Sila Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical

Sila did some service on my central air conditioning last year and again this year and I have been very pleased with the service. They keep in touch by text, they are professional and pleasant to deal with, and as far as I can tell they do good work.

Today was our first experience with Sila Services after their merger with Astacio. The purpose of the visit was a home plumbing inspection and evaluation. Our technician was Hunter and he was fabulous. On time, polite and his explanation of what was right with our system and what he suggested for upgrades were clear and concise. He also took care of a couple of minor things to improve one of our sinks, one of our showers and one of our commodes. If Hunter is typical of the Sila/Astacio professionals then we will be using their services for any future needs we may have.

Calverton Duffus, technician who serviced AC unit, was excellent. He was knowledgable and thorough and resolved the issue in a timely fashion.

I cant express how good Sila is! Beginning with our sales rep Ekaterina (Kat), she was amazing. Full house - ductless installation for (3) floors. Kat is incredibly knowledgable, thorough, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Kat is a true gem! To top things off, the lead installer Sebastian is a craftsman and truly dedicated. This guy was patient, precise, and eeeeeextremelyyyyyy good! A total MacGyver in every sense. This project was not easy and he made it as smooth as possible for us. Both Kat & Sebastian are true artists in every sense of the word. We are very pleased with the process from start to finish. We are very fortunate to have stumbled onto Sila and most importantly Kat & Sebastian. Thank you very much!

I have never done a review before but after the installation service performed by Sila technician’s, it’s a must! Our boiler broke on New Year’s Eve and we called around to a few companies only to learn parts would take about 2 weeks to arrive. We had no heat or hot water with three little kids for 4 days already. We reached out to Sila and straight away the agent sent someone to our house free of charge within a few hours. He told us he would send the installation team out the very next day to install a new boiler. Somehow they were the only company that had literally all the parts and boiler unit available. The installation team arrived the next day at 8am and didn’t leave until 10 pm when the job was complete. They should have left and come back the follow day but said they couldn’t leave us with no hot water and heat for another day. They did overtime even after their day was officially over. Clean, efficient, professional, skilled and kind are only a few words to describe these guys. The following day they did a follow up check and even fixed an electrical problem we have had with our HVAC for 7 years within minutes. We will be customers for LIFE!

Excellent and experienced technicians. Our first call was Last minute call no problem. Wonderful person who explained issues clearly. Reasonably priced. We then moved forward with a complete replacement of our dinosaur furnace and ancient AC. Colonial era home required major duct rebuild and 3 days of work. Sila team was incredible. Everyone from sales to engineering to installation leads. Even connected us with an electrician who was honest, thorough and immediately responsive. Very special company.

Nigel was prompt and professional. The finished work was clean and we’re thrilled to have everything up to like new condition. Will definitely use Sila in the future. Thanks!

We just had them replace our steam boiler, and water heater. These guys worked hard and long, and did a great job. They even cleaned up the work area! I highly recommend Sila. And, I can't forget to give a big Thank You to Daniel for sales professionalism, and answering my questions in ways that I could understand. THANK YOU SILA!

Here are all the issues we've had with Sila since doing the project:

- On 4/14/21 - I was incorrectly sent an invoice for $9,015. I called Sila and was told the issue would be corrected
- On 9/2/21 - My credit card was auto-charged $9,015 by Sila. I initially paid for the project by credit card, but I never consented to Sila saving my credit card information. Additionally it was extremely alarming to be automatically charged such a large sum of money that I did not owe you. I worked with Chris Bodeman who got the amount refunded. He told me there was a computer glitch that incorrectly charged me $8,600 when the system was supposed to be billing me $415 for the permit. It was surprising to get an invoice for the permit for the project nearly a year after the project was completed but I checked the agreement and confirmed it stated that the permit would be billed separately, so I paid the $415.
- On 3/16/23 (today) - Sila just sent me an invoice for $8,600 which I just explained is wrong and that was the rebate amount. What's super alarming is that there have already been the major billing issues with my account outlined above, but this still hasn't been corrected in their records.

It's a shame because I thought Sila did a good job with the installation and I haven't had any problems with the system, but the back office processes are such a mess and some of the things that have happened feel almost criminal.
