    -Prompt service
-Professional & left a clean workspace behind

I called JMI on a Friday when my 33 year old furnace stopped working right as a polar vortex was rolling in. I'm sure they were very busy, but a technician came out the same day and worked on it for several hours before coming to the conclusion it needed to be replaced. He took the time to show me what was happening, and he went back to the main office to bring me a few space heaters to get through the weekend. They were able to replace my furnance by the next Tuesday, promptly providing a quote and scheduling the service. I had to leave while they were working, but they left my house locked up and even cleaned up after themselves, including vacuuming! I am incredibly impressed by their diligent, professional, high-quality work. I will definitely call JMI in the future (but hopefully not in the near future).

I had a $10.00 switch problem with my furnace I called in aug. they never responded till oct. when the person got hear I was told he would have to order the switch and that because he could not fix it that day there was no charge. three weeks later they finally came and fixed it. When I got the bill$299.97 I thought that was steep but I payed it. Now two months later I get another bill for $129.60 . They are charging me for the first call plus a late charge do not use this company they are liars

My plumber recently retired, so I decided to try Jamestown Plumbing and Heating. I needed a bathroom faucet installed which I supplied. When I called about pricing, he said they get $110 an hour. I decided to go with it, since I figured it was a simple job. He came and installed it. It took an hour, so I was expecting $110 bill + tax. I was presented with a $218 bill! When I questioned it, he said he gets paid from the second he punches in at 8:00. He got here at 8:35, it’s a 10 minute drive from Frewsburg, so he could have been having breakfast for all I know. By the time he drives here, gets his tools out of the truck, takes a phone call, and writes up the bill, a one hour job turns into you getting charged for two. Of course they don’t tell you this up front, because no one in their right mind would hire them. Take my advice and get a plumber who charges by the job, NOT the hour, or you will be unscrupulously taken advantage of.

I’m disgusted!! When I received my bill I noticed a 10.00 fuel charge, yes that’s right .So they really expect their customers to pay for gas !! I use many venders and none of them charged me gas money. When I go to Wegmans and shop should I bill them 10.00 because I did business with them ?!?! This is insane.. Plus it probably only cost them 50 cents to drive to me house !! Ridiculous.. I’m Not paying this bogus charge !! This is crossing the line !! It’s the price you pay for owning a business!!

Two technicians came to investigate an odor coming from my furnace. They gave it a clean bill of health but failed to turn my igniter switch back on. When they had no emergency after hours number or service, I was forced to call another company resulting in $162 in charges. All because of their incompetence. They could have done the right thing and reimbursed me for the expense but they didn’t.

    TERRIBLE

Started out purchasing central air and added a new furnace and thermostat as well. They showed up when they were supposed to, were pleasant / professional to deal with and did a fine job installing the system. The total cost seemed very fair. What more can you ask for.

I called them up and requested an estimate on a broken pressure coupling next to my water meter in my new house, I informed them that the BPU will not turn my water on because of the location of this broker pressure coupling. When I spoke with the man answering the phone I asked if I would owe them any money for the estimate. I was informed that the estimate would be free if the technician was unable to help me out. Everything went fine they came and went. The technician was unable to help me and informed me his boss would have to come out and give me an estimate on replacing my waterlines under ground, that the pressure coupling can not be fixed. The technician was in and out within 10 minutes if that. A month goes by and one day I receive a $65 bill from them! I call and ask why when the guy did literally NOTHING! He was in and out and he couldn't help me! However because in their system they wrote down a leak in my basement the best they could do is take off $10. When I asked if I could speak to someone else in billing or even the guy I originally spoke to I was hung up on! It just goes to show that they can not be trusted! They will change prices after they speak with you!!! Scam!!!!!! Side note Circle Mechanical came in and helped us out contacted the BPU for us and got us an extension on having to have my water lines dug up until the spring, came in they fixed the pressure coupling and charged me only $168 plus their service fee for coming out! I never did receive the estimate that I requested from this company so why am I being charged!?!? I will be filing a better business bureau complaint if this $65 is not removed from my balance!

Crazy place, won't sell me a hot water tank to install myself. They have to install it. What a joke. I've been working on my house, fixing my own vehicles, wiring in electric, installing plumbing for 30 years. I know more than most installers do. Yet I am forced to get a water heater from a big box store to put in my house. Can't buy one of the " contractor " grade units, unless they hose me for install. Welcome to cooperate America. So I went with an a o Smith from Lowe's. Just put it in yesterday. Had to move it 20 feet and sweat new copper lines to it. Thanks for nothing Jamestown heating. Keep screwing the working man.
