Boer Brothers Heating & Cooling

I noticed that my air conditioning was not working very well, so I called Boer Brothers and they had someone out to the house in about 45 minutes or so. Unfortunately, my old gas pack (20 years) had developed a leak in the coil, so it needed to be replaced. The service man was very friendly and informative throughout. Have used Boer Brothers for years and will continue using them!

Had an appointment for A/C repair. Took two days for someone to come out which seemed fair given it’s summer. The tech told us the compressor was dead. I asked for an estimate. I was told we would need a new A/C unit, furnace and entirely new duct work (our home was built in 2007)! Seemed excessive but still asked for estimate. I was told someone from sales would contact me. Two days later I received an email stating a salesmen could be there five days later. Seriously! The tech was already there, took pictures even and told me what we needed. Just give me a price. How long do I need to wait while we are sweating from the heat. Too long is the answer. We moved on to someone who could give us an estimate without making two trips and waiting 9 days plus however long we would need to wait to have the work done.

I had a good idea of my A/C's issue already due to the symptoms but reached out to Boer for a second and professional opinion as well as potentially repair services. Called in the morning and got lucky as a tech was available later in the day. The tech called and arrived within the window block agreed on; he was thorough, polite, and knowledgeable in the description of the issue and checkout. They were able to get my A/C unit fixed and provided quotes on further replacement options. Repair costs were fair and all around I look forward to working with them in the future.

I called on July 4th, got an immediate response and my unit was fixed within 2 hours.

The technician was efficient and was able to fix my unit even though I was out of the house since it was so hot.

We have a boiler for our house that heats the home and water. The gas bill was $400 in APRIL when no heat was being used so we knew there was a problem. We couldnt find anyone in my area that knew anything about boilers until I called them! The 2 gentlemen that came were not only early but very knowledgeable and helped us figure out the issue. I would 100% recommend their service.

A home inspector had told me I needed work on my a/c even though it was working well. He also noted ac ducts needing replacement and a leak from the furnace, adding moisture to my crawlspace. Mark, from Boer Bros, came for an evaluation and told me I didn't really need to have work done on my 11 yr old a/c unless I was going to sell my house - it would likely continue to perform well and finish its lifespan.

Mark later sent me a quote for the duct work and for replacing a little plastic box on the furnace. I accepted it. But when he arrived to do the work he said the plastic box actually cost about $450 less than the quote - so, I saved that much money. I so appreciate Mark's integrity and professionalism. He reflects well on the company!

I always have a great experience with Boer Brothers. The employees are always professional, friendly and explain things well to people unfamiliar with HVAC systems. I’ll continue to use their services in the future for my HVAC needs and refer them to anyone needing that type of work done.

I opted not to use this company because their quote was quite literally $7,200 higher than the next highest quote I received and almost $12,000 higher than the vendor that did replace my system in December. Part of the difference was that Boer Brothers recommended that I replace 100 percent of my duct work in both the crawl space and the attic, even though they hadn't even been in the attic to look at the condition of the duct work. Although some duct work needed to be added to accommodate a new zone system, and there were some repairs needed to the existing duct work, none of it needed replacement. And then they charged me $99 to come out and tell me that my system needed to be replaced. Very disappointed considering the number of excellent reviews this company has received.
