My sister and I called this company out to do a "free estimate" on a repair on the furnace. He did not touch the furnace or use any diagnostic equipment, he spent 2 minutes looking at it and said the mother board needed to be replaced. My sister asked if he was going to run any tests? The issue could have been something else, as well as the mother board, but how would he know without testing anything. He said, "No, he's been in the business a long time and he "knows". He gave no written estimate or any paperwork stating the terms and conditions of this "free estimate" neither did the website. On his way out, my sister asked if there was anything owed? He said, "No, it's a free estimate and IF they did the work THEN the $715.00 quoted would include all costs. (This conversation was recorded on ring camera) This morning the office called and asked if we wanted to go forward with the repair. My sister said, "No, we are going with another company. Then she was told $107.00 was owed.
The man that came to the house then text her and said, in part, "If you asked for a price to replace it or ask for a price on the part that would be a different story, but I had to tell you what part it was. I can't just drive around town telling people what's wrong with their heaters for free." ....That's what "Free estimate" for repairs means... If the estimate is only free if THEY do the work, than it isn't free at all. And if there are conditions to this "Free estimate" than that should be stated up front. It definitely was not.
The "diagnosis" is nothing more than showing up and giving prices for parts without even touching anything. Even an experienced HVAC specialists has to run some type of test or do something that would warrant charging $107.00 for a "Free estimate".
Just another hustle.

I have used United Plumbing for various services throughout the last 8 + years. I was very satisfied with their work, until today. I was scheduled for A/C maintenance today. I was told by the office person that I would get a call or text when the technician was in the area. I never received any correspondence at all. I called the office early afternoon and was told the technician was completing another job and would contact me shortly. I then called at 5:15 pm as I still had no communication from them. Nothing all day long. I canceled their service, since they are obviously too busy to keep their past clients and future clients informed. This is sad. My time is important, as well.

My experience was justified by their work; with a strong crew, and a can do attitude, no job is too big or too small to relieve anything that arises. Richard is a cut-above-Master of anything with a roof. And all my features above or below ground that need to function. Thank you United! I will always recommend your truth and honesty. With honesty is confidence. God Bless.

Showed up on time and was extremely thorough. He spent extra time verifying all items were safe and ensured we understood the issues and explained the full costs
and implications of our situation. The quotes came in and were detailed in what was to be done and how much each item cost. Very impressed with Richard and his professionalism.

Avoid this business at every possible, turn and cost! Richard was contracted to install a septic system. He pulled a permit for the wrong size of bedrooms, he did extensive damage to my property and landscaping, the job ended up getting red tagged and then he tried to charge me more money, we ended up having to get a homeowners permit, and change the permit, and complete all the work ourselves, which cost us another several thousands of dollars! And to top it off, I just had the septic tank emptied, and found out that he had cracked the inside retainer wall between the liquid and solid waste, and now have to completely replace the septic tank again! Avoid avoid avoid (just a sidenote, I did file a complaint, with RLD, and because it was during Covid, there was not much they could do other than me file a small claims case). As another review on here states he does false advertisement had never pulled a septic permit or had done any septic installations (at least in Sandoval County) even though he talked a good game and told me how well he knew the inspectors, etc. etc. but they told me they never met him in their entire life! Run fast the other direction
**Update: no check bounced( if it were, you would have legal recourse, which you did not) it was a STOP payment on the 2nd payment because of inferior work and you didn’t permit or perform any where near acceptable which is why your work was red tagged and we had to pull a correct permit and finish the work. And YES , salt to wound when I find out you even did more damage that is going to cost me more money to repair/replace inferior work , feel free to reach out anyone that would like to see videos and red tagged information ***

Though I live in Albuquerque,
my mom is an elderly lady who lives alone in a rual area in La Puebla New Mexico.
She doesn't have her own well for water and her water souce comes from my brothers well which is over 500 yards away. With such a distance and living in an isolated location surrounded by several trees causing shade with no sun on the pipes ground, often times her water line gets frozen and she is left without water for days on end. In January, I reached out to United Plumbing and spoke with the owner Richard Montoya who was extremely knowledgeable about the issue at hand. He expressed sincere compassion and empathy for my mother and stated his heart went out hearing my mother had been without water for a few weeks. My call with Richard was on a Sunday afternoon, Richard stated he will go out asap to inspect the issue. Thinking the dispatch would happen later in the week, I was enthusiasticly impressed to receive a call from him a few hours later, where he was outside my mothers house to inspect the issue. Richard and his technician headed to the well house where Richard found the water freezing had caused busted pipes in the well house having no heating which caused the water to freeze numerous times. With flash lights, and the headlights from the company work van they worked well into the night until my mom got running water. United Plumbing installed a new heating device in the well house and even a few days later came back to ensure my mom still had water. Their sincere compassion to the elderly population is truly remarkable. I am beyond impressed that not only did
the owner of United Plumbing make the outreach himself, he did a weekend/evening emergency call. I can not say enough good words about United Plumbing!!! Thank you so much!
If you are looking for a family man who truly cares about your family's plumbing needs, look no further United Plumbing is the company for you. Thank you again Mr. Montoya.

United is always first on my list. They have helped us out with A/C repairs, a full heating system replacement and plumbing issues. Always fast and friendly.

In my daughters words “I’m so happy we have heat now ”. Richard and his crew helped us out turning on our heater for the season. They were so kind and professional. This is the best quality work that I’ve ever had . For them to sanitize, vacuum the furnace and make sure everything was safe for us before they left was something I’ve never experienced before . Thank you so much United Pluming 💜

I had a small issue I getting clogged drains cleared. Standard stuff. Here is what was impressive. They stayed doing three or four more tests ensuring that this would have been resolved. I have not seen that level before and it was refreshing.
