My A/C went out late in the afternoon just before the 4th of July Holiday. The outside temperature was about 104, We were taking care of our 7month old Great Granddaughter. I called Five Star Refrigeration and they quickly responded. Technician arrived and accessed the problem and got it resolved. They were very busy during this Heat Wave. I appreciate Five Star for their quick response

They do not know how to wire and install a/c units properly. I had them installed a new unit in December I hadn’t turned it on because it was to cool in December. I tried turning it on last month and it didn’t work. They had told me there work has a 1 year warranty but when I call they told me know I only had a 30 day warranty! I was like no you told me a 1 year plus it a brand new unit that was never turned on! The owner refused to send a service person to look at it until I paid them $100. Long story short I had to have a different company come and fix there mess. So if your looking at five star refrigeration my suggestion is to run run far way. Any other company can do better then them.

This company is awesome! After getting the run around from everyone else, Liz and Tanya took care of everything in a timely manner and got us a great price for our AC unit replacement. % Stars crew was on time and very professional. All questions answered on the spot. We highly recommend this company!

Albert was professional, knowledgeable, and timely. He diagnosed a burnt out electric motor in one of our A/C units, and immediately called to ascertain if the warehouse had a replacement. They did, and he quickly retrieved the replacement as well as a new fan. After installing the replacement, Albert checked our other unit to determine its condition. Considering the rapid response, professional attitude, and quick repair, I would recommend Albert and 5 Star Refrigeration.

Showed up 2 days after we scheduled them after we left our shift late in the evening. They said on of our freezers needed a new compressor cost $1500 that was not including labor and that the refrigerator had a leak in the lines.. My husband told them go ahead and repair the leak , don't mess with the freezer is to old to pay that much for a compressor. The man said OK he was going to repair the leak, then called back immediately saying he would have to come back Monday as he didn't have the stuff to repair the leak and asked for payment for coming out. We paid him over the phone and he never returned our called us.

Company responded in quick manner. The Repair technician (Aldo) was extremely knowledgeable and polite. He diagnosed the problem and had repairs completed in less than an hour. I highly recommend 5 Star Refrigeration.

We had a pretty poor experience with this contractor tbh. Here is some of what you can expect...

- Friendly Technicians (the one positive)

- It took 3 weeks for the initial inspection report to get from Five Star to our warranty folks. When I called Five Star, all we got was "we sent it, there's nothing else we can do". It required us setting up a three way call with the warranty people to get them to resubmit it after multiple calls back and forth.

- Multiple delivery attempts for the new AC unit failed before "someone was home"

- Charged 2100 dollars for a roof "modification" which turned out to be a couple metal pieces welded together and bolted on. The home warranty folks said this "seemed high" but was out of their hands. At this point, we were pretty much stuck and had to pay.

- No itemized receipt despite calling and asking for it 3 times (I've given up on this)

- When we asked when we could set up an appointment for the installation, the person on the phone said "if I tell you tomorrow, you'll call me at 8am tomorrow, so I'm not going to give you an estimate". Pretty rude. Also, we were 2.5 months into the summer without AC at this point.

- Install team showed up with a crane the next morning without any sort of notification or appointment. Fortunately we were home. But still.

- Screws, zip ties, and trash were left all over the roof and lawn. Fortunately we didn't step on anything.

Five Star helped me out with replacing my a/c unit under my home warranty policy when previously the company wanted to charge me for "extras." Also, Five Star did a repair job on my second a/c unit very promptly.

Talk about unprofessional!!!! I don't know what happened to decent customer service, I have never been treated so poorly! I called to schedule for an in home estimate. A few days later I received a call from some Aldo; the guy was rude, pushy, and unprofessional! I don't know why he thought to continuously ask me how serious I was about making a purchase (I am serious enough to have the needed cash readily available and pretty much on hand!) because he did not want to come out to my home unless I was serious about making a purchase and scheduling an installation soon after if "HE" decided to meet me! He went on to only be willing to meet on certain days and times of his with absolutely no compromise. Wow really, that was the biggest deal breaker. Truly sad considering the reviews and recommendations, I will never call them again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone!
