    I've been using Adema to check my boilers every fall for the past three years. They've always been very fair and reasonable until the most recent boiler check, on October 24th. The technician charged me $122 to clean and oil the boilers. He also included $160 as a diagnostic charge. My bill, which in the past two years had been $174 for the same service, checking the boilers and cleaning them, came to $306.68 with tax.

    It seemed a little high, and when it checked my records and compared them to the previous two year's service it was. It was almost double the price for the same work. I called Adema and talked to the secretary twice, who told me that all the techs were in the field and that she would talk to the tech who checked my boilers and ask him what his reasoning was for doing this, and call me back after she'd talked to him.

    Two months went by, and nobody called me back. When I posted a review on Google, Kyle Adema, the owner, called me and apologized for the bad service. He said he wasn't aware of the issue. He told me the tech should have quoted me the work he wanted to do before doing it, instead of doing it without telling me and then charging me for it. He offered to refund me $132.68, plus a $100 credit toward any future service. I accepted the offer. Kyle mailed me a check with a personal letter of apology a day after our conversation. Based on Kyle' s apology and follow up after my initial experience, I've revised my previous review. I'll continue to use Adema for future boiler checks and heating services.

    Hello, I had issues with my new Nest thermostat on the coldest day of the winter, yes it was a nightmare! Adema is a nest authorized install/repair associate for Nest. They sent a repair tech out that morning since I didn't have heat. "Mike" showed up promptly and took care of the "wiring" issue in 10 minutes. Friendly knowledgeable staff and techs make Adema number 1 in my book! Thanks for the quick and fast service! Will most definitely use them if I have issues again.

    I called for a seasonal inspection and maintenance in early October. Lady on the phone said they'd try to send someone out that afternoon or would call the following day to schedule an appointment. 2 days past so I called them back to make the appointment. A different lady then told me that they didn't service electric furnaces. I informed her that both units were gas and that I'd told the first lady one was pilot ignition and the other had an electric ignition. She informed me that there weren't any service calls going out that day and she'd call back in a couple weeks. Well, 7 weeks is most definitely more than a couple and I have yet to recieve a call back, not that I'd give them my business any longer. You'd think a business would try to foster return customers but this one was apparently satisfied with letting this return customer go to one of it's competitors. I won't call them again.

    I called to get my air conditioner repaired and was sent a technician who wasn't happy about being there complaining about his leg pain. They called from the office after he took it apart and gave me three options including replacing the whole unit or replacing parts I chose the later. Afer 6 days of waiting while we spent hot sleepless nights awaiting our repair, I called to check the status of the part. No one had ordered it yet they refused to admit this and became quite defensive. Afterr a colorful discussion I was called back and notified that the part would arrive in 24 hours. Then, I would have to make another appointment for the actual installation. The repair occurred. However, the air conditioning unit did not appear to function. They dispatched the same irritable technician who then said it was the thermostat. He did not fix it or replace it, just said it was the thermostat. We replaced the thermostat ourselves and the unit worked. However, we got an additional $58 dollar bill for the technician to tell us it was the thermostat, which, by the way was not broken before the unit stopped working. 4 weeks later the whole unit stopped functioning and after seeking other consultations it appears the technician failed to diagnose a leak in the air conditioning system on the inside of the house. Probably,, because the technician never bothered to check the inside of the house. BEWARE bad service, rude staff, huge rip off.
