Cannot give 0 stars.Dave at the office is a condescending,arrogant phone answerer.He sent the tech to look at my Carrier equipment that did not work and I had no heat.Technician needed lots of hand holding because he never worked on my particular heat pump(too complex for him)After checking the equipment he said he would contact local distributor and get new circuit board.He never did,I have been waiting(without heat) for 2 days.And today Dave told me that they will not work on my pump because they did not install it. Awfull company,incompetent,owner hiding behind his staff,does not have a decency to answer the call complaining about HIS company.
1/2 star because they did pick up the phone and send a technician over. That was all they did except charge $118 to tell us they would have to come back when our A/C unit unfroze. Ordered an unnecessary part for us that took 60+ days to come in. We then contacted another company who fixed the issue same day and had necessary part in the service truck. Hhhmmm.
It looks like they are either really great or lousy. Unfornately I got lousy. My elderly neighbor called me because she did not have heat. I was able to get the system running, but told her she had three things that needed to be fixed. We called Boruque, because they installed the boiler. When the plumber arrived, I informed him what had to be fixed. He immediately starting complaing that the job was more then what he expected. He then was annoyed by some light weight stuff hanging from the beam and said “These are $700 glasses and I am not going to ruin them. This set the tone. I told him that the zone valve was leaking and he argued it was’nt said it was coming from the union. I told him it was and When the system is hot, it comes out the corner. He said getting a replacement valve will take some time. I agreed, because we had that experience last year when another zone broke. He then proceeded to take the zone valve off. I said “is that wise since the heat is working now and it will take a few days to get a new one”? I said they are elderly and can’t tolerate the cold. He got all defensive saying he knows what he is doing, then took it off. It then at least proved the valve was bad, because water poured out of it. He put it back on. Then he started to complain that it was going to a half day to fix because he had to drain the system and sweat on a new zone valve. I said if you were going to sweat on a new zone valve, then why use an out dated one like White Rodgers. I said if you keep the white Rodgers then you won’t have to sweat on a new brass fitting, just put the new stem in the existing brass fitting. He said it doesn’t work like that. I said it did, found the brass fitting from last year on the work bench and showed it to him. (By the way, It was Boruque who installed it last year) This was the second time that a woman questioned him and he was now livid. I told him that I was just trying to keep cost down for my elderly neighbors, so why cut into the system if you don’t have to. He said no one was going to tell him how to do his job and with the permission of his manager he walked off the job saying find someone else. My guess is, they worried they weren’t going to make a killing on the job. Unfortunately, we are at their mercy because heat is a necessity. They should be ashamed of themselves, they left elderly people in a precarious situation.
Awesome service. First very cold day of the year and they were able to schedule us in when other companies couldn't. The service technician was polite and helpful. What I thought was a major problem turned into a relatively minor one. I will be using them again and will be recommending them to others as well.
Maybe you have too much business to handle or just dont care, but I had someone come to the house to quote a new A/C system on a Friday didnt receive a written quote until tuesday. Subsequently, you lost my business even though you had the best quote. Figure if I'm not important t enough to get a quick turnaround what service could I expect. by the way, the other sales people gave me a written quote on the spot.
