Today was our first experience with Sila Services after their merger with Astacio. Robert Clarke the technician was at my home to fix the issue with my ac system. He was knowledgeable and told me exactly what he was doing. He tested the system thoroughly after fixing the issue. I am very happy with the service Robert provided.

We had a great experience with Sila in the beginning of our relationship. They installed two AC systems for us. Their yearly maintenance was done well. We had no problems until this year. Maybe it is due to the merger with another company. They arrived to do the maintenance of our systems. We explained how we have two systems and at the time of installation we opted to go with a higher grade filter. Every year we have to explain what type of system we have and what is required from a parts perspective before coming to our home. This year, we followed the same script, but the service that followed was not what we expected. While the technician was nice and knowledgeable, he did not have the necessary parts for our system. Then the company failed to follow up timely regarding what we need for our system. When I called to find out what the delay is, I have to explain the entire situation again. In addition, when you call customer service - they bounce you around their call center and tell you that the next person you speak to will be a manager when in fact they are not. I guess I would trust Sila to do an installation again, but maintenance and high customer service/ satisfaction after an installation is not something that they are living up to. It is a shame to see this company deteriorate.

We had a wonderful experience getting a new system installed by Sebastian and David with Sila. Sebastian was incredibly helpful, listened to our concerns, helped problem solve and gave us regular updates daily. The Sila team was kind and professional, and nice to be around. We enjoyed having them in our home for 5 days for this pretty big project. In fact, after the work was complete my toddler kept asking when Sebastian and David were coming back because he missed them. And the system is functioning very well. All in all a good experience I would recommend.

For those reading, I have put in 2 systems using Sila and although they might be a bit more expensive than Home Depot, like other large companies your experience depends on who answers the phone. I’ve had 1 bad phone conversation with Sila and just asked to be transferred to another person. Over the last 6 years, their service and quality have far beat Home Depot or even other local HVACs. Don’t let the 1 bad experience ruin your perception.

Hunter came to my house to perform a plumbing evaluation. He was thorough and efficient. He explained what needed to be done to rectify all plumbing issues. The price quoted for each issue was detailed and fair. I did not feel like the company was out to make a quick buck at my expense. I intend to use them for all my plumbing needs.

I received and accepted a quote in late April and was told the install could start in a couple weeks.
5 Weeks of waiting for permits later (2 weeks waiting for a zoning permit that was denied, then 2 weeks for the re-submission and another 1 week for a mechanical permit)
I was told the mechanical permit was approved and in the mail and I would be called to schedule the install as soon as it was in. I did not revive a call the next week, and so I reached out on that Friday and was told I would be called by EOD.
Again I did not receive a call. Over the next week, after multiple calls and multiple missed call back windows it took till EOD Thursday to finally get someone to reach out.
Rather than setting an install date, I was told, they would not proceed at the original quote because the salesman made a mistake.
Their new offer was simply to remove the "mistaken" discount. I did not proceed with the install.
