *NEVER*. As I mentioned, I am super understanding and forgiving as a customer. Food industry workers got my order wrong? "eh, nbd, let it go, maybe just place another order and pay again, good opportunity to tip them twice, they're trying their best and for that they deserve to be rewarded."

    The owner Bill Brewster is a shister claims my insurance company didn't pay for free on which found out they do he told my company he got my company mixed up with someone else so I had paid him out if pocket so he owes me 375.00$$ which myself an insurance company has tried to reach him to no avail. Please do not use this company!!!!!

    Bill was extremely amicable and courteous. He saved us quite a bit of money on maintenance on our AC unit and made several good recommendations regarding future maintenance on our unit. We will definitely use AMR Heating and Cooling, Inc., in the future. Thanks, Jack & Ellen Barnwell

    All 3 of my AC units went out at the same time. I paid another company $350 and they did absolutely NOTHING to fix the problem. We were without cool air for two weeks! I found a home warranty and AMR was assigned to assess the problem. Terrance came out and was on time, super friendly and fixed all 3 units. I called him our Super Hero!!! Amazing job, T!

    John and Terrance were very professional and polite. They were very efficient and got our new unit installed in record time. Steven and Jenny are very nice and courteous. I highly recommend AMR Heating and Cooling. Would definitely use their services again.
