Much like some of the other reviews I have read, my problem was because I had a warranty for my home, they tried to nickle and dime everything to the tune of $485.00. Our hot water heater started leaking in the middle of the night, my husband had to shut our water off and I called our warranty company the next day. Our warranty company contacted several people who could not get to us for a few days, but Accent said they could get here right away. The tech cut our incoming and outgoing lines and capped them both so we could have cold water to our home. First mistake. We have been told by our new plumbing company there was no reason to cut both lines. Next, our warranty company called and stated what they were paying, but that there were $485.00 worth of items they were not paying for. I then called Accent and was told the rep (Jennifer) would need to call me back. I waited and never got a return call. Friday morning rolls around (3 days later) and no one calls. Finally I call them and she said Jennifer had been trying to call but I wasn't answering. I said no and she told me Jennifer would call me back. I called 2 hours later and stayed on hold until Jennifer answered who claimed she had been calling me all morning and when I argued with her she said my phone number was written down wrong and she had been calling someone else. I ask her about the out of pocket expenses and she tried to explain them and I told her I needed to talk to my husband I and would call her back. After 10 minutes I called Jennifer and left a message. Almost 2 hours and no call back so I call again. Jennifer had left for the day and would call me Monday. Monday comes and goes and no call from Jennifer. I call the warranty company and they magically can get Jennifer on the phone. I told her what we were not willing to pay for due to not needing those items and she said she would call the tech and email me. I got the email and one of the many problems was insulation on my water lines. She said our tech said code was no more than 10" of exposed pipe and we had 2 feet. I went up to my attic and measured 8" of exposed pipe and took pictures. I ended up taking a cash out from my warranty company to avoid being ripped off by this company. At most my out of pocket expenses would be $50 said my new plumbing company. The company I hired said the $485 makes up for the normal price of installing a water heater in an attic and what the warranty company was actually paying them. They were ripping me off to make up for the negotiated price with the warranty company. They never once called me in 6 days, I had to call and call and call to get any answers. They took on our task even in an escalated situation and have dragged it out for 7 days so far, and I called a plumbing company and am now getting a same day hot water heater installation for $852.00. Bad customer service, and overpriced. AVOID!

We didn’t end up purchasing any services from Accent but I felt, in my personal obligation to give a shout out to Kirk due to his outstanding customer service. His willingness to present a Fair, cost effective and reasonable product was truly refreshing. During our conversations I felt like Kirk truly understood my situation and was going out of his way not only to get me a package that I needed, but at the best possible price - well beyond what he could easily say is the “take it or leave it” price. I felt he was 100% genuine and honest about what packages were available and what were best for my situation. The only reason we chose a different company was a family member association with another company. If at any point I become disappointed with my decision I will not hesitate to give Kirk a call.

This company is everything that is wrong with the HVAC industry. They came to our service through First American home warranty, we had to wait 2 weeks for our appointment, then 3 hours before our set time we received a phone call informing us they were running early and on their way to our home. We were out grocery shopping, so we informed them it will be a little while, where we were then informed that if we were not there on their arrival that we would have to reschedule.

The following day, we received the invoice for our out of pocket expenses to be over $2,000 for replacing the Evap coil. Our warranty company was covering the freon, unit, and labor, yet these price gouging, self serving, thinking people don't know anything about their line of work, commission driven individuals, were still billing us for over $2,000. I immediately requested another contractor and was passed to Charlotte Air experts, where they only took 2 days to come out to evaluate, on time, wrote a similar invoice with all the same material I wanted done, for an out of pocket cost of $600. This company might do good work, I do not know, but I would suggest looking elsewhere of you do not have deep pockets.

I typically don't post reviews but people need to know about this company. I had great service from the person on the phone to the technician who came out to the house. He was courteous, professional and explained things in a way I could understand. I was thinking it was going to be much worse than it was but it turned out to be a broken clamp - a quick and easy fix. Its such a good feeling when you realize that you're dealing with honest people who know what they are doing!

Frank and his team are the best! I called to get a chandelier installed in my mother's house on a Friday afternoon and they were there Monday morning! You get them on the phone every time and they are always friendly and kind. Would recommend every time!
