We recently got the system installed and it's still a bit chilly (so we haven't fully tested the system) but the install team was on time and got the work completed in two days. Having done a little bit of work on the house I know how difficult it was to get anything done in the crawl spaces but they managed to keep it to two days regardless of that. They came in less expensive and with a central air system that other companies were recommending ductless units for. The guys cleaned up quite thoroughly after everything was done. DHAC came recommended from a friend and I would certainly recommend them to others.

I used dix hills air conditioning to install the central air system in my home. From the first year the system was installed we have had nothing but problems. Year after year the system would be serviced until Larry the owner said the problem is the manufacturer, and not to blame him as he is just the “ middle man”. We made a plan to install new parts into the unit. They have come to my house on three separate occasions with broken parts, which I refused to let them install into the system. Larry the owner swore up and down we would work together to solve this problem and how “ were in this together” he has since hung up on me multiple times and refuses to take my calls, never once have I even raised my voice to him. The most recent call from them demanded that I sign a contract and send a deposit for work they want to do. Why am I signing a contract and leaving a deposit when you have shown up with broken parts each time he has come here? The technician and office staff have agreed the system should be removed and a new one should be put in, not an unreasonable request considering the problems with the unit and the cost putting it in. I will also be seeking legal action, but please use this as a warning. DO NOT USE DIX HILLS AIR CONDITIONING! They are dishonest, do not stand by there work and are not being run like a professional company. Larry will use the sales pitch that he has been doing this for 50+ years. He is a crook and I hope no one else chooses to do buisness with such a corrupt company

Every HVAC company should be as honest and upfront as Dix Hills Air. Larry, the owner himself came to the house gave a free very informative consultation, gave the best price along with service to back it. They were very clean, accurate, and careful with installing a brand new central AC/Heat system. Would never use anyone else..and now the house is worth more ! It was a win win using them. When a company is in business over 50 Years, they are definitely doing it right. I noticed some negative reviews that were suspicious because it looked like they were coming from the same person. Im glad I took the time to speak to the real DIX HILLS AIR CONDITIONING out of the Huntington area, because my experience with them was stellar.

STAY AWAY ! This company is a major RIPOFF ! Ask them to fix a leak and the tech. only looks at the evaporator and does no testing, checking, or using sniffer tools to find out where the source of the leak is ! They ASSume it is the evaporator coil if it is an R-22 system. They do not want to repair leaks, but want you to pay for a whole New system costing thousands that will never last as long as R-22 and is inferior using the R410A garbage that run at higher pressures causing more wear on components. This place is only a Sales facility. They no longer Repair to save people money like the previous owners. And to top it off, CHARGE you for assuming what is wrong, not confirming the problem and for the service call ! You pay for NOTHING ! Oh and WATCH the owner reply and say "we have no name as this in our records". LOL yeah, because I am not using my real name so you can retaliate in some way. I don't trust people that are rip-offs and dishonest. That is why you will not "see" my name. Letting you know ahead of time.

To ALYSSA, COURT and LIFE - I am sorry for you all and the rest of course. This company is not the same owner family as they were in 1966 until sometime around 2000. The name is the same but not the owner's. Look at the YELP reviews too for confirmation. This company just is a revolving door of service calls, and Sales of inferior product. I am not surprised that their work is abhorrent as well. Be leery of the 5 star reviews. Those are the plugged ones.

Dix hills air conditioning provided outstanding service. I had another company come three times and not find the problem. All of the employees were kind and explained the whole process. They replaced my ac system and it is working wonderfully. From the office staff to all the technicians that worked on my home they were all amazing. I will not hesitate to recommend Dix hills air conditioning to anyone and use them for any further needs.

We had a great experience with Larry and the team that installed the equipment. They had the best price and where able to install asap. We looked at other companies that told us we had to wait till sept and the price was significantly higher. Dix hills AC came in 2 days it was July . System works great and they cleaned up and Larry inspected the job when it was done. Highly recommend this company.

When you need a new central AC for your home, they will come on their toes to your call for an estimates. When you need them for the service then story is different. We called them for the unit they installed few years ago. Their service man was not able to repair this unit and promised to come back in two days to finish the job. He left the unit open and never came back to finish the job. Company never called to schedule another technician to finish the job but instead, I received the service bill from the company.

I did not follow this post and did not know that Dix Hills AC left an answer.
Your technician left the air handler open in the attic telling he will be back. He never came back and no body even bother to call us to let us know if the parts were required. Instead we receive the bill in the mail. When I told that work was never finished and why I have to pay you guys. You started threatening to take me to the small claims court. Yes owners have to be very sweet in their talk so he can get your business. I needed other AC/ boiler units other part of my house but I did not bother them again. Look their reviews on Yelp too.

Our A/C unit was leaking water and I couldn't understand why, I called a few companies and no response for over 24 hours. I called Dix Hills Air and I got a call back within minutes and a service person was at our house within the hour. Responsive, clean, and most importantly - Honest/ Trustworthy. Fixed our issue and made sure everything was working in both units and the cost was incredibly reasonable. They saved us just before the big freeze a few weeks ago. Highly recommend Dix Hills Air. Big Thumbs up!

My central air conditioning crapped out the first hot day of the summer. I called 4 contractors and in the heat of the moment Dix Hills Air Conditioning came up with a great solution saving me a lot of coin. They are honest and didn't try to take advantage of my situation. They had my air conditioning up and running the very next day. I highly recommend them.

Seeing the negative reviews of DAC I was hesitant to call them. But my experience with them was very positive. My system was not cooling and technician Peter came over and did a diligent and thorough job trying to solve the problem. In the end a dye test was done and today technician Bobby came and checked the results of the dye test and the origin of the leak was found. I found both technicians to be very professional, polite and very knowledgeable in their work. Also, Mary the receptionist always calls ahead to inform when the technician is arriving which is greatly appreciated. Overall, my experience was very good and I would definitely recommend them.
