We had a few problems over a 4-5 week period. All were quickly and properly diagnosed and fixed. LeAnn and Anthony were accommodating in setting up appointments and understood our problems based on descriptions. Jeff was the technician who came to our home most frequently. He was excellent at diagnosing the problems and fixing them. I would highly recommend using Maccarone
We were extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and quality of service provided by this company. As others have mentioned, they only created more problems for us to deal with and still charged us. Absolutely outrageous and I will be disputing these charges with my bank.
This is a very clear review. I had a condensate leak with my AC. I was a little nervous to investigate it myself, despite that I'm handy. We are in high heat August. I met a tech at a supply house. I called the shop. Rosie was polite and mostly clear. I was told I'd be paying time and a half. I thought I would pay the service fee and each half hour. I took apart the unit myself. The tech blew out a line. He was at my house for 23 minutes and left before 5 pm. It was $700. I called the office and was told that that was the conversation I had. There was no consideration at all despite it being before 5 PM and it was only 23 minutes. I had to pay for the full hour. Fine. That's their rate, shame on me for capitulating in desperation. That's their emergency or overtime rate. And they don't waiver. Buyer beware. 23 minutes was $700.
If I could give negative stars, I would. The guy came in, started looking at the pipe, and decided to pump water pressure to treat clogged pipes. Long story short, not only it did not work, but because of the method he used, the pipes burst in the basement (and the basement got at least an inch of water). Instead of helping get the water out, he just kept on going in and out of the flooded basement like nothing happened while I was rushing with the towels. At the end, after multiple attempts and multiple times I asked to him to do so, he decided to use to snake to clear the pipes. To make me feel better, he said he would not charge me for the overtime he worked/destroyed my basement.
Two days later I called the office and explained the situation, they first offered me $100 discount!!! They also mentioned that the methods used were acceptable but not the best thing to do in these cases...so my question is ‘why would someone come into anyone’s house to do a job, and do something that is not the best thing to do?’
When I told them I am not paying, they finally offered for someone to come back and inspect. When the ops supervisor came in, he said they had instructed everyone not to use the pressure thing anymore. The supervisor said they would not charge and will come back to clean and fix the damage. A week later, the charge mysteriously appeared on my statement, I contacted the supervisor I had spoken to, he replied back he would look into it, and since then not a word from them. I tried calling, texting. Nothing! The most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. I would never recommend them, never! Unless you want to spend money fixing your house afterwards.
The fire sprinkler installation was a disaster. It took way longer than it should have and the workers were so messy. It seemed like they were not properly trained to do this!
Called for service as I suspected a propane gas leak in my basement.. John, one of the partners, came down within an hour or so with his crew and quickly diagnosed the problem that was not in the house but a leak in the outdoor ground pipes. They assured me they would correct and complete the project and I would be safe even if they had to stay all night. They stayed until they could assure me I was ok and would come back the next morning to make sure everything was perfect. The next day a new crew came and was totally aware of what transpired the night before and what they had to do to complete the job. The best way to judge a company is when you have an emergency and really need them. I have the highest regard for the competency of this company and especially the two crews that came to our rescue. Each and everyone did there job and all were congenial and polite. I have not received my bill yet and hoping I will not faint or go into heart failure as I felt when I discovered this problem,. They had to break some underground sprinklers but hopefully they will repair them for us in the spring. I recommend this company for a small job or something very serious such as what I had. I will surely use them again unless I've fainted! Good luck.
Trying to get a hold of someone from this company was a nightmare. We left multiple messages and never received a call back. Terrible customer service.
Our furnace stopped working during the winter and our home began to smell like gas. Maccarone came highly recommended so we called them after speaking with a few other groups. Tom B discovered multiple leaks in our home, repaired them that same day and provided us with the paperwork needed to get the gas turned back on.The quote we received was very fair, but the service we received was exceptional- prompt and courteous. When our system stoppped working on a Sunday night, Marconi had us on the phone with a technician in less than 5 minutes. Frank was very helpful and helped me trouble shoot through facetime. Hard to find better service - it’s no wonder they have such a great reputation. Thank you!
I have used Maccarone for issues from clogged toilets to heater/hot water and AC, spending in excess of $10,000 over course of 8 years. they have many guys, some better than others. most are nice and fairly knowldgeable. biggest issue I have is lack of continuity for issues that require multiple visits or long-term maintenance, etc. different guy comes each time. they are also all business and charge way too much. I switched to Home Serve and even though level of proficiency was lower, satisfaction was higher due to much lower cost.

They overcharge you and the quality of work is still terrible! I won't be using them again for sure.
